Hello and good news everybody!
Sailfish OS on Motorola Moto-G 2013 (falcon), this is a community port!
Status, download, installation...
Sailfish OS is a GNU/Linux based mobile operating system, which is gesture-driven for the ease of use. It runs natively as glibc (not Android's bionic), has bash and busybox (not toolbox), uses Qt for UX, and other opensource projects in its middleware -- which basically is just like a Linux on your desktop, but needs Android drivers for some of device's hardware.
And everything else you need to know:
Status
Working: calls, data, wifi, bluetooth, sensors, camera (with bugs), gps
Buggy: Bluetooth Headset/Carkit, Phone does not go to sleep if WiFi is turned on
TODO List
Call volume?

Installation
Unlock boot loader and install CM 12.1 from the 'Android Base' link above.
FAQ: http://bit.ly/port-user-faq
Install the SailfishOS .zip over the top using TWRP
Keep fingers crossed!
If you just get the bootloader warning screen, hold down the power button to force a reboot, and it will probably work next boot.
Enabling OTA updates
Connect to the phone using SSH, or using the local terminal enter the following (after setting the devel-su password)
devel-su sed -i -e 's#^adaptation=.*$#adaptation=http://repo.merproject.org/obs/nemo:/devel:/hw:/motorola:/falcon/sailfish_latest_armv7hl/#' /usr/share/ssu/repos.ini
version --dup
This will set up the device specific repository to my OBS project, and the version command will perform the update. This will keep you up to date with my developments, but I wont guarantee I wont break anything!
If you do an OTA update now, you should find that vibration will work and the BT MAC address displays correctly in the About screen. These are not in the latest image.XDA:DevDB Information

@PiggZ the zip is safe to flash? Because someone ported MIUI or something like this and the phone was hard bricked.. Did you tested the zip before posting?

100% secure i'm in the setup wizard
Sorry for my bad english

Sweet.

Looks good, Gonna test it right now and report my findings..

Do the clean flash or dirty flash? Sorry.. Noob question

I tested it a bit. And it seams to be smooth. Wifi worked perfectly
I couldn't test bluetooth.. While playing around with it i went to the Jolla store and tried to log to it popped up with an error that said "Problems During device IMEI registration. Device IMEI wasn't saved".. After that i went to the Warehouse appstore and i tried to enable a repository and it said
"ERROR occurred
Transaction:/44_dececeed
Status:no-distro-upgrade-data
Could not configure Normal more"
Oh and one more thing MTP didn't work

Can't boot up in my XT1033.. Stuck on boot logo

Beautiful and so smooth... camera not working for me, very difficult to understand... missed nav bar so much...Device- xt1033

For info, there is no access to the Jolla Store, and im not sure there ever will be, but ive installed openrepos for you.
I havnt started working on the camera yet.
My device is xt1032, so if you flash it on anything else youre on your own

First of all thank you for your time and work.
Do you have any idea why this issue with Jolla store could be? I don't know if it's something common with other ports

Maybe the signal strenght bug is due to the baseband version?

Heys guys,
What build of CM12.1 you guys used ?
I have a XT1032, managed to install SailfishOS with cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1K9-falcon.zip and i was able to boot into SailfishOS, problem is i cant stay in it ... it auto reboots after like 1min or so..
Anyone with same issue?
Cheers

Try with any Unofficial builds!

on download page, got them up now
got a quick question for ya...
I've run 2 or 3 different ROMS on this phone already (BoostMobile version).
they've all installed correctly & worked as described in their respective threads.
the only mod I couldn't get to work on stock was the Faux kernel
(although it did work on the other ROMs).
what are the differences in ROMs (other than GSM vs. CDMA)
ie.: 1031-1034 ?
Thanks
I actually activated this w/ RingPlus as a spare phone, been working great.
Not much besides connection gsm/CDMA most or all of hardware is same.

Seems to run smooth, just installed and am currently testing on a Boost Mobile Moto G. I will report back with any issues. Thank you!
EDIT: DSP Manager crashing while using Google Music. I had this issue on the Paranoid Android rom as well.

