MWC brought us a look at new and upcoming devices. Lg G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Sony X series and more. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this event and its devices.
Personally I like to get my hands on the S7 titanium silver. But I also favor the Xiaomi Mi 5. Just about the same specs but lower price tag. It should be availible globally.

I know a lot of it comes down to a matter of personal preference and opinion, but in terms of sheer processing power, hardware and functionality what would some of you tech gurus consider to be the top 3 phones and tablets?
And additionally, where do Xiaomi and the OnePlus fit in? Any insight would be helpful. I'm really just curious if the IPhone and Galaxy are best around or just the most heavily marketed.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge would be my first pick. And its a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 4. 2015 is a year of some big releases but as far as late 2014 early 2015. LG G3 or Curve. One plus One, HTC One M8. Samsung Galaxy S5. Phone technology now is huge compared paslike 2009 or 2010 when there was a "best phone" which was the iphone but now all manufacturers even the Tier 2 or Tier 3 companies have amazing phones. Everybody has quad and octi cores now. Everybody has 2-3gb ram i think 4gb will be a standard coming soon. So it comes down to phone size, look of the phone and individual features cause Go I got e, Moto, HTC, LG, Sony, Samsung, etc etc all have strong, powerful feature rich devices

All for $175 brand new without contract from Best Buy, good sized development community, the device that made LG smartphone business profitable/respectable, now #1 budget Android phone of all time. The value is just completely off the charts compared to the so called low/mid-range devices today.
I just don't understand why would anyone consider newer budget phones like One Plus One, Asus Zenfone 2, Alcatel Idol 3, Huawei P8 Lite, Motorola G, Samsung Neo etc.
All the Snapdragon 400/600 devices with lower quality builds and even higher prices, why would you consider any of these? Get a G2 + cricket and be happy!
Probably because it's €350 everywhere else?
That's 389 USD, by the way.
As opposed to €249 (279USD) for the Oneplus One, for example.
Which has a Snapdragon 801, not a 400/600.

As we know that a few days ago the Galaxy S7 edge was spotted on AnTuTu and today, AnTuTu’s own account on Weibo revealed the Exynos 8890 version of the Galaxy S7.
The model number of the smartphone is SM-G930F. The smartphone features a 5.1-inch, Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440p) display. It has also 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 12MP camera and in the front side of the smartphone it has a 5MP camera for video calling and taking personal selfie.
It is expected that the smartphone will be launched at MWC,2016.

I am also searching about specification of upcoming Galxy S7 smartphone.. Memory option is available with 32/64/128 GB with Micro SC card support. Primary camera has 12.2 MP with BRITECELL sensors. Overall it is an attractive gadget.

What is the Samsung Galaxy S7? The Galaxy S7 will be Samsung's newest flagship smartphone, and is expected to be revealed alongside the S7 Edge on February 21 at MWC in Barcelona.
What's the difference? The S7 is flat, while the S7 Edge will have a gently curved screen.
How much do we know about it? Very little. Rumours suggest the S7 will sport a 5.1-inch display, while the S7 Edge will be slightly larger at 5.5-inches. Both are expected to sport 32GB/64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and a 12MP rear-facing camera.
When will it go on sale? Both phones are expected to go on sale across Europe on March 11.

alright so I sold my galaxy a5 520W in frustration and was going to pick up the proper 520F or even the Dual sim version..
however my GF just showed me the galaxy S7 active! looks like it has everything but its only a year older.... now that were in 2018 both phones are cheap but a refurbished galaxy s7 active is cheaper and looks to be superior in specs!
ok so which phone should I get between the two? the A5 is alittle newer but is missing some things (LED, not as strong battery, image stabilization) and the s7 active has those things...
also the s7 active WORKS with nextradio! I'd prefer the regular samsung fm radio app but I'll settle for working nextradio
alright so which one would be the better buy? does s7 active work on canada bands? its even cheaper... it looks like a better deal... but the A5 looks like it'll last longer (strange considering the "military grade build)
I'm looking for a new phone to replace my "old" OnePlus 8 Pro who's display isn't happy anymore and I also need something with good stock UI cause for my new job I need a locked bootloader so no Evolution X or whatever anymore.
I like One UI the most having had a Note 3, 5 and 9 in the past.

I was more hoping for some real world experience based recommendations. I know the theoretical and spec differences but I wanna know what people think real-world.
Such evaluations are always subjective, do not have to correspond to device's specs, to serious benchmark tests. Personally I never would rely on such evaluations.
