Yes i changed my boot animation ..
But first showing mi.com ( boot logo)
Then boot animation coming...
I want to remove boot logo too .
Plz help me .
Sorry cause off topic, but my opinion is: never shouldn't say "no,u can't delete it" or "no, you can't edit this". Is there something which is impossible in IT-computer-cyber-mega-giga world? I think: yes, you can everything what you want, but you need advanced knowledge for some stuffs. Changing Android boot splash screen isn't any new thing, but is little risky and different from one phone model to another. I was changing this first splash screen on my earlier phones Alcatel 992 D and Samsung S3 mini. Sorry, but I don't know how to change this on ferrari (personally, I would like to know), but I can't to not comment that "it is impossible" opinion.
Once again, sorry cause off topic.

Looking though other phones, you may need to change a file in the kernel source. Somewhat like AK kernel does
Check this thread out. Someone willing to try? http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/tool-change-boot-logo-images-t2763698/page49

Need a little time.
Just to focus you on new found :
The mi logo, fastboot logo is located in aboot an abootbak partition
lrwxrwxrwx root root ubject_r:block_device:s0 aboot -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p11
lrwxrwxrwx root root ubject_r:block_device:s0 abootbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
Found out that the size of fastboot is 649 px long, it's 24 bpp 3 = Bpp
There is also mi.com inside if you look for the photo attached .

Any reason to include in the package anything more that just the logo? It's somewhat dangerous to flash bootloader.
Basically, you made a custom bootloader that a mobile user will see for a few seconds so that people can flash it and possibly brick their phones? It's a bit useless don't you think? Just my opinion because it's not worth risking your phone for a little bootloader that you can only see for a few seconds when you boot your phone.

Yes but a bootloader can brick a phone so it's not worth the risk. I think you should mention that a bootloader can brick your phone in the first post so that a new person to the forums doesn't decide to flash it without knowing the risks.

Why are you so critical to everything what are making for g3? Aren't you afraid of flashing customs because of breaking your phone? It can happen one day:laugh:
BTW... Why are you changing bootanimation from stock to custom? It for a few seconds too I'm too tired of stock gt-i5800 logo... Let MmegaMac go on this project
Sorry for OT

I was expressing the risk. He didn't specifically say that flashing a boatloader has a higher risk of bricking your phone and I mentioned that so he could write it and a noob doesn't come to the forums and flash the .tar without knowing the risks first. Secondly, I haven't manually changed my bootanimation, i change custom ROMs which automatically changes the bootanimation but i change because of the ROM, not because of the animation. I wasn't intending to criticise anything, I just didn't see a point in doing it and i wanted him to specifically mention about bootloader risks in the OP.
Edit: Oh yeah, i've flashed a trillion custom ROMs and also flashed stock ROMs with bootloaders many times so I don't think i'm scared of bricking my phone... I just want people to know the risks because taking a plunge and jumping to conclusions.
Useless and not worth risk.
Well more than a minor eye candy, it's pretty useless.
Each is free to make what he wishes on his telephone. If you don't want to make it, don't make it but do not prevent the other persons from making it !
Thanks for mentioning about bootloader risk in the OP.
AFAIK simply flashing the png file should be enough, as far as I know how Sbl works. Please try a bit more, as it should work.

and yes definitely a one click root mehtod will come up but it will require our devs to understand new architecture of the boot and security till then u can go for this :d

Ok bro.... You should take your device to service centre... They may charge you some money but I think they can fix it and flash stock firmware
Hi, this happened to me once while I still had an HTC Sensation, every rom I flashed didn't boot past the splash screen boot logo, and it had something to do with having s-on instead of s-off in my phone's recovery preventing it from booting other custom OS's.
I found a fix somewhere, which made me understand I didn't need to have S-Off to have a Custom OS, flashed, rather, there was this small trick, booting the phone from the boot.img file with adb instead of rebooting from a custom recovery. This was an HTC Sensation, not a Samsung, Only trying to help:
* Get/Extract the boot.img file in your custom rom's zip and save it somewhere on your desktop.
* Once you're done flashing the custom rom in recovery, DO NOT reboot from recovery, turn it off by removing its battery and fixing it back, then boot your phone into downloader mode and run these commands.
Code:
cd C:\Users\your-username\Desktop\
( path to where you've got your boot.img file )
Code:
adb flash boot boot.img
Your phone should now boot the custom Rom fine, like I said, you'll be trying this at your own risk, as this worked for an HTC in a similar situation.
Hope I was able to help.

