will T-mobile s7 be working on CDMA? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Here is the network support I found from t-mobile support website. The following data means at least T-mobile S7/S7 edge can be used in china and even Asia countries. But it didn't say that it will support CDMA. Anyone has any data to show that sprint version will support the following bands? I have talked with sprint, they said that as long as we pay it in full price. The phone can be unlocked. If it can be unlocked, and it can support the following bands, then sprint version can be universal. But when I was chatting with sprint representative, The rep said that he doesn't know the specification.

[Q] Shield Tablet Radio

I need some help from the developers on this forum. I live in Botswana and both carriers here are GSM 900, which is the most 'popular' European carriers frequency. Few days ago I ordered the LTE version Shield Tablet from USA. In the specifications that I found the North American version radio has support for other frequencies than European -
North America LTE: Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 17 (1900, 1700, 850, 2600, 700)
HSPA+: Bands 1, 2, 4, 5 (2100, 1900, 1700, 850)
Outside-North America LTE: Bands 1*, 3, 7, 20 (2100/1800/2600/800)
HSPA+: Bands 1, 2, 5, 8 (2100/1900/850/900)
My question is if there is any chance for me to flash the European firmware to change the supported GSM carriers or this will be impossible?

Verizon Simultaneous Voice and Data

Does anyone know if the new 2015 Moto G will support simultaneous voice and data when used in the US on Verizon?

From the specs listed on the Motorola site, it doesn't look like it'll be on Verizon:
Moto G - Sprint Prepaid, US Cellular, Virgin Mobile (XT1548)
LTE (2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 25, 26)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 1700, 1900 MHz)
CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz)
TD-LTE (41 TD2500)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
It states Sprint, US Cellular, and Virgin Mobile.

Yeah, the gen 1 was sold by Verizon, 'course, it was locked up tight and you couldn't put a recovery on it, to my knowledge.

Once it started shipping with 4.4.4, then you couldn't unlock the bootloader any more.

Moto G3 Canadian version and Band 12, VoLTE

Hello folks. First of all I would like to apologize if I am posting in the wrong forum. I have searched for almost a week now for an hour daily, and cannot find a definitive answer. WILL MY PHONE WORK ON T-MOBILE IN THE UNITED STATES? Seems like a straightforward question, but if you read on, you will understand the source of my confusion!
I am quite confused and somewhat concerned about the issue of Band 12. Does the Canadian version of the Moto G have band 12 or not. My reason for this concern is that I am traveling to Florida (from Canada) for Christmas, and after some reading I have concerns about whether or not my phone will work. I subscribe to Roam Mobility which uses T-mobile when in the U.S. The Motorola website indicates that the U.S. version of the Moto G 2015 DOES NOT use band 12 (disabled by T-Mobile recommendation), while the Canadian version DOES. But I have also read somewhere online that the Canadian version DOES NOT use band 12. I initially thought this was a good thing. But after some digging it appears that because I (may) have band 12, but do not have Voice Over LTE, I may not be able to make calls on the Moto G3. From what I am reading if band 12 is in use, it will not drop back to 2g/3g for phone calls. The calls won't work on T-mobile band 12 because it is used for VoLTE which the Moto G3 does not have. Can anyone confirm one way or the other if the Moto G3 Canadian version does or doesn't have band 12, and will the Moto G3 work on T-Mobile in the U.S. Thanks for any help you can offer. Gotta get this figured out!! Thanks all for any info you can offer.

Hi,
I have reported this thread to be moved to the right Q & A section where you might be able to get help quickly.
From motorola.ca, LTE 12 is listed:
Bands (by model)
Moto G - GSM (XT1540)
LTE (2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 1700/AWS, 1900, 2100 MHz)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Moto G - ACG, Republic Wireless, Sprint Prepaid, US Cellular, Virgin Mobile (XT1548)
LTE (2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 25, 26)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 1700, 1900 MHz)
CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz)
TD-LTE (41 TD2500)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Yes, as stated in my opening post Motorola shows band 12 on their website. But I don't thoroughly trust that, as band 12 previously showed on the US website as well, but has been removed. I have read online on another site that band 12 has been disabled on the Canadian version as well.

