Hi.
Since Samsung still hasn't decided to make a good follow up to this device, I plan on sticking with it for the next few years since it has everything I want (big screen and good screen, LTE, Wacom, SMS, Phonecalls).
I was wondering, what spare parts should I buy? I'll probably buy another pen but I don't plan on breaking the screen.
Should I buy a spare button/flex cable for the home button? Are there other parts I should buy?
supplies
Well, I thought of that too. I ordered extra cases and screen protectors, some extra s-pens, an external 16000ma portable battery (size of a large cigratte pack) , 2 extra AC adapters (one for offoce on for the car), maxed out the internal sd to 128gb (sandisk). Down the road I plan on getting a spare internal battery (that requires disassembly)
On the software side, baked up all apk files. tagged the ones that work perfectly just in case the respective publisher decides to put out an upgrade that trashes what worked (happens all the time). Also, in case the publisher goes for the annual membership cash flow model (with hands in your wallet forever...not). Also, all updates are disabled. I choose what goes and what doesn't. I am still on 4.4.2 - BECAUSE IT WORKS. I have no issues. External keyboards all work. I get 10-12 hours of pure use - and I mean lots ans lots (screen is in lower 1/4 setting on brightness, location off, air off, nfc off).
Also, there are some apps I use that died during the 5.0 transition - so who needs an update that does nothing but damage.
I run the P900 by the way. 64gb internal/128 external
I carry it EVERY DAY - for business and personal use. I carry several thousand pdfs (manuals and resources) documents, financial data, etc. I have had it since June, 2014. I came from a Nook32+. It was like waking up from a long dark nightmare. To my mind it is not a laptop or desktop replacement, but an enhancement to my workflow. My Lenovo w520 still plugs away running windows legacy applications. My Note 3 handles the in-between. But the Note pro12.2 is top of the heap - always there - always on. Oh, I also use a Boost Mobile wifi hotspot, with the 10gb/month plan in instances where wifi is not awailable or I need a secure connection.
I am happy.
Meh . . for me the only thing I'd consider buying as a spare item would be a battery, but I figure I stand a chance of having that battery go bad in storage before the internal one gives up the ghost so why bother.
I'd lament the loss of my Note Pro if it died today but I don't know if I'd necessarily plan for it just yet. All depends on your use case I guess.
I'd buy an extra flex cable for the USB connection. They can go bad if bent, bumped, or just over time and they are pretty easy to replace. One thing to consider is just buying an extra tablet. That's the route I went. Picked up a refurbished P900 for $280 bucks on ebay. If mine breaks I will transfer everything using s-synch and the have the broken one as a backup for spare parts.

Hello everyone,
I looked around all of the internal forums and general appeared to be the best.
In short I am looking for a good dual sim phone that doesn't need a soft reboot to switch between sims. I have to be able to get calls on both, essentially looking like call waiting is working.
Here are must haves:
Unlimited ring tone assignment (the dual I have now limits me to 10 ringtones). I have a ton of referral sources calling as well as personal calls and I need to know who I can ignore by sound and who I have to answer.
External memory SD or Micro (for the ringtones) unless it has a large enough internal
Dual sim of course...
AT&T service currently, and would prefer to stay but not married to them. Lesser of 5 evils basically (1900MHZ)
My preferences:
I've had my fun playing with all of the stuff from here for windows mobile, but I just can't take the slow speed anymore. I am open to a smartphone or non smartphone, but if it is a smartphone I need it to react nearly instantly.
I would prefer a flip phone, mainly because I'm getting frustrated with applying new screen covers to protect my screen so often. So I guess I should say, if it's a touch screen non flip then I'd like to be able to buy 50 precut screen covers out the gate (not really concerned about price). (currently have a Fuze and I'm sick of the snail speed and still can't find the precut screen covers - although I have determined how to increase speed, and will do so once I get my new phone... drive 80 MPH and throw it out the window!)
I really think that about covers it. When I do a Google search for a dual sim I just end up at one of a hundred Chinese wholesale sites, and most of their phones have their own OS with tons of limitations.
