Sprint Galaxy Note 5 - stock rooted - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hello,
I recently upgraded to the Sprint Galaxy Note 5 from a Sprint Galaxy S3 stock rooted.
Note 5 should arrive by mail this Friday. I would like for the Note 5 to be stock rooted.
Can anyone advise the best way to do this? I was able to be stock rooted on my S3 via Odin and the S3 has been awesome.
An opportunity presented itself in which I was able to upgrade to the Note 5.
I don't plan to flash custom roms in the short term, but perhaps in the far future I might.
I read about tripping the Knox counter and how it affects Samsung Pay, but I had never used Samsung Pay before.
If I have to give up Samsung Pay to be stock rooted on the Note 5, then that it fine.
Once the Note is stock rooted, I'll like to do the following:
1. disable/freeze some bloat apps via Titanium Backup
2. underclock the processor while my screen is off for maximum battery life.
3. install Xposed and some of my favorite modules
Thank you in advance for anyone's help.
P.S. Sorry in advance if my new thread is in the wrong forum. It has been a while since I have posted in any XDA forums.

[Q] Rooting Kitkat stock (OTA) – note 2 GT N7100

Hi
Sorry if there is a similar thread, kindly provide a link if it is available.
I am Completely a knoob when it comes to rooting, have my note 2 for almost 6 months now i am on stock 4.4.2 (OTA) with knox, can any one tell me how to root and take efs and imei backup ( or can it be done without rooting) as well as to not trip knox and if OTA can still be received.
Questions
1. Will tripping knox harm the phone (physical or brick it forever – where to check knox counter?), i don’t care about warranty as the phone is more than a year old now.
2. Does the WiFi get affected or any other problem.
I would also like to flash Note 3 kitkat (stock) with S5 Mod is there a clear way to do this. By the way i have not done rooting or flashed other ROM’s before ever. I have searched through the forum but very confused as most have already rooted the phones before.
Sorry to post such a big question really like my phone and can’t afford another for some time.
If someone can help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks In advance.

Samsung Pay & Root?

Are there any rooted ROMs out there that support Samsung Pay or is it currently a choice of one or the other? I'm currently on a stock OE2 (5.0.2) with root and flashfire. I don't care whether the ROM is 5.0.2 or 5.1, my main goal is to get Samsung Pay working.
Thanks,
Nick
Unfortunately it is one or the other. All these roms came out before Samsung pay came out.
This is the only thing that I wish I had working too

[Completed] Verizon Hates Me...

So... I finally caved, and decided to replace my beloved Samsung Galaxy Nexus running CNA 3.8 ROM in December.
I still remember, however, that it took three DAYS (literally!) to get that phone rooted & install the custom ROM that I wanted some three or four years ago, so I did my homework this time. Well, at least I thought I did... (I have also installed a CM ROM on a Samsung 10.1 Tablet).
But Verizon Hates Me. I chose a Samsung (I like their products) Galaxy S5 because there were many CyanogenMod ROMS available for it... Hey, how hard could it be?!?
Many of you know the answer to that question... The first S5 I bought had already received a Verizon OTA 'Update' which completely disallowed any kind of rooting. OK, Lesson Learned, right? Back to eBay & I buy ANOTHER S5 (vzwlte) that was ALREADY rooted (TowelRoot/SafeStrap), and after my initial attempts to make the *bleeping* thing usable, I am THIS _||_ CLOSE to settling because while it does have root (meaning that I can live with it), I still completely cannot install a ROM... 'Latest roadblock is that I tried to restore SMS through Titanium Backup Pro, and now I can't get any SMS app to work, however that's not my question. (I can wipe it again and get back to 'Usable', but I still want the options available with a custom ROM...)
So... All that setup to ask my Question: What phone should I buy that is similar to the Samsung S5, will support VERIZON network, and allow me to root & install a custom ROM (preferably CM, but only because I'm familiar with that one)...? I think 5" is best for my needs, I don't care much between a 'good' and a 'GREAT' camera... I just want a reliable 5" phone that I can root, install a nice, stable, clean ROM on, and then add an ad-blocker!
Please, any suggestions?

Samsung Gear S3 and Galaxy S4 - How untouched has it to be to work fine?

Hallo there!
I used to root my phones for making them faster and more customizable.
Today my S4 arrived and I was going to root it and install a smooth running Marshmallow ROM but learned the Gear S3 and its according App doesn't like rooted phones. After some research with loads of unnecessary information, I could break it down to these questions:
1) Is it in the meantime possible to have a custom ROM like CM13 with full functionality like answering calls on the Gear? Samsung Pay is not necessary, as it's not available in my country...
=> I guess the answer is "no", as the manufacturer has to be spoofed when installing a custom ROM. Correct?
2) Is it at least possible to install a de-bloated version of the official ROM without getting this "unauthorized modification"-errors?
3) Will applying the CF-Auto Root destroy the 100% compatibility, as it seems to be the "closet to stock"-method to get it at least a little cleaner?
4) Are there any other tricks to de-bloat the S4 without affecting the compatibility to the Gear S3?
(5. Wouldn't the topic of rooted phone with Gear S3 a nice candidate for a sticky?)
Many thanks for your help in advance! :good:

I can tell you gear s3 won't work with Cyanogenmod or Lineage, I tried it myself.
2) Is it at least possible to install a de-bloated version of the official ROM without getting this "unauthorized modification"-errors?
I have a custom rom on my s6 edge plus, as long as it is a stock based rom you won't have any problems and everything will work great.
3) Will applying the CF-Auto Root destroy the 100% compatibility, as it seems to be the "closet to stock"-method to get it at least a little cleaner?
I don't think it will destroy is, I used magisk to root and my compatibility is still 100%
4) Are there any other tricks to de-bloat the S4 without affecting the compatibility to the Gear S3?
if you root the phone, download root uninstaller. This way you can deinstall every app possible, just let everything on your rom you need for gear app.
(5. Wouldn't the topic of rooted phone with Gear S3 a nice candidate for a sticky?)
yeah it would be a good sticky for questions
I hope this helps, all answers are from my own experience using a Samsung S6 edge Plus with a gear s3 frontier.

Best ROM/Root Method for Galaxy S6?

Hello! I currently own a Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) that runs Android 7.0, I've had this phone for almost 3 years or so, and I think it's finally time to root it, I have rooted my S4 before but I wanted to up things up a notch and install a custom ROM for my phone, so I was wondering which ROM is the best one to flash and which rooting method do I use, if there is like a safe one or so?
Sorry for the very "noob" question, thank you so much in advance! <3
