I know that Galaxy S II is superior than Galaxy S Plus and since i bought galaxy s plus instead of II, i feel kind of bad even though Galaxy S Plus is an amazingly fast device but i still feel bad about not buying a Galaxy S II. Can you comment on this a bit....i mean i had to pay about 120$ more for Galaxy S II which i didn't...was it a bad deal?
I would say yes...
although the galaxy plus has a bit better hard, it lacks the community.
The normal galaxy s roms dont all work on the plus because of different hardware...
I would not say bad as the plus it's a great smartphone now, but the SII represents the future (Dual core). now they might have similar results, but sooner or later the difference in hardware will be noticed. Also, as Dark3n said, it doesn't have a big comunity (at least for now) :S
I am about to sell my Dell Streak and three replacements seem to be coming out very shortly.
Samsung Hercules
Samsung Galaxy SII HD
Samsung Note
Right now I am confused on the release dates of each of these items and availability to T-Mobile users. I don't want to get involved in another ATT propriety phone that will have bandwidth issues. Long of it short, when are the release dates on the last two phones, and what are the bandwidths that will be available? Is pricing available on the last two also?
Samsung Galaxy S2 (Hercules) model is true Quad x Quad band
Quad band 2G (Voice/EDGE) + Quad band 3G/4G
so you can really go any where, any network and enjoy both voice and internet at high speed
that is the one coming out Oct 12 at T-mobiles USA for $230, and possibly unlocked with some luck
the Galaxy Note is due out in November sometimes, the phone is gigantic, 5.6" not sure if you want that, might as well get a tablet if it was me.
Samsung Galaxy S2 HD is only going to be release to Korea soon, no words when it will be available in the rest of the world

I knew the Hercules would be a non-issue phone, but I wanna make sure I am getting the best phone for me.
Will the Note be available on T-Mobile bands? The size doesn't bother me, it is similar to a Dell Streak's dimensions and I believe even lighter in weight.
I m also a bit confused on the processor difference between the SII versions and apparently the Hercules has an oddball processor? Is this of real consequence or more nit picking?
it's the latter, people are just nit picking, and being biased by some synthetic bench scores
as for the Note, they have not yet released enough Tech Spec details to indicate the network type
I'm considering getting a note as well, it has its merits for its size, and screen resolution.
makes good for work, without carrying a heavy or large tablet/laptop with you
I think you should go for galaxy S II, its quite cool..
Best decision for you - sony ericsson
Let me make it more complicated for you!!
Samsung has recently announced new generation of Exynos 4212. It uses 32nm fab process and they claim that 50% increase in 3D graphics performance. Has to be more power efficient. No real time tests done yet obviously, but I think we can trust Samsung on hardware internals. They gave 2 stunning SoCs in GS and GS2. Not sure which phone(s) will have this internals.
Add to this they introduced 20nm fab for DDR3 RAM.
Over that add new camera modules. 1/2.3-inch 16 MP CMOS sensor with backside illumination. 1/2.3 should be same like normal point-n-shoot cams. This they claim can shoot 60fps video at 8MP.
No idea which phones will have those. Sure GS3 will have the cam module and DDR. Not too sure about SoC as they are in-line to pump out Q-Core with Mali-T604 GPU.
Choose your poison.
Hi Good day
I want the best phone I bought this list:
samsung galaxy s5
sony xperia z3
LG G3
But do not know which one is better.
Please tell me which of these three is the best?
Thank you
GS 5 Good camera, amoled screen, removable battery, water proof?,+samsung gimmicks
Z3 Good camera, good batery life, water proof, decent design
G3 Quad HD, Cheaper than Z3 or GS 5, decent design, removable battery, decent camera, big phone.
Negatives:
GS 5 Samsung Knox, plastic,bloatware
Not removable battery, prone to scratches because of glass sandwich
Locked bootloader, Mediocre battery life
Choose one, all of them are good phones.
1. Sony Xperia z3
2. LG G3
3. Samsung Galaxy S5
Thank you friends.
Please give me more tips.
Again, thank you

You can really just flip a coin to choose (assuming you can find a 3 sided coin). G3 has the bigger screen and best scree-to-size ratio and probably the best camera. It has the benefit of SD card slot and removable battery, but no waterproofness, which the other 2 have. With Samsung you're stuck with TouchWiz and a GB less RAM, so it won't perform as well in real-life (meaning outside of synthetic benchmarks). The Sony has the best battery life, but without the removable battery, and the front facing speakers are great for media consumption.
1. Z3
2.LG G3
3.Samsung Galaxy S5
Between Lg G3 and galaxy note 4 Which do you like?
Each of these 2 would be better to buy.
Isure buy one of these phones you please tell me.
Thank you very much

Well it depends on what you want, but if photos matter to you choose the Note 4.
Just in case look at this comparation and think what do you need more. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4,LG-G3/phones/8577,8347
Hi
Sony Xperia z3 is best phone.
Gotta go with LG G3
Good screen, decent battery life, good screen to body ratio, great speakers, good development
To not open another thread have similair question:
I am upgrading from Galaxy S3 and I have some options trough my provider which ensures me a cheaper deal and this are:
- Galaxy A5
- Galaxy S5
- Z3
- G3
I am leaning towards A5 since its metal and alot cheaper then other 3, but I heard it has bad CPU and can't switch battery, is it really that much worse then the others? Would an A5 even be considered an "upgrade" over my S3?
The Note 4 is the king of the phablets and the most powerful device on the current market. If you're considering it, it's truly a brilliant device.
The G3 is a flagship phone, the Note 4 is highest-end device. Comparing them isn't really fair, as Flagships aren't the highest end devices.