Thanks ahead of time! (btw price isn't a big issue, although less cost is always better)
So in browsing through old posts here I found Expansys and in looking at them I found this...Samsung B5702 ... it may very well be what I want. The price seems pretty over the top for a non smart phone, but I'm guessing it's cheaper elsewhere... Does anyone happen to have this phone who could give me their take on it? Thank you,
So I bought the LG Ks660 from Amazon... could have paid about $30 less through another lesser known, but I figured it's worth the $30 to know I'd get it and it would be easy to return if it blows.
I paid $260 for it, which is about $160 more than your typical dual sim/dual standby Chinese cells but I hope it has what I need. The one dual I have from China limits the ringtones, which to me is a must these days on phones.
I'll post the results of my first few days of testing in case anyone else has two cell lines but is sick of carrying the two phones. Due to arrive tomorrow... I had to choose impatient shipping...
Just wanted to know who plans on not purchasing the dock(since that was the main selling point.) How do you think you will do without a usb port?
For me personally if it wasnt for the dock (full keyboard, extra battery and full size usb ports) id have just gotten the Tab 10.1 in june instead. Although its too bad they're using tegra 2 and not their own chips for the tab but oh well.
I'm not planning on it as of right now. Once I have it in my hands and start messing with it, I can reassess the need for it from there.
personally i would like the dock however it all depends upon the price of it here in the UK !!
I do not plan on it...anything i need that would normally be synced through a USB can be put on the device with bluetooth or pulled off my wireless network. I honestly dont think I will mind not having one (besides needing to charge on that darned proprietary cable!)
Once there is any temp. price drop that makes keyboard dock for $90 or so I can get ..other wise....big NO
I don't think I'm getting the dock either. Firstly the price is too high, if it was less than $100 i would have considered it, i have 3 laptops already so I dont need it to do any work or typing. I actually may even get rid of the transformer depending on how the samsung is reviewed since its lighter and thinner. If i end up keeping it for the long term I may get the dock later but only if it comes down in price.
One of the main reasons that I'm getting the Transformer over any of the other Android tablets is the keyboard dock (which isn't sold in the US yet!).
So I definitely plan on getting on when they start being sold here.

Supposedly there is an adaptor accessory that will provide a USB port.
Regards,

I most definitely WON'T buy the keyboard dock.
I simply don't need it - my house is already littered with computers (2 laptops, 2 desktops, 1 server).
I needed a lightweight, always-on, touch device, not another notebook
I don't plan on buying the dock anytime soon as mostly I will be using it to read books, browsing the internet and few other things which would not require dock. Moreover, the price of the dock is (errrmmm keyboard ) is just too much for me to come to terms with it. So, unless it drops down to like $79 bucks, it won't happen in next year or so.
One of my main uses for the Transformer is writing, and conducting the research for writing. I wanted a device that will last for a long, long time on a charge so that I can be ready to write in any situation. Also, I got tired of setting up my HP Envy notebook on the tray and hassling with the power cable every time I wanted to do some writing late at night in bed.
So, the dock is the entire point of buying the TF for me. A physical keyboard is necessary for long-form writing, of course. The extra battery means it'll last a full day of writing, so it'll always be available. And because there's also no heat and thus no fans, I don't have to mess with power cables and lap trays when I want to write at night. Just plop it right on top of the covers, no problem.
The dock will also serve as a cover (I imagine I'll pretty much carry it around with the dock most of the time, but I did buy a sleeve just in case) and a prop. Overall, I think the price is good enough for a 24.4Whr battery and portable charging station, with a hardwired keyboard (avoiding Bluetooth connectivity issues) and trackpad.
I know the thread was about people NOT buying it, but I thought I'd interject. Just 'cause I like talking about it, and need something to do until it arrives later today.
I will buy it, since I don't have a personal laptop (do have a work laptop, that's it) and only a high end desktop.
The long lasting battery and dual option (tablet and netbook) do it perfectly for me. Also, my 30" desktop monitor is IPS panel, so I won't go anything below that in picture quality.
