Stock-Based ROMs? - AT&T LG G3

I recently flashed CM12.1 and am finding it to be not to my liking. I'm pretty sure that all of my gripes are essentially issues from it not having access to the LG OEM drivers, resulting in things like being unable to override the screen dimming at low temperatures, and a clumsy camera interface
As such, I have been thinking about going back to stock - but am debating a) which version of stock to flash and b) if perhaps there are stock-based custom ROMs that would provide a better experience for me than pure-stock, while retaining OEM driver stabilities and capabilities.
Priorities for me, in order, are:
Stability
LG Device issues (driver related: brightness / overheat, camera fluidity, SD, etc.)
Bloat / speed / fluidity
Native or easily implementable: titanium backup, full gapps, assignable volume key lock screen shortcuts, root, tweaksbox, tether (USB & wifi)
Battery life
Newish Android version
What Stock-based ROMs would you guys recommend I take a look at, as such?
Please note I'm *not* asking, "which ROM is best" or dinner such nonsense; just what ROMs would be good to take a look at for those sorts of qualities?
Thanks!! ^-^

Okay, so from what I'm seeing, I'm thinking Cloudy 2.5 might be the way to go? It's stable, stock-based, well-vetted...

I'd suggest fulmics rom (current version 3.7)
It has now become kinda like cloudy's successor, since cloudy's developer doesnt update it anymore

Does this phone just hate custom ROMs?

I don't see many options here. Mostly stock roms in this forum topic. I had a ton of problems with boot loops and such and just couldn't get anything to work. OTAs still force a bootloop sequence unless I zero out: "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc". I just disabled the notification for them and everything is fine now, but I was wondering if there was any point to using anything other than the stock ROM.
I kept root and just removed TMO bloatware. The 4.4.2 stock ROM seems pretty damn fast, but I have nothing to compare it too. I'm basically just trying to decide if it's even worth it to attempt another ROM install. Are there any real advantages to any of the other ROMs out there over stock? I'm looking for stability above all else, then speed. Features I don't really care about.

Stock or at least stock based with dorimanx kernel is about as good as it gets for tmo...most of our developers have moved on to newer devices...and non tmo roms don't have Wi-Fi calling

yeah wifi calling is irrelevant to me, but frankly this stock ROM is amazing compared to the performance of my Relay 4G.... H/W keyboard android phones RIP.
Cheers
I have the Intl version which sports more custom roms but they are all the same more or less.... im on stock KK too even though i was a die hard software updater (had 5.1.1 on previous Nexus 4).
Have to agree with you this phone hates modding and is really feeble, it will get bricked quite easy unlike the Nexus 4 which can take a lot of abuse
Try the new cloudy rom. It's a port from LG G4 with various elements.
why dont you guys check in the G2 Android Development. most roms cover all variants there.
For me CynaogenMod's Privacy Guard feature is a must-have on any Android phone. But right now I'm finding that the official CM12 nightlies seems to screw up the modem settings for my local carrier here in Canda (Wind), so I lose access to the service. Constructive suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

need some info about g3

Hello
im thinking about buying this device (2gb version for 20eur) but i need to know if cm and other custom roms are good or better than stock rom? Is everything working in custom roms, what about battery life?
I currently own lg l90 so i think it would be some kind of update.
Thanks for your input.

Everything works, there are no known bugs with custom roms that are user effecting... All CM-based ROMs have an issue showing the connection icon properly, meaning you might be connected with HSPA+ but the icon will display it as HSPA (H instead of H+) or 3G instead of HSPA, but this is only an issue with the visual indicator the connection works properly.
Now battery life is a tough to say, Moto built their ROM and kernel lean and well optimized to the hardware... Early on custom ROMs had a lot of difficulty getting close to the battery life of stock but now they are quite close, with a solid ROM, some tweaking, and a custom kernel you can get the same as stock, or slightly better, battery life.
This phone is pretty friendly to the flasher, it is not difficult to unlock, root, or flash custom ROMs and it is difficult to hard brick it. There are some really talented developers with it as well and LOTS of roms to chose from. If you can get this device for €20 and it isn't carrier locked or subsidized (many subsidized devices can't be bootloader unlocked), go for it, it should work well for you.

Closest MM/N ROM to AOSP for G930F?

