Hello guys, can you help me with my core cause it seems to not vibrate anymore (although I tried many other ways except opting to replace the vibrator) in any app and anywhere it won't vibrate! Anything that might have happened?

Hey guys!
Samsung Focus is having problems during calls. Many people has this annoying problem where the call completely MUTES apparently randomly. In other words, you are talking and you stop hearing everything (and so the other party) UNLESS you press MUTE and MUTE again (to MUTE and UN-MUTE).
It's completely annoying and Samsung/AT&T are not willing to replace the units because "they can't repro". References:

So, I would love to build a program that really MUTES and UNMUTES the phone, not by turning down the volume but doing the exact same action that happens when you press the real MUTE button.
Is there any way to achieve that? I would love to detect the 100% mute while speaking, and if that happens, just run the little program which MUTES/UNMUTES and by doing so, corrects the problem that lovely Samsung and AT&T can't repro.
Thanks!
Magic.
my samsung focus never had a problem so far...i got it in jan of this year and never had a problem ..u sure its all or just one disinfected one
Hi rdsjuggalo!
I'm not saying 100% of Samsung Focus have that problem. I'm saying that many people have the same issue and so do I. I've provided links to other places where people from around the globe have the same problem.
Now, this has nothing to do with infections. My wife's phone and mine are 100% originals without a single program installed, and that happened from day 1. Also, I've sent the device to Samsung and AT&T two times and it came back with their own installation of the OS, but the problems are still with me.
So, yes, I'm sure this problem is happening to many people and that it does not have anything to do with programs/infections.
Thanks!
hi all.
the problem i have that i hope to get help with is this, everything was OK until around a month ago when i noticed it wasn't waking up from sleep.
after trying to pinpoint the problem i discovered that it was freezing when asked to wake either by power button or by notification- e-mail texts and the like, but not as far as i know when receiving calls. that seems to be ok so far....
now here is the twist...non of this happens when plugged into the mains/USB power or when its kept from sleep by say my music or radio app.
so guys and gals, does anyone have any ideas that will help either cure this or are there any apps that can run in the background without killing my battery too much
Thanks in advance

That is what we call the Sleep of Death. So far there really isn't a fix for it. For me it was one of the apps I installed that was causing the problem along with the custom rom I had installed too. Here's more information on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707521 and I found this to see if it might help http://www.ehow.com/how_12183457_can-stop-sleep-death-android.html
Hello everybody,
I have this problem that's more than annoying and that I really couldn't find a solution to. I've tried finding someone with the same issues but couldn't. The problem is, when someone is calling me, my phone rings, but the screen doesn't turn on, only the capacitive buttons do. I didn't have this problem before, but after installing some stuff it appeared. I don't really know what caused it and how to fix it. I have XPERIA Z FIRE SERIES 5 rom for Tipo, Nova launcher and running Crystal 2 theme. Could any of those possibly cause the problem? I can't see the number thats calling me and it's hard to answer the call since I can't see the buttons either. Aside of that, I have one other problem. My phone ram is allways on ~400 without any app turned on. I have a few apps for apps killing and clearing ram and I do that often but still it doesn't help since after cleaning it's back to like 95% in a matter of an hour. And even when I kill all the active processes and apps, my ram is still on like 65% usage. I don't know whats using it up, I can't run anything on the phone, I've deleted all the games since they lagged like hell, even the most simple ones that should run smoothly. Hell it laggs even when I have to unlock it, enter menu, call someone, do anything...
Well, thanks in advance for any advice that you have to offer.

It seems to me that your rom isn't bugfree... Flash a stock fimrware, and everythig should be pico bello . The RAM usage is strange, but the call issue isn't very rare, many people report this. Flashing a stock firmware will most likely fix this!
Have a nice day!
Hello.
I have a chinese phone, Inew I2000. ( clone of Chang N7300+ ). Well, to be fair it's Mediatek MTK6589 generic phone, like there's so many in china.
And this specific one have a pretty bad issue : it randomly freeze. The screen keep displaying the picture, but the phone doesn't respond to anything. Not even keeping the power button pressed. I have to take out the battery to reboot it.
I haven't been able to notify any pattern to those freeze. They will happen from 1 to 4 times a day. Sometime just while the phone is idle, sometime when I'm using it. It never happend to me in the middle of a phone call, but it happened while the phone was just sitting there. I would realise it was frozen when picking it, and realising it was not switching on of responding to anything.
I tried resetting it to factory setting, and re-installing the rom. It still happens. I am now wondering if this is a hardware issue, and if it is if there's anything I can do.
Google tols me that it seems other chinese phones have had the same issue now and then ... but I haven't been able to find a solution so far.
So as a last resort, I decided to ask to the place where I know of the most skilled people regardng phones and android ... here.
Just to mention, I'm not afraid of trying anything with that phone, including un-assembling it if it has any chance of solving the issue. If you have any idea, please share.
Edit : also, I tried looking for similar thread on xda, but didn't find any ... maybe I just didn't find the right keyword.
MTK6589 - Jiayu_G3S freeze
Hello.
I have unfortunately same issue and didnt find anything useful too( I have Jiayu G3S). But my phone freezes only when it goes to sleep and then cant be wake up.
First issue was bad gsm antena. And after some time (few months) it start doing this. It was only 1-2 times or few days nothing. But now it almost everytime Its really annoying, cause i use my phone as alarm clock and it didnt wake me up. Sometimes freezes and the phone is very hot. Like when u play games. I try many many roms, try not to instal many of soft, try new kernel and nothing.
I´ll be very glad if someone have some idea. Warranty is over now (expires in 6month) so returning is impossible
Thank you so much for any advice
Have a nice day Q
I dont really know if this would help because I got my Ainol Fusion Air tab (before replacing with my cm life) I had the same issue with the freezing...Try this.
Settings-WiFi-Advanced-Uncheck "Keep WiFi off during sleep"
Hope this helps
Hello, i recently bought an Idol 3 5.5 and so far im very happy except for one thing: the notification light keeps always on, i tried everything (disable all notifications, reformatting the phone, uninstall all non stock apps, etc.) and the problem persists, the led is always on unless i turn the phone off.
The recent ota updates didn't fix anything, so if anyone had this same problem or know of any possible solution please share it, i wouldn't like spending one month without my phone while it's serviced.
Thanks.

Did you try toggling notifications on and off again? This is not a subtle IT Crowd joke, it's something that has actually worked for me with another setting on this phone.
