Hi there,
I have transferred my calling card app Smart card to my new Huawei Mate 8 using Titanium Backup but it doesn't work.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it and also other apps like Calling Card Pal and Easy Calling Card but still nothing.
They just don't dial up the dial tone numbers.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?
Thanks
Does anybody have an answer?

Hey everyone.
I was wondering if anyone found a "fix" for the problem with HTC Sense regarding Phone application? Its displaying both Sim contacts and Phone contancts. I have unchecked the Sim contact in people tab but i want them hiden in phone app as well.
I do not wish to delete the sim contants as I like to have a backup incase i switch to a non-android phone for emergencies.
Thanks
Im wondering f there is a way to turn my HTC Thunderbolt into a tablet. What I really want to be able to do is be able t be able to remove any calling features and make it WiFi only. The reason for this is that I have this phone laying around and want to be able to give it to my year old to play on without the worry that he will get into the dialer and accidentally dial 911. I want to basically turn what I already have into a tablet for hin so I dont have to share mine. Any ideas?
You could disable network in settings and then use an app-locking app so you need a password to open the settings. You could call the phone company and have them shut off service to the device. You could use titanium backup to delete the phone and messaging apps.
Just some suggestions off the top of my head.

Kid's Place, it's an app that will lock the user to only the apps allotted. I use it when punishing my son for screwing with his phone instead of getting ready for school.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but why don't you remove the (micro) SIM card? Doesn't the phone let you take it out?

It's often possible to dial an emergency number even without a SIM card (depending on country/network).
These are all great suggestions pretty much none of which I would have thought of. The only foreseeable problem that I may have is the emergency dialer at the lockscreen. 911 is the only emergency number that you don't have to add and can never delete. Can I delete the dialer in its entirety through root? The SIM idea is great however there are 2 problems that arise with that. 1) The Thunderbolt does not require a SIM card, the SIM that's in it is just for LTE so you would be able to have it active without the sim just no 4G speeds. 2) SIM cards or antyhing else for that matter are not required to dial 911. No matter how long the phone has been deactivated or if the SIM has been remover, you can still dial 911.
You should be able to delete the dialer via titanium backup if you're rooted. You could also just disable the lock screen if that's where the 911 button is.

hi guys I set up both sim cards in my new mate 9 (MHA-L00) and I'm able to receive calls for both lines, messages only work in sim1 not sure why, my main problem is I can make any calls or send any sms/mms because both apps are crashing as soon as I open them.
If I remove 2nd sim card everything works fine. Have any of you experienced same behavior?
issue is gone after I received latest OTA

1. Both Sim card have network and data enable and bills are paid ..everything working fine.
2.i can make call on both sim
3. i can receive call on both Sim
4.Both Card cannot send SMS ... but working fine sending MMS.
Since the beginning, I have in mind that my issue came from a ''hidden settings'' from the phone that might not be set properly because SMS was working fine in the first 2-3 days of owning this device.
Both sim card work good when I put them on my Old Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom. I can send SMS from the Zenfone.
My device is Vivo Iqoo Neo 855 (Model: V1936A) Firmware version # PD1936C_A_1.5.39 (Monster UI / Funtouch OS 9)

You have the same issue ?
Whats is your Device ?
check your SMSC be sure that it is correct.if so than u should preform FACTORY RESET SETTING (without losing ur deta of course)
Finally I've called my carrier and they Reset my profil. That's fixed my issue for few days. Afterward, it's coma back so called my carrier a second time, reset my profil again and than I change SMS app by default and this issue never came back for 3 month.
So basicly, in my mind, the default sms app of this Vivo Iqoo messed up with my carrier profil.
Please,
is there some way for setting one of dual SIM for sending SMS. Staff with default SIM for phone work, but not for SMS!
Thanks!
Mario
And why is it the second sim card by default?
Same here. Sim 2 is set by default. Don't know why.

Same problem on my phone - Poco x3 NFC. In Dual SIM settings I can choose default SIM card for calls and default SIM card for data traffic. But if I want to set default SIM card for texting - no way Jose.
I look like a moron, bcs I send one message from 1st SIM card, next message from 2nd SIM card etc. People must think I am retarded when texting like that.
Try this workaround

Since the link no longer works let me quote the content of that link:
1. Set the SIM card (which you want to set as default for SMS messages) as default for Calls and Internet,
2. Temporarily disable the other SIM card,
3. Send a message to anyone,
4. Re-enable your other SIM card,
5. Re-adjust the default SIM settings which you changed in step 1.
* It still does not affect the conversations in which you have already sent messages using other SIM card.
** Step 1 is required for step 2.

Say goodbye to your problems...
Worked for me on my Pixel 4, with Android 12. Even with the physical SIM set for SMS it kept using the ESIM until I switched off the ESIM, sent a message then switched it back on. Must be a bug in Android.
If someone get here and above methods doesn't works, in my case helped "wipe all data" for messaging app. I didn't lost messages.
Yes mate. Thank you so much
