dolphin hd for me. but i'm excited to see firefox come into the picture for ICS. hopefully they will get their act together for the mobile market. their original mobile firefox was terrible.

i have used the stock browser, ICS+ Browser, Chrome Beta, Dolphin Pad, Opera Next, Opera Mobile, Firefox beta, and Boat.
so far, the one with the best balance between stabliity and speed is Dolphin. Though the .29 update made chrome more usable.

I have found dolphinhd and opera to be the smoothest I have used.

Opera mobile for me. As much as I want to like the Chrome beta (and it is, really, really good) I feel that Opera is still the best browser for touchscreen devices. It still has some issues with a few sites, but it's been getting steadily better and has received a steady stream of updates.

Opera mini (not mobile) is the fastest smoothest browser. It has page transitions and seems to take a static approach, as though it takes a snapshot of the page before displaying it. The scrolling and animations are always fluid. The graphics do appear compressed. This browser definitely has its place for me.
I also use the stock browser when I need a more full featured browser, which is the best in that category due to the quick controls and bookmarks.
I have tried the chrome browser on differnent tablets and its quite slow, not ready for prime time in my opinion. Its excellent on the galaxy nexus phone, though.
Firefox is no good, dolphin is fine but has no advantage over stock in my opinion.

The .29 made Chrome more stable?
Has anyone used Flash much? The only browser I seem to get Flash working on OK is Opera Mobile. Firefox and Chrome don't seem to want to run flash at all.

Overskreen is interesting as it performs as an independent resizable Window on top of every app which means true multitasking...? Multiple Windows are possible as well.

Overskreen is good but i dislike the UI and it has a slow startup and it just seems slower. Can be useful though

Anyone tried the ign full website? Makes browser slow when other tabs are open. Is it because of heavy usage of flash?

Flash works in chrome and dolphin, but when you go to fullscreen it doesn't work well, or at all some cases. Chrome doesn't crash or freeze nearly as much since .29 ( for me at least)

How? I can't use chrome at all. It Fc's as soon as I search or go to a website
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

How does ics browser plus work? Does the developer have access to your history and passwords or does it work like a sort of add on for stock browser and so the data is stored on the stock browser and not on the developers app? (If i haven't been clear, please tell me).
Thanks greatly.

I'm on version .17 and I can't get flash to work on Chrome. It says loading plugin, but stays like that. I seem to be OK going full screen on Opera on one movie host I use but I don't know about others.

Google Chrome for me! Love the browser sync between PC,Phone and Tab!

Chrome for Android has never had flash support:
What version of Flash is supported on Chrome for Android?
Chrome for Android will not be supporting Flash. As you may have seen in November, 2011, Adobe announced it has stopped investing in Flash for mobile browsing. Google has long been committed to making the web platform more powerful through open web technologies like HTML5 and is working with Adobe and other partners to further advance the web standard.

I like browsers that have add ons that block advertisements.

Working Browser

I have reached the limit of my patience with Chrome on the Infinity, when it works, it is slow. It often crashes and I get frequent ANRs. Is there a browser that is 1) not slow and 2) stable?
Boat and Dolphin HD have been recommended numerous times on the forum and I concur they both work a treat and support Flash.
+1 for Boat - it's faster, more stable and supports Flash. I've been *very* impressed with it....

I'm a Dolphin fan
I use ICS Browser + and I am very happy with it. The problem is that it does not work with JB.
If you guys haven't tried Boat yet - give it a try - you'll never go back! It really is that much better than any other browser I've tried (and I've tried them all)!

Wow... that was awful.
I am reporting myself for this post.
But, I will try boat.
PS... the stock browser on tft700 is a skinned chrome, no?

No, stock is the Android browser that was around before chrome.
I'd say either Dolphin or stock. Stock was horrible at first, but after the .26 update its actually not that bad at all.
I tried Chrome for over a week, but I just switched to Boat after reading this thread, so far seems to be a lot faster.
Dolphin! Tried Boat. Not for me. DOLPHIN has a beta out that they tout being faster. And it is!
I don't mind stock at all. Dolphin and Boat has privacy issues. I recommend ICS Browser+
Privacy issues have been rectified along time ago on dolphin. Just Google it.
There was some discussion from Gary Key awhile back (forget where but in TF201 section) that one of the early suspected problems with the Prime was individuals installing multiple browsers. I don't know if that ever panned out but if you find your performance degrading and have several that you tried out still hanging around, uninstalling the lightly used ones and reinstalling flash might help with performance issues while browsing.
Sync bookmarks
I'd like to move from Chrome as it's so slow but there is a key function that I would like to keep : sync my Chrome bookmarks (shared with my personal PC, my job computer and my iPhone). I don't remember that Boat or Dolphin have that.
I recommend boat as well. Switched from chrome.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
I am not sure I trust anything that guy says.
Also, I didn't install any browser before I started having problems.
Chrome on the Infinitiy, for me, is just flat broke. It also had problems on the Prime.
I think the problem is really Asus and not the browser.
I will try boat. I have tried dolphin on the prime, and it was no better than chrome either.
Anyone tried the new Firefox Update 15?
It's lagging and freezing for me all the time -.-

