1. Both Sim card have network and data enable and bills are paid ..everything working fine.
2.i can make call on both sim
3. i can receive call on both Sim
4.Both Card cannot send SMS ... but working fine sending MMS.
Since the beginning, I have in mind that my issue came from a ''hidden settings'' from the phone that might not be set properly because SMS was working fine in the first 2-3 days of owning this device.
Both sim card work good when I put them on my Old Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom. I can send SMS from the Zenfone.
My device is Vivo Iqoo Neo 855 (Model: V1936A) Firmware version # PD1936C_A_1.5.39 (Monster UI / Funtouch OS 9)

You have the same issue ?
Whats is your Device ?

check your SMSC be sure that it is correct.if so than u should preform FACTORY RESET SETTING (without losing ur deta of course)

Finally I've called my carrier and they Reset my profil. That's fixed my issue for few days. Afterward, it's coma back so called my carrier a second time, reset my profil again and than I change SMS app by default and this issue never came back for 3 month.
So basicly, in my mind, the default sms app of this Vivo Iqoo messed up with my carrier profil.

[Q] SMS not sending

Ive manage to repair my network on my Nexus but now the only problem I had its when im sending an SMS it wont send it ... there is a little red triangle ... anyone know how to fix this ?
Do a *#*#info#*#* go down to smsc and hit refresh. If it come up with 0's our blank, get your sim repushed, reboot your phone then check. I would get this problem of I tried to update the sim though that menu.

what do you say about repushed sim ? unplugued the sim card and replugued it ?

[Q] Unable to send out text messages after factory resetting unlocked A2.

Able to receive text messages. But unable to send even a simple thank you message. I tried "factory reset" two more times, but no breakthrough. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
It sounds like you have a APN issue. My suggestion would be to find the APN settings from another Android device (preferably something similar to the A2) and copy them over.
If that doesn't work, try resetting one more time and starting the phone without the SIM card in and then installing the SIM card.
APN couldn't be am issue, as this is posted from my A2. Also I'm able to call and receive text msg. Moreover I got the APN settings pushed from my service provider's Web site after the first reset. That reset w/o SIM is interesting, as the SIM was kept in the phone for all resets. I'll try that.
Sometimes these sim cards can cause some very strange issues. My sim from my old OG ATRIX wouldn't work in my new A2. And neither would my gf's . But a quick trip to my nearest AT&T store and a new sim card fixed everything. If yours is bad your nearest provider should have you a new one free of charge
Figured out the same. Removed my SIM, popped in a Reliance SIM, and all three unsent msgs were auto sent (those guys will be cursing me now). Put my sim in another Moto, tried sending an sms, it didn't go. So, visiting bsnl customer care office tomorrow to change SIM. Will post then. Thank s to both of you for taking some time off to post.
Couldn't get a replacement SIM, as BSNL staff are on strike. Will try to get a new one tomorrow.
Its solved !
Didn't get a replacement SIM. BSNL customer care gave me a number as the number to be set for message center. Couldn't locate that feature in A2. Put my Sim in good old L7 and fed the message center number in outbox settings. Now message was delivered (from L7) ! Put it back in A2, composed & sent a msg, bingo, msg delivered !!
I never thought a phone could program the SIM. BTW how to do it in A2 ?

[Q] My phone won't receive text messages.

Hi guys,
I'm really upset right now, I just switched carriers from Lycamobile to Ultra Mobile. Porting my number took 5 days... I really like the deals that Ultra Mobile has, but I haven't been able to receive text messages since I switched. I CAN make/receive calls, send texts, and use the data, but not receive texts.
I've tried:
Taking the battery and SIM card out overnight
Factory reset
Sending a text to myself (which worked)
Flashing a new ROM (3 times)
Checking the SMSC number (It's correct)
Trying a third party messaging app
Wiping cache partition and dalvik cache
Clearing the messaging app's data and cache from the Application Manager in the settings
I've put my SIM card in another phone and waited 15 minutes, but nothing happened.
I've called Ultra Mobile customer service at least 10 times in 72 hours.
They tried resetting my texting service but that didn't work. They also said it's possible that the when I ported my number, there was a mix up and some of my services are stuck on my old carrier. (How the hell does that happen?) Then another guy told me that it says it was successfully completed on their end.
I just took it into the T-Mobile store near my house (Ultra Mobile uses T-Mobile towers) and they tried sending a text to me with the SIM in their phone, which worked. So I know that it's NOT the SIM card OR the service. It HAS to be something with my phone. I think it might be the settings, but since I factory reset it and it still doesn't work is really confusing me. Do any of you guys know a possible solution?
I'm using SAZY ROM 5.0 with that ROM's firmware. I tried Dirty Unicorns and ExSlim also.
Thanks in advanced.

Yes, it work. Check ur textmessage center number from ur mobile company site. And then change it to textmessage settings.
I checked them and they were both correct already.

Are u sure? U can't check them with custom roms i think. I put my sim card to my sister ancient phone and changed It from there.
It maybe with your Service Provider

I "fixed" it. Well, not really. I just switched service providers. I couldn't put up with that crap for much longer. But the service I switched to is much better. $20 for unlimited data and texting, and 500 (I believe) talk minutes. It's called "Red Pocket" if anyone wants to check it out. I think it runs on T-Mobile towers, not 100% sure though. Also, you need to unlock the phone, but it's worth it.