T-Mobile Stylo 4 on Total Wireless

I have a LG Stylo 4 sitting around accumulating dust. My good friend just broke his S7 and cannot afford to get a new phone at the moment. I want to try to help him out but im not sure if this device will work on Total wireless. I know Total wireless uses Verizon towers and also i know this device doesn't work on Verizon. What I don't know if is this phone doesn't work on Verizon due to band support or Verizon system not allowing the phone to be used because it is a 'non-certified Verizon device'.
The spec state the device has these bands.
- 4G LTE
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 20, 38, 41, 66, 71
-4G (HSPA+)
1, 2, 4, 5
-3G / 4G (HSPA / UMTS / HSPA+)
1, 2, 4, 5
-2G (GSM, GPRS, and EDGE)
850, 900, 1800, 1900
And total wireless states it uses these bands
- 3G : 800 MHz ESMR, Band 10
-4G : 1900 MHz PCS Band 1, 1900 MHz PCS Band 2 (LTE).
So i see it has LTE support but for 3G there is no support. Seeing this make me think it would possibly work but at the same time not. I say that because im using my Oneplus 6T on version and just get not 3G service. If anyone has an answer that would be great.

T-mobile devices can be used on Straight Talk with a Straight Talk SIM kit that is intended for use on T-Mobile and AT&T devices. Straight Talk is a division of the TracFone network and uses Verizon towers. Total Wireless is also a division of TracFone so the same should be true for it as well.

Question Unlock frequency bands

I rushed to buy this phone and bought it from Amazon where they said the phone shipped from Hong Kong. I am in the USA and use AT&T. Unfortunately I don't get any 5G signal, even though it's included in my service and the SIM card is 5G capable along with the IMEI being registered with AT&T. Besides 5G not working, the 4G coverage is super slow and I was thinking it was probably because the phone itself doesn't cover sufficient bands available in the USA because my last ROG Phone 2 was super fast in every way. Does anyone know how to unlock the bands for 5G or at least more 4G LTE bands please?!? I really can't stand these speeds
Your carrier would have to add them to the service. The bands you have are set by the hardware. You can't unlock them.
it is tied to your hardware. Youre screwed.. but please dont tell me you paid the premium on the phone just because its was on amazon? You could have gotten the same glorified tablet for 600-700 elsewhere

No I bought the cheaper version (not the ultimate) but with the 16GB RAM. I guess this will just be a project phone
I guess lesson learned! Just sell it then buy the global one.

Who is going to buy it? Now that the proper local versions have released, the resale on a used foreign version is going to be about $200 (unless you pay shipping back to the origin country), meaning you are still around $800 short of buying the same phone.

Yesterday I noticed I had 5g service on my 16gb 256 version. I am also with att. I was surprised to see the icon so I checked the band. It was on band 2 which was previously a lte band in my area. The speeds were the same so I dunnno if it's really 5g or not. Mine is the global one direct from Asus

The global version from Asus has similar bands to the US version. The ones from Hong Kong are Tencent devices, which do not.

Interesting. I'm on AT&T with a 5g plan and sim, and I have yet to see the 5g icon. After spending some time with AT&T support verifying my IMEI etc, I still have had no luck and 5g is definitely active in my area. I have also purchased the phone direct from the US Asus store.
Do you mind sharing your APN settings?

Of course, the first image is the default APN settings and the second one is just an APN I added that I thought might've made a difference but didn't do anything

Thanks for these. I'm going to try adding the settings that you used under bearer and see if it changes anything on my phone. I won't be able to try until later but will let you know.
The samsung devices list GID under MVNO and 53FF under value but if I do that on my phone the APN vanishes.
Hopefully Bmayne responds with their setup too since I have the same device.
Billy, thanks for asking about the APN. I didn't think to look at that. Apparently it's a new APN I haven't seen before. Here it is.

This is Global/Europe version. Here have this model supported bands and combinations: https://cacombos.com/device/ASUS_I005DA (A-version).
If anyone have US version of this device and rooted, would be interesting to list this model to compare Global/Europe one.

To see combinations with 5G and 4G. 5G NSA require the device support anchor band (4G) and 5G together.

They don't appear to have data for other models of the phone.
https://store.asus.com/us/item/202105AM210000001 lists the information under "Connectivity" for the US version of the phone.
https://rog.asus.com/uk/phones/rog-phone-5-model/spec lists versions A - H under "Network Standard" for the Europe versions.
You don't need to be rooted if you know where to look.
And since who doesn't love tables and charts, here is the Europe version breakdown of what every version supports and then what is remaining.
