Best browser for S7 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hi, I have just purchased S7 few days ago. I'm satisfied with the device and still getting used to it. Currently, I'm also using iPhone 6S.
I still haven't found the right browser for me. I really like Safari on my iPhone, that can sync all my password and bookmark to Safari on Mac and iPad. Reading list, reader mode, and adblock are also awesome. Is there any browser on Android that come close with this functionality?
Also, does Chrome and Firefox also sync your passwors to Desktop browser? And how do you open tab in background in Samsung Internet Browser?

Chrome would be your best bet but the stock sbrowser while based on chrome is by far the fastest and smoothest (doesn't sync with your desktop though).

I use Dolphin and have done for a long time. Sync bookmarks with for example your Google account , really easy to use bookmarks. Just swipe from left side of screen. I use it on both my Samsung and iPhone

I can't stand using Chrome on Mac, so I'm going to give other browser a chance first. Internet browser is good but no desktop sync is deal breaker.

Using Chrome as back-up and the stock S7 browser with AdGuard as ad on. The stock Android browser uses fingerprint scanner to access websites. Like that. I also have Keeper as my password saver and that app works fantastic.

I am using Dolphin cos it is the only app that have adblock and flash supoort still. It's slower than other browsers but I don't surf much on phone.

Its the smoothest, but the quick access limit and tab opening in the foreground are a bit annoying.

But they are annoying, another thing i noticed is if i open links through another app like twitter, it doesn't open new tabs for each link. It just opens the links in the same window, opera on the other hand opened a new tab for each link, again annoying.
Im sure these things could be easily fixed but good luck getting anyone at samsung to listen to you.

It's not the fastest. Puffin is the fastest browser out there. Do a test put the same phone side by side one with chrome and one with puffin. Puffin will beat it in Web page loading every single time. That being said, the stock browser is the smoothest when it comes to Web page scrolling

It would be a travesty to use a browser that loads a webpage a fraction of a second faster yet feels so laggy when scrolling, uninstalled it after 5 seconds.

Browser for ICS

I know lots of people prefer ICS+ but It just keep messing up my usage. Just somehow, I don't like the way how it worked on infuse. The side selection menu is all the point.
I would recommend Chrome beta or the system browser. They are both pretty good.
The system browser has the side selection which is very convenient, even it's only five fixed selections it's enough. I like the way how you can switch between tabs in the system browser easily.
On the other hand, I noticed a speed advantage in Chrome beta. The tab sync function is excellent if you use Chrome on your computer. Totally "Cloud". Also the magnifier function when you click on some close links save you some time double tap to zoom in.
The others are gingerbread era browser. Probably among those I would recommend Opera mobile.
Just some personal suggestion
Dolphin HD is stable and ez to use

I must agree. I was using ICS browser plus... but after using Chrome beta.. I must say.. it is probably the best browser I have used.. It's great how it links to your home computer's tabs if you're using Chrome at home too.

Bookmark syncing is a welcome addition as well. Chrome ftw
I used to dislike chrome for android... but it now works very well. I vote chrome, it makes the browsing super snappy compared to the stock one which takes forever to load xda and such.

Same. It's a lot faster than the default browser and it is still in Beta and only available for ics roms. One of the things I like about it is that it syncs all of my bookmarks from my pc, which is a really cool feature. My vote is for Chrome as well.

dolphin hd for me. but i'm excited to see firefox come into the picture for ICS. hopefully they will get their act together for the mobile market. their original mobile firefox was terrible.
i have used the stock browser, ICS+ Browser, Chrome Beta, Dolphin Pad, Opera Next, Opera Mobile, Firefox beta, and Boat.
so far, the one with the best balance between stabliity and speed is Dolphin. Though the .29 update made chrome more usable.
I have found dolphinhd and opera to be the smoothest I have used.
Opera mobile for me. As much as I want to like the Chrome beta (and it is, really, really good) I feel that Opera is still the best browser for touchscreen devices. It still has some issues with a few sites, but it's been getting steadily better and has received a steady stream of updates.
Opera mini (not mobile) is the fastest smoothest browser. It has page transitions and seems to take a static approach, as though it takes a snapshot of the page before displaying it. The scrolling and animations are always fluid. The graphics do appear compressed. This browser definitely has its place for me.
I also use the stock browser when I need a more full featured browser, which is the best in that category due to the quick controls and bookmarks.
I have tried the chrome browser on differnent tablets and its quite slow, not ready for prime time in my opinion. Its excellent on the galaxy nexus phone, though.
Firefox is no good, dolphin is fine but has no advantage over stock in my opinion.

Has anyone used Flash much? The only browser I seem to get Flash working on OK is Opera Mobile. Firefox and Chrome don't seem to want to run flash at all.
Overskreen is interesting as it performs as an independent resizable Window on top of every app which means true multitasking...? Multiple Windows are possible as well.

Chrome for Android has never had flash support:
What version of Flash is supported on Chrome for Android?
Chrome for Android will not be supporting Flash. As you may have seen in November, 2011, Adobe announced it has stopped investing in Flash for mobile browsing. Google has long been committed to making the web platform more powerful through open web technologies like HTML5 and is working with Adobe and other partners to further advance the web standard.

I never thought about that. Guess I always assumed that it was a stripped down version of Chrome in android. I know Firefox won't run on all androids, or at least satisfactorily, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Wrong section.
Google should focus on making Chrome itself less crappy, not using hacks like this to speed up the Chrome experience. I wouldn't use anything but the AOSP Browser (the CM-maintained version), Firefox, or Dolphin at this point.

In greece data plans tend to be rather expensive ... and i think that the same applies to numerous other countries ... i believe u should count yourself lucky in that matter
I used chrome on my gt i9500 although i'm from greece i opted for that because i thought it may have more potential since it's a new technology and snapdragon 600 reached pretty much it's limits ... didn't count overheating in that equation unfortunately but you never know what the mighty xda developers may come up with and i also like touchwiz so i'm not that disappointed ... anyways chrome seems that gets unreasonably bloated at times ... like around 650mb of ram with just xda forums tab ... except the fact that i tried most if not all of your suggestions and thank u for the contribution to the topic i reached to the conclusion that chrome uses the most memory than anyone else but is also one of the most fluid ... also dolphin and dolphin beta use a bit less memory and are just as fluid with beta version a bit faster than the non beta and just as fast as chrome ... boat is ok would say a bit inferior to those mentioned above ... ucbrowser and maxthon doesn't seem to be as good at least in my device ... i used opera a lot in the past but i didn't try it because not full screen mode and that adress bar which doesn't dissappear started to getting on my nerves and firefox left to try
i opened the exact same pages to all of those browsers i tried and also seem pretty much all of them have some kind of problem with xda forums ... seem to get stuck at some point
Conclusion ... so far dolphin beta and chrome seem to the best ...
Boat - many options and good/clear UI ...
Try Boa t Browser