Currently I have no interest. Not because I think it's a dumb idea, I just don't need it for a tablet, that's not how I'm using mine. I do appreciate the idea, though. If it cost less, I'd probably bite just to have the option handy, but $150 is too much for something I'd rarely use. I find that the on-screen keyboard is very good for the amount of typing I do on the Transformer (I do find myself hitting the keyboard minimize button by accident too much, I wish it wasn't underneath the shift key).
The dock should turn it into a Windows laptop, have the cpu etc in the dock.
I'd pay for that, but see no reason for a Honeycomb tablet dock unless it was $60 or so.
I'm not much interested in the keyboard dock. I've got a laptop with a 9 hr battery and bigger screen that weighs three pounds, I'd use that. I might be interested in the desktop dock thing that just charges it and holds it though, if the price was right and they ever became available.
If the dock without a keyboard has battery inside I might not buy the keyboard dock and go for the keyboardless dock.
i'm also torn between getting the dock or not. i do like the idea of extended battery and the ability to type with a physical keyboard. but then i already have my laptop for that. another thing is the price - $150 is kind of high. but then i already preordered it from amazon. lol. if anything it'll be a pure impulse buy or i end up forgetting that i preordered and then it ships. haha
Never intend of getting the keyboard in the first place, if I need a keyboard I will use my notebook.
We have two Infuses in the family for all of two months now. While we still have two Iphone4s on the other two lines, we have had Iphones in the family since day 1 eons ago. I have spent considerable time looking to make the Infuse, not perfect, but 'comparable' to the way I've had my JB'd Iphones. I've made quite a bit of progress and I think this is where it ends, at least until GB which may change some things. I'm on Infused 1.6. Here are the remaining 'lacks'.
- Are they any lock screen widgets for the Android? I missed being able to control the music playbook without needing to unlock. I've on more than a few occasions fumbled to mute the music while trying to unlock and get to the app.
- Unlock screen should stay on longer than 1.5 secs. If you don't hit it right away, you'll have to press the power button again.
- Why ask for the unlock p/w again when I just locked it 2 secs ago? The Iphone is smart enough to have a internal timer set so it'll take you right in. I seem to be spending an awful lot of time unlocking my Infuse.
- Where are the Infuse docks? I have a bunch of ipod/iphone speaker/clock/charging docks around the house which I know I can't use but am I relegated to a life of using the phone jack and carrying the a/c charger ? There is the Samsung dock but it's just a pricey charging dock that costs as much as my last Logitech radio/clock/speaker/charger ipod dock.
- This one is more of a complaint; I spent almost $60 on apps alone just to get some decent working apps. With the iphones, there are better quality free apps that gets the job done. The equivalent Android apps just don't work as good as the iphone version, like CNBC stocks, IP Cam amongst others.
- Unbelievable but true, I got more work done with the iphone remote desktop app using the tiny screen compared to Pocketcloud on a much larger Infuse screen. I guess it's just the interface.
- And yes, when ATT was having issues with the cell tower in my area, the Iphones were still working better than the Infuses which couldn't even get any reception or data strengths. And the Iphone wifi strength is better.
- And seriously, I really want a physical home button. Feeling for the un-lit home virtual button is no fun.
- No complaints about the batt life for me, I'm doing ok with lowering the brightness and using Juice Defender.
- lack of a 'reasonably' priced app for syncing calendar, contacts and notes. The good one is priced at $50. I'm currently not even syncing anymore other than the occassional use of myphoneexplorer. Then I have to use Epistle with dropbox to sync my text files for notes. Tacky.
- While it's great to not use itunes, I have to remember to run Titanium backup occasionally.
But I really appreciate:
- the outstanding sound quality
- the really big sharp screen, great for reading and viewing movies
- great camera quality, in daytime
- not having to rely on itunes, copy direct, no format or screen conversion needed
- direct usb connection
- nice to have external sd but so far my current 32gb (16 + 16) matches my 32gb Iphones. The 32gb and 64gb sd cards are priced higher than the cost of the phone.
- tethering is one thing that costs less than with the iphone because it's included in Infused!! And it works great.
- Fantastic size, super slim
NE1 with any thoughts to how to address some of these points and make the Infuse even better for us?