Hmm, anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?
First of all I started with stock rooted 4.4.
I booted to recovery (CWM) and factory reset, wiped cache, formatted system, data and cache and wiped Dalvik. Installed CM11, installed GAPPS and rebooted. Did this a couple times and I keep getting stuck on the cyanogenmod boot logo. Any ideas?

First boot can take a while, just give it some time it should boot up once it gets done creating the dalvik-cache for apps in the system...
I let it sit for at least a half hour and it was still stuck on the boot logo.

Code:
*** Disclaimer

if it blows up, bricks or starts a zombie apocalypse.
I am a developer BUT I am not a kernel/android rom dev!
Pure AOSP Marshmallow
This all started because I wanted to get my wife a cheap android phone that would stay up to date with the latest android. A cheap phone with SD storage and Marshmallow seemed like a great combination hence the E3. Sony has been great at supporting the developer community by providing Marshmallow binaries and working on open source components.
I am providing this rom in my spare time and all of what I have done can be done by anyone with AOSP code. Any changes I make I will endeavour to release to github should I stop developing this rom.

Guide to flashing
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img --> if it doesn't work first time
If you are having booting issues flash the cache image as well.
you also probably want the newest recovery of TWRP or CWM
repo with all the kernel patches I added to the E3 if someone wants to build it for themselves

Changelog

new unified display driver with flamingo specific fixes for display not turning on (seems to affect some devices worse than others)
19/03/2016
6.0.1 Release - updated boot image should get rid of display issues. Updated system image with security patches
New releases are in the downloads section and dated.
8/03/2016
6.0.1 Release, thank you all for waiting, stock build first. I really need to learn how to do nice release notes..
updated blobs which should mean a more stable build. Also we are getting closer to getting a working camera.
17/11/2015
Two new system builds
with modem files and one without
25/11/2015
Phone has arrived in the country should receive it soon
this will mean I can continue work on this device, I cannot just take my partners phone and mess with it unfortunately ;-D
26/11/2015
Phone arrived, have got a working system image, am uploading a backup from twrp now.
26/11/2015
Yay I have a working system.img for you all to flash and I put some extra effort to add a nice boot animation
I have also added the stock kernel(boot.img) as it seems to be more stable than erikcas one at the moment.... possibly
I've also attached the bootanimation should you want to use it on stock or whatever. Is not mine, can't remember the person who made, it, was posted to reddit/r/android if I find it again I'll attribute it.
02/12/2015
New boot.img with improved io performance, you should see significant improvements if you've experienced lag. Thanks goes to @vinay for his work on the flamingo kernel. One small change removes CRC checking which improves performance by up to 30%

It makes a tutorial on installing via please ASOP ? :crying:
can this apply to D2202?
yes, this will better if you tell us for what variant of E3 in this Marshmallow thread
Will it work on D2212??? Which is your variant???
I have downloaded all the img files. Give step wise tutorial for flashing. What is the ramdisk.img and ramdisk-recovery.img and how to flash them???
Ramdisk is probably kernel. One without and one with recovery. Everything is flashable from fastboot
Okay, means this rom will work on D2212 /D2202 as they don't have seperate recovery partition
OK i´m downloading it i will write here and post screens if you want

Maybe for new bootloader? If i good remember for E3 here was 2 bootloader types
Can you please create a quick installation guide and/or requirements (bootloader), i will be pleased and please can you tell us the bugs
Do i need to flash ramdisk OR ramdisk-recovery OR recovery OR all of them??? I am confused
this is no gonna boot at all. were is kernel?
and sony upload stuff for compiling rom,s for lte varriant,s so test it on d2203.
and system.img is bigger than our system partition it could mean you compiled rom for a different device.

Sorry uploading kernel now. I followed the sony developer world instructions for the D2203 variants
http://developer.sonymobile.com/kno...aosp-marshmallow-for-unlocked-xperia-devices/
please be nice this is my first attempt at supplying a rom. Am re-compiling again as I think your right I misread and compiled for the D5503 instead of D2203, I don't have the device yet as I am waiting for it to be delivered.
I have messed around with building roms before but haven't handed them out.
Again for D2203 and not for D2212/D2202. I think i must throw this phone, nothings gonna happen.