Until recently I've used a Sony, but a couple of bad experiences (+ 2 bad replacements) and need for wireless charging due to work + other HW features this time round, means I've switched to a Samsung S7 (G930F). Yeah, I know, Exynos development, but I needed the hardware spec and it came up cheap. Anyhow, it's rooted, unlocked and running TWRP, and I'm trying out a couple of roms..
I usually run without GApps (no flames or "Why use android if not using GApps", please!), and I'm happy to run 6.x + Xposed, or 7.x without Xposed. But as I've only ever used AOSP variants/CM, I'm a bit unsure about choosing a rom based on modding the official Samsung firmware, so I thought I'd ask here to find about the differences "under the hood".
The most stable roms for the G930F seem to be stripped-down derivatives of Samsung official releases - but how close can I get to a stable AOSP experience? I'm not only thinking about the user interface, also about "under the hood" - some custom roms might just strip out Touchwiz and apps, others might strip out a lot more and try to clean up or get closer to a AOSP/CM style "clean" rom underneath. That's more what I'm after, a good quality stable clean rom that's trying to get close to AOSP/CM as much as Samsung makes possible and without GApps already built-in.
But at that point I'm basically lacking knowledge, so... How close do roms based on Samsung's firmware actually get to AOSP? What sort of things get left in that detract from "pure" android? Which roms are closer to AOSP under the hood, or strip out "more" of the Samsung/Gapps code?
Kryx Rom or Extreme Debloated + Nexus Conversion Pack or Google pixel rom
Use LineageOS if you are willing to deal with a few minor bugs.
I'm trying out Lineage right now - it's mostly fine, the main practical issue is an over-aggressive noise gate on phone calls, it cuts off words and makes speech hard to understand at the other end. Other issues I'm seeing are lack of power menu volume panel and crash bugs in the internal web view used by some apps. Not bad for pre-release.
One main question/concern with using a trimmed-down Samsung rom is, I haven't got any idea what Samsung do to AOSP Android/kernel, nor how much of it is undone. Gods know how often manufacturer mods have led to problems and weaknesses in an otherwise good product, and so it's not a theoretical question, manufacturer versions often seem to leave the entire firmware in quite an unknown state. I know there can't be any absolute answers, but any light-shedding would be really useful.

Kryx 1.2 is coming up with zip sig failure when I try to flash it. No sign that it shouldn't be signed, or is expected to come up with this error though, otherwise I'd try it anyway.

Best Stable and Battery ROM for SM-G920W8?

Looking for ROM that is stable and provides the best battery life for my SM-G920W8.
I have done a heck of a lot of searches for that exact question. You want a Nougat based ROM 7.0. Anything above that has camera issues and a few other audio issues. Now if you are looking for any debloated and free to do what you want ROMs, it does not exist as most roms have Magisk preinstalled or Google Apps from stock so you will need to deal with those things. Ultimate Nougat offers a decent ROM but for me, its not debloated enough. You can use any T-Mobile variants as we told me it works for W8. You can also use Samstock ROM which is pretty much as it says, Stock. BUT, it comes preinstalled with root AGAIN, so it's not that stock anymore.
For battery, you need to deal with it. But the nougat roms have, to my opinion, a normal battery life but you cannot expect much with the battery inside the S6, it's dated and other batteries are now better in newer phones.
LINKS for you:
Audio fix: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/fix-patch-call-audio-fix-t-w8-devices-t3637014
Kernel that enables permissive mode by default (if ever you want it): https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ernel-el-generalissimo-v3-01-10-2016-t3472477
I hope this helps you decide. For the roms, simply do the search in the forums Samstock and Ultimate Nougat are pretty easy to find.

Question thinking about buying the g100, but I want to know about custom rom support for the external dock/monitor

Are there roms that support the external monitor+desktop functionality?
New to this site btw, hopefully I'm not missing any etiquette

Edge S / G100 has only 2 custom roms until now (even with almost one year old). And they don't have support for the "Ready For" desktop mode. Today you have Ready For only in stock rom (that's a really good rom, Motorola did a good work here).
You'll probably get screen mirroring out of usb 3.1 on custom ROMs but not the Ready For UI (unless that custom ROM is based on stock). Its still a lot better than chromecast due to wired connection.
You can also try the "Force Desktop Mode" in developer's to probably get somewhat desktop looking UI on secondary monitor, but haven't tried.
Btw the stock ROM isn't that bad. It looks like AOSP and can be rooted. It's not as good as LineageOS of course, but untill we have stable custom ROM it's ok to use (Lineage Modded still got some noticeable bugs). Probably like it more than MIUI, OneUI etc.