Thanks
Why not try flashing 2.1.0 of infused? And also get go to 4shared.com and search the app name and put. Apk after it. You said apps aren't that great of quality so just download um from there without paying.

If you do this do us all a favor and not blame the ROM when you catch DroidDream. Seriously - pay for your apps!! Take some time to read reviews then make an educated decision before you whip your wallet out.
Good comparison! I have used an iPhone in the past but will never go back (FU iTunes). It probably makes life easier that I don't have to coexist with any iOS apps at home, so things like google calendar/docs can be my central location for things I need to share between devices, plus I have an always-on htpc that acts as a file/http server for whatever I need.
Docks will always be a point in iOS's favor though, because even with the rising popularity of android as a platform, the dozens of different physical form factors make it harder for third-party manufacturers to create hardware, whereas Apple releases a new shape of phone every year (or more), and even then they're close enough that a lot of iPhone peripherals can operate between the 3G/3GS/4. Just try to make hardware that can accept a Galaxy S, Infuse, Inspire, Atrix, Droid 3, Xperia, etc.
The Infused music player/lockscreen was mentioned but there are many other apps that will add widgets of any kind to your lock screen (widgetlocker is very popular, though I haven't bothered).
The Infuse does give you a few seconds' grace period if the screen turns off automatically before it locks, but I don't really know why you'd not want it to lock immediately if you push the power button. Maybe this is just different phone usage models between us, but aside from accidental pushes (stupid protruding buttons), I can't ever remember a time I've turned the phone off then wanted to unlock it within a few seconds.
I do agree that the lock screen should stay on longer after a push--maybe four or five seconds--but it isn't that big a deal really. It probably saves battery life though: since the stupid power/volume buttons stick out so much, they probably get pushed in my pocket all the time.
I hear a lot of bad things about Infused wifi, but even though I have only 2/3 bars about 20 feet away from my router, I keep one bar throughout my entire house--even up a floor and horizontally 30 yards away from the router. So I guess ymmv depending on how strong a signal you really need.
Not sure what you mean about SD cards--you can get a 32GB microSD card for under $50, and there are no 64GB microSD cards that I've heard of. SDXC is relatively new and allows full-size 64-128GB SD cards but they're still expensive (prohibitively so, if you ask me). If you're just comparing with-contract cost, a 32GB iPhone costs $300, while an infuse is ~$120-$200 depending where you buy it, plus another $20 for a 16GB microSD card to match the total capacity, meaning if you buy cheaply, you can spend less than half as much on an equal-capacity Infuse.
The bottom line for me is really the screen. I pick up someone else's Inspire or iPhone and the screen just kills me. I don't think I can ever go back to an LCD after using Samsung's AMOLED screens. #firstworldproblems
Lockscreen behaviors - Other ROMs have significantly more configuration in terms of lockscreen timeouts available.
Apps - the only non-niche apps I've found a significant urge to buy (and have bought) were TiBu and Tapatalk.
I purchased SetCPU, although probably would not have done so if I'd done a bit more research.
I also purchased Sixaxis Controller to allow pairing of PS3 controllers to my Tab 10.1, and once LB and I fix Cyanogenmod's Bluetooth, my Infuse too.
Nothing like TiBu exists for iOS. Same for SetCPU.
You can't pair PS3 controllers to iOS devices for gaming.
There are media and car docks available for the Infuse, I have the car dock for mine and it's excellent.
Physical home button - blame Apple for focusing on litigating instead of innovating for this one.
$50 for calendar/contacts sync??????? Um, you got MASSIVELY ripped off. The phone has excellent built-in sync capabilities. I sync contacts, calendars, and emails to my Google account 100% free.
Thanks! I forgot I did try widgetlocker back a few months ago. I recall now I wanted to keep my pattern lock and on the shortcuts, it would jump to the app like Mortplayer and then it will stall before it will bring me back to the lock screen. But it'll serve the purpose for now.
The sync solution we have are naturally tied to Google. But I've been syncing to Outlook forever and I want to keep that. Companionlink costs $50.