The A5 is almost identical to the S3. Not worth it, and indeed you can't change the battery. The A3 is a mid-low range device.
For the others it's a matter of preference. What features are most important to you?

Well I really like Note 4 but I am afraid it might be too big for me, I remember when I had the first Note, I was struggling to use it for let's say when I had to quickly make a call during driving or taking it out of pockets or such. To me tough most important is the battery life, good camera\video, no lagging - quickness of making calls. Note 4 kindof fits my description it's really perfect - but the size. If it was just a little bit smaller :\ I guess I might have to wait another month or two for the S6.
The Galaxy S5 is 5.1" and IP67 Certified aka it's waterproof, the others you mention don't have that kind of protection, USB3.0, removable battery, a better 16MP camera with OIS.
The 5.5" LG G3 doesn't have much development for custom ROMS (if I'm wrong, pls correct me) even though it has a bigger screen then the S5, and both supports microSDXC to 128GB and have Snapdragon 801 chips.
The Sony smartphone is a good device but again in my eyes, Sony fell behind and they're having a hard time coming back up.
I always tell users to look at the whole picture and if in doubt just walk into any store and personally test the forementioned devices you're inquiring about in your first post.
Hope this helps a little.
Sony Xperia is the best chocie according to me. Next Samsung S5 and then LG.
As we know that a few days ago the Galaxy S7 edge was spotted on AnTuTu and today, AnTuTu’s own account on Weibo revealed the Exynos 8890 version of the Galaxy S7.
The model number of the smartphone is SM-G930F. The smartphone features a 5.1-inch, Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440p) display. It has also 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
In the rear side of the smartphone it has a 12MP camera and in the front side of the smartphone it has a 5MP camera for video calling and taking personal selfie.
It is expected that the smartphone will be launched at MWC,2016.

You mean you have already a bought a product that has not yet been released?
Time travel much?
On a side note, The DeLorean is back if you are looking to go back to the future.
I am also searching about specification of upcoming Galxy S7 smartphone.. Memory option is available with 32/64/128 GB with Micro SC card support. Primary camera has 12.2 MP with BRITECELL sensors. Overall it is an attractive gadget.
Whats the antutu score s7 edge got?
All we know about the Samsung Galaxy S7
What is the Samsung Galaxy S7? The Galaxy S7 will be Samsung's newest flagship smartphone, and is expected to be revealed alongside the S7 Edge on February 21 at MWC in Barcelona.
What's the difference? The S7 is flat, while the S7 Edge will have a gently curved screen.
How much do we know about it? Very little. Rumours suggest the S7 will sport a 5.1-inch display, while the S7 Edge will be slightly larger at 5.5-inches. Both are expected to sport 32GB/64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and a 12MP rear-facing camera.
When will it go on sale? Both phones are expected to go on sale across Europe on March 11.
Why should we care? Samsung is the world's largest smartphone vendor, and their high-end Android handsets are among the best on the market.
Hello all! First of all, this phone it's a flagship and cost twicely vs. normal phones. For me it's a unpriority investement.
with touchwiz no more samsung
I am thinking of getting this phone.
I got questions:
1. It is a little smaller then the non edge ones right?
2. I read lots of accidental touching because of the edge that make for some annoying user experience. Your thoughts?

I use a S7 edge SM-G935F Exynos 8890 for trading on the go. I got a new S8+ SM-G955F Exynos 8895 and when I do simultaneous trades on both phones, the S7 edge is faster every time. Is this because the S7 processor is 2.6Ghz and the S8+ is 2.3Ghz. Just thought the new S8+ would execute faster.
If GHz matters, why aren't 2008 computers faster than 2017 computers? 2008 computers often have a higher GHz than 2017 computers.. Yawn...
Geekbench doesn't say the same..

Please remember that the operating system has been improved from update to update, the Galaxy 7 / Edge was not so from the beginning. Let it be at the performance or RAM managment. It has been constantly improved, I think after 1-2 firmware updates, the Galaxy S8 / + will get a similar performance leap.

I don't find the s8+ any different from the s7 edge I think it's true to say it's not really worth the upgrade from the s7 edge to the s8+. Don't get me wrong I like the s8+ just like I did the s7 edge
Side by side with my S8+ and S7E, the S8+ is faster and better at everything I have done. The display is noticeably nicer/brighter with better colors on the S8+. The display size to phone size ratio is obviously far superior on the S8+. Way more display, barely any bigger phone overall.
As far as apps, etc, the S8+ is just faster. I thought I would miss the hardware home button, but have not missed it at all. I rarely lock my phone so having the fingerprint scanner on the back has not been an issue.
Pictures are far superior on the S8+. I realize the most of the hardware is the same or close to the same in both phones, but the S8+ takes noticeable better pics. Especially low light pics, but all pics.
I really can't complain about the S8+. I only used my S7E for a few months once they bricked my Note 7, and the S7E was good. Not as good as my Note 7 was, but not that much of a downgrade. But the S8+ truly does make the S7E seem dated in several ways. These may be areas that most people aren't overly concerned about, and truly the S7E is a fine phone and could last many people several years of quality usage yet. But it is still not as nice as the S8/S8+. That is just how these things work - almost always newer versions will be better. I expect the Note 8 to have several enhancements that make it better than the S8+. As a long time Note phone user, I will be very tempted to sell my S8+ and get the Note 8, but for now I am very happy with what I have. And I kept my S7E as my backup phone so worst case scenario I have a very good phone in case I lose or break my S8+. Win/Win.
The S8Plus is faster than a speeding bullet (Exynos version)!
Your first post! Welcome to XDA!
3dMark also has the S8+ snapdradon version faster than even the S8+ with the exynos chip.
My S7E ran like a Honda missing half it's spark plugs. I am willing to say it's the worst phone I've ever owned and I have owned a loooooot.
