Hide Sim contancts from Phone? - HTC Sensation

Hey everyone.
I was wondering if anyone found a "fix" for the problem with HTC Sense regarding Phone application? Its displaying both Sim contacts and Phone contancts. I have unchecked the Sim contact in people tab but i want them hiden in phone app as well.
I do not wish to delete the sim contants as I like to have a backup incase i switch to a non-android phone for emergencies.
Thanks

Couple things...
1. Have you tried a different contact to sim app? There are about 30 that I have found.
2. Just curious why you want them on your sim card... Google syncs directly to the phone, so no need to link to sim, unless it's for use in multiple phones...
Anyways, what is the exact name of the app you are using? I will try it out and see what my results are.
Just manage your contacts with GMail, or Outlook, or Yahoo, etc. Also with the SIM you only have a few fields you can use, Name, Phone, and Email are the only field's you can use.
i have been trying to use contacts 2 sim and copy to sim card. both say it cant acess the sim car. but yes it is for use in multiplle phones

Ok...Downloaded and tested several apps. All work on my phone. Sounds like you may have a bad sim. Go to AT&T and tell them you need a new one. It should be no charge for this, and take a matter of a few minutes.

[Q] Motorola backflip

I just got my motorola backflip. i bought it off ebay. it is unlocked. it has android 1.5.
after i put in my sim card(my service provider is simple mobile), i made a motoblur account. the phone starts well enough and i can make calls and sms people and use wifi etc. but im getting a couple of problems.
1) my service provider name is showing to be t-mobile but its actually simple mobile. it showed simple mobile in my previous phone. how do i solve this issue??
2) when i go to contacts and then do import from sim card it says "there are no contacts in sim card". but i copied all contacts from my previous phone onto the sim card. but when i import it, it says no contacts. how should i solve this?
p.s. : my previous phone was samsung comeback.
can someone please help me?? it is very urgent...thanks...

sim tools for wp7

Anyone on this forum know/have the sim tool kit for windows phone 7?
it only can copy existing sim contact to phone but in future cannot add contact to sim anymore..
thanks everyone
I belive as part of Tango you will be able to save contacts to your sim. Also my Lumia has "SIM applications" in 'settings' but there is nothing there, so I don;t know what to make of that.

[Q] Auto SMS app

Hey,
Is it possible to make a app that auto sends a SMS when a new sim-card is replaced in the phone?
If the person who got my phone (yes, its lost) inserted a sim-card in it, it would send a SMS to a specific number?

Things like Seekdroid have this (sort of) You can poll your device from the Web Page and it will tell you the phone number of the currently inserted sim card, last 10 calls made/received etc.

Thanks! Maybe I should try it on my next device

[Q] Phone to tablet?

Im wondering f there is a way to turn my HTC Thunderbolt into a tablet. What I really want to be able to do is be able t be able to remove any calling features and make it WiFi only. The reason for this is that I have this phone laying around and want to be able to give it to my year old to play on without the worry that he will get into the dialer and accidentally dial 911. I want to basically turn what I already have into a tablet for hin so I dont have to share mine. Any ideas?
You could disable network in settings and then use an app-locking app so you need a password to open the settings. You could call the phone company and have them shut off service to the device. You could use titanium backup to delete the phone and messaging apps.
Just some suggestions off the top of my head.

Kid's Place, it's an app that will lock the user to only the apps allotted. I use it when punishing my son for screwing with his phone instead of getting ready for school.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but why don't you remove the (micro) SIM card? Doesn't the phone let you take it out?

It's often possible to dial an emergency number even without a SIM card (depending on country/network).
These are all great suggestions pretty much none of which I would have thought of. The only foreseeable problem that I may have is the emergency dialer at the lockscreen. 911 is the only emergency number that you don't have to add and can never delete. Can I delete the dialer in its entirety through root? The SIM idea is great however there are 2 problems that arise with that. 1) The Thunderbolt does not require a SIM card, the SIM that's in it is just for LTE so you would be able to have it active without the sim just no 4G speeds. 2) SIM cards or antyhing else for that matter are not required to dial 911. No matter how long the phone has been deactivated or if the SIM has been remover, you can still dial 911.
You should be able to delete the dialer via titanium backup if you're rooted. You could also just disable the lock screen if that's where the 911 button is.
