requesting urgent help pls - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i bought a moto g 3rd gen turbo edition edition from flipkart(indian e-commerce website).
i have the same problem faced by many users here i.e ghost touches or touch not being registered properly. went through a reddit post and it looks like the problem is persistent from the first version itself.
i have 4 days left to either get the product replaced or get a refund.
i know its a software issue but the phone will be used by my mom so i dont want to give any inconvenience to her coz shes new to smart phones.
what should i do?
thanking in advance

Sounds like your phone was reported stolen by the previous owner and blacklisted on the network. You cannot install different roms on it like you can for Android. The best thing you could probably do know (unless you know the old owner and can get your money back) is to list it on eBay as "Bad ESN" and hope you can recoup your costs. There are probably ways to get around the bad ESN but that is not something you will find here.
Sorry I closed this thread because there isn't a lot of iPhone information on xda and iPhone threads tend to attract trolls .
I think that coolloser is correct and that T-mobile reported the phone stolen when the previous owner stopped paying T-mobile. Your only real recourse is to try and fix the issue with the previous owner or maybe T-mobile. Finally, changing the ESN of your phone to get around blacklisted numbers is illegal in most places and so is providing help for some one to do it. So please be really careful about asking about changing your ESN and please don't do it on xda.
Thanks!

Replacement/repair ? Please help

Hello everyone !
My nexus 5 suddenly died. I guess the power button failed.
Its now 10 months old, since the date of purchase.
I'm sending it back to USA, since it was originally purchased there, by my brother. I'm sending the original box, bill and all the accessories that came with the device. I haven't rooted the phone.
Will I get a new one, or I'll end up with a repaired/refurbished device ?
I don't know from where my device was purchased. It could be either from Google, or from LG itself.
Sorry for asking dumb questions, if any. I don't live in the US.
Many thanks.

If you bought from the Play Store, Google will send you a replacement. You'll get a refurbished one now.
If you bought elsewhere, you'll have to pay LG for repairs.

[Q] Why would Google request IMEI of a phone??

Hi Everyone!
I've recently received an email from the person who sold me my N5 requesting the IMEI.
When I asked why he said Google is requesting it for security reasons.
I then asked him to ask Google to contact me directly, but he said that couldn't happen because the phone was originally bought under his Google account.
I'm not too sure if I should provide him with it, can anyone give me any advice on this??
Thank you heaps!
Additional info:
The phone was bought from a private sale over Trade Me, basically the eBay of New Zealand.
Phone was advertised as brand new but was opened at the custom for checks. When I received it, it didn't have the protective layer over the screen.
Later found defect on the device, and with the seller's assist I had it sent back to LG America and got an replacement.
Google already has your IMEI so I'd say to not send it to this person.
Yea they can use it to report it lost or stolen and get the device shut down

This was my first thought.
Which means they can probably get a crime number which their insurance will want before sending them a replacement
Only bad things can come from giving someone your IMEI...
Sent from my Nexus 5 with the N5X LRX22C ROM
As mentioned, it sounds like the seller wants to scam you and get the phone replaced and blacklist the one you have

Google (or other legit businesses) do not call people for their Imei number, you`re a fool if you just hand it to anyone. Do NOT give this number to ANYONE mate
thanks for all the replies everyone!
Appreciated!

[Completed] [Q] Oneplus Terrible service help needed

Guys my one was facing some issues back one month ago so i went to the service center in my city(i am from India) .
there i was told that my device has hardware issues and they would replace the motherboard free of cost ofcourse so i submitted my device there back on 11th of April and dated today i have not received my device . I always get answers like "we are trying our best , you would get your device asap". Guys its been 26 days , what should i do ? i cant live without my phone anymore, its also affecting my business. HELP plz
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm sorry but there is nothing any of us can do help with your problem. The purpose of XDA Assist is to point in the right direction on XDA to solve device specific issues, not solve problems with 3rd party service centers.
I'm going to close this thread.