When I got my 16gb card, it was on sale for $25 but the 32gb card was more than $50. I've got to keep an eye out for a good deal and pass my 16gb card on to the other Infuse.
BTW, one more thing I sorely miss is the news alerts I used to get very frequently. The only setup I have and know of on the android is the CNN app which then just puts a 1 second blip on the status bar. Anyone know of a setup where it will do a pop-up alert?

Hey All,
So I have had a pretty bad run of tablets here in the Salt Lake Valley. Not sure If its because of the way they are transported through the valley or maybe my Best Buy(s) have gotten bad shipments. Here is my track record thus far:
Purchase 1: Soft Spot under Left Speaker, Caused bad creaking whenever you gripped the left side of the tab.
Exchange 2: Perfect Case (I was so excited), But... had Bad speakers (Made crackling/popping noises when sounds were played after about 5 seconds of sleep)
Exchange 3: Back Panel of the entire tab was loose.. I could physically wiggle the back plate Very freaky.
Exchange 4 (My Current device): Speakers are great, but the bottom of the tablet (mostly the left side and the area around the Charging port) "Snaps" or clicks... Like maybe the case wasn't secured there.
So I am going to ask you all this, Should I try one more exchange, or should I just settle for this small defect and hope it doesn't become something of a larger problem. It DID take an unusually long time to charge to full power (Almost 12 hours from 22% to 100%), However, I have read that due to the huge battery in these things than compared to the GalaxyTab 10.1 could be the primary cause of that.
Anyhow, your input is greatly appreciated. The Clicking on the bottom anytime I pick this thing up gnaws at me... I hate to think I paid 500 Bucks for a ton of defects... My other main worry is if the case is loose or something that I will end up with Dust under my screen.
Thanks so much everyone!
Miles
You might consider purchasing from a different place. Amazon has a good return policy and pay shipping on returns if it's defective.
I've been surprised at the lack of complaints so far, so I think in general the qc is pretty decent.
Charging should not take that long. I plugged mine in last night around 10 and it was charged at 6am. That was from 7% with the stock charger. Use the task manager to close apps and don't use it while you charge it. If you use it while you charge it will take a long time.

It sounds like you went beyond your means to buy something you can't afford and are looking for reasons to return it.
I'm not looking to return... I really love this device and just feel for 500 bucks it should be as close to perfect as it can be. I'm just wondering if exchanging it again is worth it, or if I should just live with the small defect. I really do love Samsung and its Devices, as I am upgrading from a Galaxy Tab 10.1. However, for the few I have tried so far, the defects have been pretty large... So to keep an item with a faulty speaker or a a Bad case seems slight silly to me for 500 dollars.
Try again. but dont be so determined on finding a defect. the mind will easily manifest one if your mind set on that there will be a defect.
I'd say get a refund because you're spending much more time looking for faults than you're actually using it.
Thanks so far everyone. I think you're probably all right and letting these little faults get into my mind is probably the worst part. Seeing as this is the only "Computer" I have I suppose I do look awfully hard for perfection, mostly out of worry. I travel a lot and have chosen the tablet as my primary means of communication and such over a laptop. While Work provides me a laptop for work... They often time swap it out or give me hassles over its use for personal means. And since I travel so much I don't see much point in carrying two laptops or having a Desktop at home I can't take with me... Plus I have a 2 year old with another on the way.. so Being portable is extremely important to me as well. I spend most my time at home with my Son and thus being able to whip out my Tablet somewhere and check my emails and such from a small messenger bag is perfect.
Thank you again everyone for your input and perhaps I will just keep this one and let the little click go. It doesn't seem to be an issue as far as I can tell, just a minor annoyance.
OT but I just have to laugh at you younger folk thinking $500 is a lot to pay for technology of this level.
My first cell phone cost $1200 on contract. My first Pentium laptop was $3500. The first Razor flip phone (that wasn't even a smart phone) was $500 on contract.
Don't get thrown off by comparing the $200 7 inch models to this. I have a 7 inch tablet. It is a big phone basically. I found myself surfing the web on my E4GT as often as I did on my tablet. Now that I've bought the SGN10.1, I haven't picked up my phone once to surf the web (except when I was away from home).