Set SIM card default for sending SMS

Please,
is there some way for setting one of dual SIM for sending SMS. Staff with default SIM for phone work, but not for SMS!
Thanks!
Mario
And why is it the second sim card by default?
Same here. Sim 2 is set by default. Don't know why.

Same problem on my phone - Poco x3 NFC. In Dual SIM settings I can choose default SIM card for calls and default SIM card for data traffic. But if I want to set default SIM card for texting - no way Jose.
I look like a moron, bcs I send one message from 1st SIM card, next message from 2nd SIM card etc. People must think I am retarded when texting like that.
Try this workaround

Since the link no longer works let me quote the content of that link:
1. Set the SIM card (which you want to set as default for SMS messages) as default for Calls and Internet,
2. Temporarily disable the other SIM card,
3. Send a message to anyone,
4. Re-enable your other SIM card,
5. Re-adjust the default SIM settings which you changed in step 1.
* It still does not affect the conversations in which you have already sent messages using other SIM card.
** Step 1 is required for step 2.

Say goodbye to your problems...
Worked for me on my Pixel 4, with Android 12. Even with the physical SIM set for SMS it kept using the ESIM until I switched off the ESIM, sent a message then switched it back on. Must be a bug in Android.
If someone get here and above methods doesn't works, in my case helped "wipe all data" for messaging app. I didn't lost messages.
Yes mate. Thank you so much

Poco F2 Pro not sending sms (most of the time)

Hi there,
I've been searching the internet for someone with a similar problem but nothing helped me.
My phone : POCO F2 Pro 8GB version
What's happening?
The phone functions normally except for text messages. Most of the time they are just stuck on sending . I've had some success by clearing all data from Google Messages app , uninstalling updates and rebooting the phone but this is just a temporary fix (sometimes works for 20 minutes and then stops but most of the time it just doesn't help).
Things I tried:
- Changed the SIM card
- Put another SIM into the phone from a different carrier (worked but I only tried it for like 10 minutes)
- Tried a different messaging (Textra) , this worked for a limited time.
- Looked for anything off with the SMS Center Number but it's set correctly
What I noticed :
When logging into Mi Account, it tries to send a verification message but always fails . I logged out completely from the account but nothing.
I know it's not from the carrier since it worked fine with my old phone (S9+).
Could this be hardware related?
Thank you very much
Did you try to move SIM from Slot 1 to Slot 2, and then back? Redmi Note 5 had this issue for me, from time to time I had to change slots...
So far, on PocoF2 I don't have any problems with SMS.

This might be a different topic altogether ... I have strictly this topic, I can not activate my SIM card with MiCloud services. To activate it, the SIM tries to send a SMS to a +44xxx number and my carrier does not have a commercial relationship with +44xxx network, so the SMS is restricted by my carrier and not sent. Other than that, my SMS sending/receiving works fine.
Update : look like my phone sends texts normally without any problems to specific numbers like my work phone
Hi. I have the same issue. The problem is existing only when the VOLTE service is enabled. Try to move on 3G only or just stop Volte under 4G and it will be ok. Unfortunately Xiaomi are using some specific technology for volte sms sending and the your network provider does not support it. The phone is trying to send SMS through SS7 instead of SIP protocol when VoLTE is enabled. I'm trying to find a hidden menu where I can eventually switch or choose a protocol but without success.
I have the same problem too. did you find the solution?
Disable the chat feature in the messages app. That worked for me.
unfortunately it does not help, only after turning off the volte and restarting the phone it starts sending

Heyy man!!! Really appreciate your help for this fix!! I can send sms now if I turn off volte!! But that's too much to lose for just sending a text message... please update us if you find any permanent solution for this!! Respect+++++
Device: Poco X3 (indian)
Hi, i just upgraded my phone from vivo y19 to Xiaomi Poco x3 Pro. One thing i noticed about this phone is that, it works fine in almost every department except for one thing. The SMS messaging. I notied that whenever i send sms to some one, it takes too long to send and the result is they keep receiving my text multiple times. Sometimes 10x somtimes 12x, and its really annoying especially when i send sms to my higher ups at work. My network carrier has good connection, all apps are updated, even the firmware is up to date, but the problem still persists. I already tried using 3rd party sms app, hoping to fix the problem but its still the same. Already tried factory reset but the problem is still thesame..
anyone having the same issue? Im kinda frustrated lately because of this..
I have different issue on Poco M3. SMS works except that *some* incoming messages are eaten by MIUI and never arrive in inbox. Have disabled chat option and spam protection, tried with Textra too. Biggest problem on that issue: it is not reproducable, every time we try make some test it works. Have disabled VoLTE now, not sure it has any effect

This is not the right place to post, the problem may be similar but the phone is different.
There is a thread for your phone here or here .
if you want help it is necessary to give basic information such as rom etc ...
And the first thing to do before tinkering is to reset the phone.
I don't think phone model matters as this is some issue with MIUI 11 and 12 (also on Poco F1 and M3)