Disclaimer:
Altough we are working hard to deliver a bug-free rom, things may break and we are not responsible if something goes wrong and your hardware becomes damaged or if you have any problem, you are taking a risk flashing roms.
Hi, so you might wonder why the other thread got closed and what's all of this about. Well, the answer is that now I'll be maintaining this rom while Surdu will take care of Resurrection Remix, the rom is the same and you can flash this builds without wiping if you had the 'older' rom.
Instructions:
If you come from stock EMUI 5.0:
Install TWRP (Available in this subforum)
Format data
Flash vendor.zip
Flash LineageOS's zip
If you already have LineageOS:
Flash LineageOS's zip

Without that information, your post will be futile so please meet those easy conditions and try to keep the thread clean!
Last but not least, thanks to the whole OpenKirin team (@surdu_petru @OldDroid) for their amazing job at keeping updated roms for kirin devices as well as helping with this one.

Thank you for understanding !
I'm bit confused. So where is the download section?
Found it

Sorry about that, there must be a problem with XDA servers, it's taking more than an hour to upload! And unfortunately I couldn't upload it without posting the DevDB thread, if it keeps working like that I'll find a more reliable storage solution.
I am really sorry! Check back in 5 minutes or so
Very nice job, and happy you fixed the issue. I'll set it as my daily driver once everything's OK
So what exactly caused the issues ? I'm curious as to whether it could have been solved on our own (i do say without Huawei's kind but forced operations).
And what do we do with that vendor.zip ? Flash it on top of Lineage's original Vendor package ?
(EDIT : Check post on top, the joys of cross-posting )
Still, thank you immensely on behalf of all the community

Hi, the problem was that a driver introduced by Huawei checked the time that it takes to boot (running in a kthread), if it takes more than three minutes it reboots to eRecovery, but it looks like it waits for a signal from userspace to check if it booted (like, write 1 to /sys/.... Whenever it boots).
We were actually aware of this being the issue, and tried to avoid it by editing the function's code (ARM64 instructions because we had no source (By filling the function with NOP or returning 0)) but we didn't succeed at first and thought that the kernel release was near so it made no sense to keep wasting time on it, if you want to see more details just go to github and check what we did, I hope that you understood the explanation.
Thanks for your kind words!
EDIT: The rom is up, you can download it now.
The Lineage zip file has uploaded! Thanks again for all your guys work.
Thx for your job. I'll now have to unlock the bootloader and start flashing. Two questions: can I lock the bootloader again once I installed LOS? Do i need to install twrp or is it enough to just boot it for installation?

Not at all, you need to be on EMUI in order to relock it. (You can if you go back to EMUI but I think that you asked if you could do that while you are on LineageOS).

TWRP is just needed to format data and install the ROM, there's no need to keep it after installing the ROM.
What issues, if any, are present? Does the dual camera work? FPS fully functional along with gestures? Thanks

I am not sure about that, I think it does because that's coded into the HAL and we are using the one from Huawei.

It works well but the gestures are not included by now, maybe in the next release.

I do not want to be rude, but if you want a personalized rom, based LOS or AOSP with fully dual camera support and FPS gesture, you better stay on stock EMUI
does the rom supports volte?if no please add that feature..this is the one con to make it as my daily driver

I have worked to bring LineageOS to the Qualcomm based Moto E4, code-named perry. The device trees I have built are commonized with all other 32 bit Motorola Qualcomm devices with a 3.18 Linux kernel. The intention is for these to become the official LineageOS device trees once we are ready for that.
The device specific code for this device is still very new and a work in progress. Don't expect everything to be working or complete. However, at least on GSM devices, this ROM is stable and functional enough for daily use on GSM devices. I don't have a CDMA device, and we don't even have CDMA networks in Canada any more, so I don't know what the status of CDMA is.
Known working:
Booting
Graphics and video playback
RIL
Connecting to GSM networks, calls, and data
Fingerprint sensor
Camera
Audio
WiFi
Sensors
GPS
Untested or possibly broken
Modifying some camera settings may cause the camera to behave oddly
CDMA support may be broken out of the box
Let me know if you encounter other device specific issues
See this post by @SeanStar to fix CDMA for now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75597767&postcount=118