The 10.1 inch real estate with the s-pen makes this tablet a workhorse at only $500.
** Sorry you are having such bad luck dude. My first SGN10.1 had light bleed on the bottom left hand corner so I feel your pain. My second one was perfect though so I guess I got lucky.

Return it to Best Buy and buy from Amazon.
Be aware Best Buy has a policy that when you reach a magic number of returns (and they won't tell what that number is) they will refuse to let you get a refund or return even if the item is defective and when you get a price match it counts as a return.
I rarely buy from them. OTOH Amazon has full rights to my credit card.
I have the Nexus 4, an awesome beast at an affordable price. Some limits of Nexus devices almost convinced me not two buy one, but I solved these with these necessary accessories and device types. I list general categories, you research find best for your needs and wants.
No FM tuner: I found Bluetooth receivers, small, in which you plug in ear buds, standard jack; several have FM radio.
Can't remove battery. Former phones I carried two charged batteries as backups which few folk do. Now it carry a portable solar power charger.
No expandable space, no SD card. I carry a1 TB external hard drive which creates own WiFi network; it fits in my shirt pocket.
No need to give brands, now you know the devices, you can find several by a search with Ixquick or SSL Google..
Earlier I had phones with FM radio real tuners, not streaming apps. Some radio stations dont stream., plus FM tuners dont use your data plan just use battery. At first I used a mini radio but when I discoveed the Bluetooth with FM tuner I had two functions into one device.
The solar power charger I have so small I plan to buy another. You can charge in the sun and with computer USB. After full charge either way when home I leave it in window light. It's always fully charged when I leave the house. The charger has wrist strap; I hang the charger out on my pack to keep it fully charged.
The WiFi enabled 1 TB I use to stream music, video, and movies to my Nexus 4 and 7 (second generation, WiFi); it can stream to 4 devices same .
time. Google wants Nexus owners to upload their own music to Google servers then stream to Nexus device. I dont like that. I moved the Windows document folder to the D drive. I have my whole D drive on my external wifi drive. At home it is one of two al synchronized with D drive. When I travel I take one; always have out of house backup. I can access fall my files, text, audio, and visual.
The small purse size rubber bags women use for their private travel necessities I use one all charging accessories. I use the Nexus 7 cable and ac for both 4 and 7, and for solar charger.Bluetooth and external hard drive have own cables. Now my awesome 4 awesomer.
General principle: think what you need and want when you go out in home city and in travels. Carry backup Battery or charger. That's minimum.
With the undivine intervention of some folk here, their instructions, and software I have a rooted Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. Nexus 4 specs say 17 hours talk time, I get 18plus.
The removal of FM radio from smartphones it's one of the major faults of Google and reveals that they don't give a s*it about what happens outside the big markets.
My 3rd world country, obsolete and with a 9th world infrastructure can't handle streaming radio. I have 200MB/month of good internet (1Mbps). After a reach that, I have worse internet than dialup speed.
I don't know a single user of streaming radio apps here and I doubt that anyone would spend their precious data with radio.
After removing the FM radio hardware, not only Google pissed of thousands of users that loved to listen the radio but also the radio stations, that lost all these thousands of listeners.
Thanks for the tips. Will look for some bluetooth receivers

Sony Ericsson Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset with FM Radio and the NoiseHush NS560-11977 Clip-on Bluetooth Stereo Headset without FM radio. They are small enough so I have the second as backup. Both good for music from devices; I use the NoiseHush when I listen to music from device or Seagate drive. Both easy for phone calls. Hang up and music continues. Often wear Bluetooth, sit on front porch listen to music, my device inside the house.
The Sony Ericsson can connect to two Bluetooth enabled devices so you and friend can listen to the same music.. I prefer the Bluetooth you plug in standard ear bud. If you check Amazon and like stores you will find a fairly wide choice of devices. I'd rather folk research for own purchases. You know your price range, how you use it, where and when. I am a bicycle tourist, so size and weight important. A gram or two may seem unimportant, but when you're carrying cooking and camping gear, plus digital and other items needed such as tools it's important. I carry a max of 18 kilos in addition to my weight.