Flash player

I don't understand why this is being disabled by browsers, chrome won't let you use it, dolphin browser disabled the feature and it also says to refer to iPhone 5 that its no longer supporting it on android devices..
I installed adobe from the website not the store.. works fine on stock browser after enabling always on..
Are they removing flash player all together? What the heck will we use? Pleanty of sites require flash player..

It's more the fact that most browsers never supported flash on android. Chrome didn't. Dolphin used some server side processing to allow support for flash websites but that wasn't true flash.
You've just gotta use the stock browser (or ics browser if not on jb) if you need Flash. It is still also possible to have flash player on jb, despite a lot of people complaining it isn't possible.

Well thinking of current standards, there are different implementations of things, css html asp and the browsers support them all. So in reality the browsers will probably support all different variations (if it does go that way), as long as they at least vaguely follow the original standards.
Correct me if I'm wrong I'm no developer. (one day hopefully)

Dolphin still works fine for me and it does not use server conversion. I have the TF 300 with stock JB OS.

Flash is being phased out in mobile devices since its memory and cpu intensive and generally has poor performance on mobile compared to a desktop. Apple began the transition with others following. Hopefully the transition will be over by 2014.

Surfing slow on Jelly Bean

Ever since i upgraded to JB, surfing on the web has been SUPER slow. Im talking about the browser freezing every 5 seconds or so. I have tried several browsers, the default and chrome but didnt really make any dofference. Really regret that i updated to JB, espesially now that iv heard you cannot go back which is STUPID
Tried cold boot?

for me:
- default browser: it's even better than Chrome
- Chrome: the second worst
- Dolphin: fast but if you scroll the page while loading it will crash/become unresponsive and freeze the tablet for about 5 - 10 seconds
- Firefox: the worst
- Opera Mobile: the way it shows the webpage does not look good, and i don't even know how does it actually render/load/show the page, ex: you go to amazon.com and search for something, it won't show suggestions while other browsers do (just like in desktop). But while loading i can still scroll, also i can block ads and that's useful,

As I said I'm using opera mobile and it's pretty good.
But now I just figured out another feature it has called "text wrap" very useful.
Does any other good browser have this feature too.

Does anyone here use Firefox?

It's great on my SG3 and I love the features on it (sync to desktop, the best address bar, add-ons...) but it is slow as hell, laggy and horrible at scrolling.
I started using the stock browser and it's WAY better in terms of performance. Think I might have to give up the features and stick with this instead.
Anyways...I'm just wondering if anyone here uses it on their TF700 and if they have the same experiences I do?
I use Firefox every day. It is much slower than the default browser but I find once it is up and running it's not so bad. I use the default when multitasking or just want to look something up quick and Firefox when I'll be online for a while.

+1, very good browser, I'm impressed. As fast or slightly faster than stock browser, I would say this is the first browser that can compete with stock browser. The only thing it lacked behind stock is bookmark/history sync. Took forever to sync. The way the interface I think that dev build this browser based on stock android browser.
I just wiped my tablet and installed the latest cm10.1 nightly. Finally the tablet is usable, but Firefox still gives me an headache. It is still too laggy and slow to use. Is there any chance to sync any other android browser with the standalone weave/Firefox sync server?

Best browser (May 2013)

I just can't stick with one. I'm so frustrated with the options.
Firefox would be my number 1 choice but it's so incredibly slow I just can't take it.
Chrome is okay, but no flash.
Stock is very fast but lacks in features.
Is there some hidden gem out there? Something with the speed of stock and features of Firefox?

Time to give it another go...and looks like we have a winner! Wish it had the add-ons Firefox has (love auto-pager) but I can live without it. This probably is the best browser I've tried so far.
I can even import my bookmarks from my desktop! Can't find a Android browser that can do that (without using some sort of syncing).
Very happy with Boat so far.

I just can't use a browser without a ad-blocker, AdAway does the trick for that for rooted users and seems to work well on Boat.

If you're okay with paying a couple bucks for a wonderful browser experience, xScope Browser is one of the best I've ever used. lots of great gestures including Pin-Zoom (akin to the new google maps where you can control the zoom level with one finger).
Otherwise, Sleipnir (no tablet version yet) is currently in the running with UC Browser for the top spot in my books, it's rough around the edges, but highly customizable.

The only problem is lack of adblock plugin like in Firefox.
That's why I keep both of those and use them depending on how many adds are on pages.