Installation Instructions
Prerequisites:
This is for the Qualcomm based Moto E4 only! If you have a Mediatek phone, don't install this. First ensure your phone is bootloader unlocked. Follow the procedure on Motorola's website if required. Next, ensure that you you have my TWRP installed on your device. I only support my own recovery builds. If you are using somebody else's recovery, you're on your own. Once that is all taken care of, you can boot into TWRP and install the ROM.
Initial/Clean Installation
Using TWRP, wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik.
Install my LineageOS zip file, and optionally GApps.
Optionally install the ARM su addon and/or a weather provider downloaded from the LineageOS extras page.
Reboot into your fresh installation of LineageOS.
If you want GApps, you MUST install the same time as the initial OS installation. Else, you will need to wipe data and start again.
Upgrading:
When upgrading from a previous version of my own LineageOS builds, dirty flashing should be fine unless I say otherwise. Just install the LineageOS zip over an existing installation. There is no need to reinstall GApps.
Edit: disregard, jumped the gun and didn't read full post lol

Write the two XML files to /system/etc/. One way to do this would be to mount /system in TWRP, then ADB push the files to /system/etc/.
I'm testing it on CDMA in a bit

Wow nice work @squid2
My wife has the virgin mobile version (Sprint mvno) but she won't let me tinker with it yet. She loves how fast the stock camera is and she doesn't want me to "mess it up". No faith I tell ya.

Those apns are pretty old, you brought back some Moto G falcon memories with that zip, lol. Anyway, the zip isn't quite compatible with this device and the apns are pretty different than what they should be. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the stock apns even working at all. I have full signal bars and can get the carrier to read sprint or boost, but just can't get it to connect. So I think it may be just a matter of getting the apns right, otherwise it may not be reading the sim card right. It does say please insert a sim card on the initial setup so that may be it.

I think I may have figured it out. I need any one with other devices with cdma carriers that are rooted to use a terminal emulators and open it then type "su" (no quotation marks) then type "getprop" and copy and past the output to a text file and upload it for me so I can make sure it's working for everyone.

couple of quick questions:
Is FM-Radio working? Or is a working FM-Radio App included?
Is the ROM rooted?
A third party camera app, e.g. open camera, would work?
I'm guessing that because the sources are directly forked from the main lineageos branch, charging doesn't work. Is this the case?

It says so right in the first 10 lines of the OP: Well, we have a really huge kernel bug: system crashes when usb cable is plugged in (you can charge your battery in recovery mode only).

Actual build (11/04) is not rooted: you need to flash Magisk (download link available in the OP), BUT next builds will be pre-rooted.

That's a problem that happens every once in a while (and maybe more often on the LOS 15.1 builds for the G5), and has to do with the misc partition corrupting. Here is a thread that should work https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/guide-fix-wifi-mac-address-changing-t3533841 and here are the instructions I followed: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/guide-fix-wifi-mac-address-changing-t3533841/post70474540#post70474540. If you do this right (use your real mac address when following the instructions), the fixes should be for the most part permanent.

I mean, everything works fine it's not the best definition for this ROM :silly:
What do you mean when you say "Mac is not valid"?
Would you like to test the first build (11/04, no github commits) and see if it works?
Here it is: [url]https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754474747[/URL]
Thank you!
I mean 02:00:00:00 as Mac. I'll try the solution form AutinDroid.
Okay i softbricked my Phone witch that so i'll try to flash that previous build
Okay now WIFI works with the Mac i've tiped in the misc files (this was causing the brick) but i flashed the previous one version maybe it would work with the current version aswell.