I remember when I carried a laptop, sometimes total of gear in panniers and handlebar bag 22 kilos, sometimes more. Pedal a hundred miles in a day with 22 k. Now my Nexus 4 and 7 have replaced my laptop for travel.
May as well detail what I use. I recommend them only for myself. You research and if possible see the item in a store even though you plan to buy them online. I carry the Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB with my whole D drive on it; it has all my documents, audio and visual files. The drive produces own wifi, with encryption. There are other brands, but price always an issue with me.
There is a wide choice of chargers. I have Opteka BP-SC6000 Ultra High Capacity (6000mAh) Backup Battery Solar Charger with Faster Charging EcoPanel (2013 Model) I got last years model because 1, I dont feel need to get latest if an older model works, 2, older models have more users to tell how well it works.
I had planned to keep my Nexus to a few years short of forever, but decided to get Nexus 5 end of year because it has LTE. I will keep the 4 as backup.
Camping teaches redundancy, backup. I carry an older dumbphone in case something happens to primary. I carry two Bluetooth, only one with FM (FM for fun not necessity; I carry them in plastic pill bottles to protect them along with cable), I will carry two chargers soon, ordered second today, and the Seagate drive. I carry all charging gear in one of the rubber bags women use for some of privy items. It helps I rooted Nexus 4 and 7 get couple hours more by use of Elixir2 widget toggles to toggle the CPU governors ( When not using much, Power saver, moderate use, Ondemand, and rarely Performance, but sometimes multitasking it's needed), toggling off and on Bluetooth, wifi, synch, nfc, screen timeout, screen brightness, Location, and GPS. Push near 19 hours, could get more if didn't keep Google Plus and Facebook active.. The auto battery savers don't fit exactly anyone's usage style, but manually turning off and on manually does. Takes little time, four minutes in a day. Elixir2 replaces 8 apps; fewer apps, longer battery.
Use what i use as starting, check other brands and models; it has to fit your use style. I can fit all charging, Bluetooth, and storage in shoulder bag along with first aid kit and two Spyderco knives, Pacific Salt and Ladybug Salt.(Nitrogen steel instead of carbon; they don't rust.).
Sorry about loquacious rant, want to be thorough about this. Most discussions here are high tech, but most non devs, even some devs, want practical day solutions.
I don't root my devices to experiment with roms and other items in Android system. Since I use Nexus i don't do it to remove bloat. There is no bloat, some apps of Google I don't use. I don't play games so game controller unused. Perhaps half dozen I dont use I disable. Google does provide that option, so no going into system and changing extensions to App.bak until know system stable without the app.
Helpful to carry digital gear trousers with cargo pockets and if you do wear suspenders, shoulder bags ( I get mine in women's departments, the more Spartan women's bags so looks like any M or F style. Women's bags have better arranged pockets. Small day packs useful too. In town I just carry first aid kit, emergency kit, and digital kit and accessories in pockets I carry my Nexus in an inexpensive Think Sense case and my Nexus 7 in a wallet, fake leather, phone on right side and left side the few cards I have to carry, state ID, Medicare, credit card, AARP, private health care supplement card, and drug plan card. All other cards are saved digitally in Key Ring (loyalty cards for stores, library cards and two dozen others).
Carry spare microfiber cloths. i don't put protective plastic on either device; they have gorilla glass. I dont have any scratches. Out I keep the 4 in the wallet, got at Amazon; saw one at Target, so guess most major stores carry. Think Sense case for N 7 turns device off when closed and on when opened, has loop for stylus. Yes, I can write notes on the N 7 screen (perk of rooting).
Every decade items I carry do more, are smaller.yet I carry work knives, old fashion compass, and three ways to make fire.

I figure that in your country Bluetooth and WiFi important technologies. I recommend the Seagate Wireless Plus; it holds a TB of data.
Google peeved me off by not having radio. They make a powerful quality phone without some carrier skin on top of Android, with apps you may not use but can't really call them bloat, plus you can go to settings, apps and disable ones you don't use.