How to install logo:
Download logo.zip from attached files
Extract it
Install using fastboot
1.zip to 14.zip are flashable. Just flash from the twrp.
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot reboot
Code:
[COLOR=Red][I]batman_logo.zip - custom logo image (instead of stock logo)
stock_logo_original.zip - this is the original stock logo (if you want to revert)
logo.zip - normal logo (for disabling the warning message screen [/I][/COLOR])
See the attachment for preview.

None of these logos work on my 1602. The phone just hangs at the logo and won't boot. I currently have a soft brick -- I can boot into the bootloader or, from the bootloader, into TWRP, but no further.
Much love to the OP. Worked like a charm on uscellular harpia cm13. Batman is so much better than unlocked bootloader warning.

Flash the logo.bin from logo.zip. Its the modified stock logo. They can easily find out unlocked bootloader by entering the fastboot mod.

Thanks for the quick reply...
As you might be using G4 Play, can you please let me know if there is any custom ROM in which lift to wake option works ?
I'm on ResurctionRemix but that doesn't works (I asked the question in that forum, but didn't got the reply so thought of moving back to stock rom)
In short I'm asking the functionality where in when we pick up the phone, it wakes up for 1-2 seconds in stock ROM
Thanks in advance bro (I know this is not the correct thread I'm asking, but please pardon me. Needed help)

I don't know but i think because when you have like data from miui 12.5 and want to downgrade to 12.0.10 your miui 12.5 data will be there and this will not work properly, and yeahh.... You can't do that if u don't format ig
i see i understand.
I have 12.5.4.0 RCDMIXM --
How can i flash a custom recovery in it ? I try flashing orange fox but it gives me a dm-verity error, and even if i get to the recovery, it gets stuck on the loading screen.

My last stock ROM was 12.5.7 A11 based.
I tried twrp 3.4 and .5 and both work good.
In second time I flashed orange fox with success (despite android 11 not supported) and everything works fine.
However I suggest first to flash stock 12.0.10 and after.flashing OF to see working wifi and BT.
I tried flashing 12.0.10.0 and phone would never boot, i'm not very tech savvy, i ended up deleting that ROM by mistake one day. So i dont have it anymore, 4.2 gb i lost there. In regards to the custom recovery, i'll maybe try twrp, thanks
(it all sounds too risky and problematic, im not sure if i want to continue with this phone, for now i just keep it off, its so bad, i dont use it, no custom recovery, no roms, nothing, everything bugged, it gets bricked easily, xiomi cloud, xiomi login, 3 different security methods, SLA, DA, im so overwhelmed by the amount of sh!"# it has, that its just not a pleasant experience, i haven't been able to use a single custom rom, and i have downloaded around 11 GB's in files with mobile data, i haven't been able to do anything, and i have been trying to mod it for the past 2-3 months and no progress. The rest of the phones i've had just , sudo fastboot flash system <image name> and its done, simple to use recoveries, everything easy. This one is a puzzle saying
" Do not buy me or use me " Going back 20 versions to flash a rom , what a joke, what did they smoke? kornflakes?
The Pinephone allows root on the default Rom, just simply go to developer options, and toggle
" Root Access " And the integrated options will give it to you, no google in it, nothing. Many phones like that one allow OEM unlock (Bootloader- Unlock) Natively, integrated without adb or fastboot. This Xiomi crap sold its soul to the china president and the gouverments, and to google. Bloated with crap, no freedom(they try to tie you to a MIUI account), No proper user control/autonomy, no capabilities, a cpu older than their previous releases.
I honestly feel like an old man trapped in 1980 with an old Commodore 64 , not knowing how to program anything with it ,or how to make a command work. Everything just gives error. And most importantly i feel i own a product worst than the Commodore 64.
I feel like i will have to wait another 20 years in order to see improvements, some kind of Windows, or more advanced version of Linux on the phone, polished ubuntu touch, or Fedora in it. Because right now it just sucks. The whole playstore structure, and the whole default OS is garbage on 92% of the phones.
I quit on them for the next 20 years.
WE should support the Pinephone, Oneplus, raspberry, in any case, Good Companies, not this Xiaomi crap.
