I want to know that, how to change the minimum clockspeed of my phone's processor.
I mean to say that my phone is octa-core having frequency range of 728MHz-1664MHz. So i want to decrease my minimum frequency that is 728MHz to 500MHz or something bcoz it will save a lot of battery .......so how to do that.........plz reply

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
As you already received help in in this post I will close this thread. You can only underclock your device with a custom kernel which hasn't been developed yet for lack of source code. Keep an eye on this thread > Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Help Thread][Karbonn Octane Plus] for any related news.

[Request] gpu overclocking ?

hello
i want to request from developers to bring gpu overclocking ability to optimus 3d.
i guess we need a kernel with ability of gpu overclocking , i guess the gpu of this device could be overclock for example galaxy nexus with omap4460.
i know overclocking is almost or maybe dangerous and i don't accept any Responsibility if your device damage.
i want from developers if they can bring gpu overclocking ability to optimus 3d.
please give your comment about my request
thank you
Wrong forum, ask in Q&A.
it's more request from developers rather Question.
but if it doesn't relate here ok i ask it in Q&A. apologize me.
thank you

hello
anybody has tried any kernel or rom which able to overclock gpu of optimus 3d?
thank you
Do you bother reading the threads at the development forum ?
but i don't know will gpu oc affect on performance?
thank you
What do you think? If CPU overclocking does, wouldn't the same apply for GPU overclocking, bar any stability issues?

Overclocking the GPU will not make that much of a difference. I believe the default speed is at 300mhz and there is a rom in this forum which operates the GPU at 400mhz.
There are lots of other factors that come into play, mem access etc. the increase in frame rate will be negligible together with the chance of frying the circuitry. Even at 400mhz (which would be a 25% increase) in reality this would probably result in around 5-10 percent performance increase at the max or even less

[Q] Not Sure Where to Post New Project

Hello,
I designed and built a coffee table with an integrated screen running KitKat 4.4.2. It has 4Gig of RAM and the CPU is a dual core Intel celeron clocked at 1.8 ghz. I want to post pictures and in depth descriptions of everything. I would Also like to receive feedback and constructive criticism, but I have no idea what section to post in. Any help is appreciated.
P.S.It has an AnTuTu benchmark of 3658.

I am not an expert or moderator or something, but since you bumped this and seem impatient I know that there is a subforum where developers post their Apps and Games which is probably not what you want. However, I see that that subforum is under this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/android ("Android Development and Hacking") which includes another subforum titled "Miscellaneous Android Development". Have a look into this and see if it includes what you want to post about.
Coffee table with an integrated computer sounds like an interesting thing  I will keep an eye to find your thread when you post about it!
Cheers
OK thanks. I will try there tonight after work. Appreciate the help.
Yeah, My little 2 year old brother has been playing non-stop on there for the last two days. That's the first thing he wants when he wakes up...lol

battery led problem
hi, I have this ROM Small update version. All it's ok, but I have small bugs with battery led. (it doesn't blink if battery is low, it doesn't flash if I plug charger), thx for some help.
Nice ROM
Its ROM that I love. But I dont use your setting performance, I think its still no lag with just Max Clock on 1008 MHz. Then better don't use the zRAm when play game. When I use ZRam, Much lag when playing game. Oh ya, If I prefer performance better use CPU governor with MinMax or Smartassv2? then I use NOOP for I/O Scheduler but you use SIO which one better for performance?
I hope you launch ROM again when CM 11 be stable on Xperia J. I really like the swap memory that you do.

Can anyone confirm that this worked for them? I have the Sprint version and am rooted, root explorer shows just a blank white screen when I try to open it with the text editor.
Thanks for any help!
I'm just waiting on confirmation too.
It's not that I don't trust this, it's just that I've already taken one flex 2 back to the shop because I messed up the build prop.
A custom recovery would make me alot more comfortable with trying these things but, until then I'll wait for proof that tweaks and mods work.
My max freq is already set to that value o.o...

CPU-Z = First four cores - 1,56max, the rest can go up to 1,95.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S2 CPU thermal control

Hy guys,
is there a way to control the CPU thermal values in a Samsung Galaxy s2 (rooted)? I'm trying to increase the temperature value that makes the processor run very slow. Right now the limit is 65 C and i'd like to put it at something like 85 C so the games don't get choppy really fast.
Thanks.
ps: i tried Samsung DVFS Disabler but it doesn't do anything.
Hi there,
Almost all about your device you will find in this sticky threads where you can ask as well:
Samsung Galaxy S2 General Forum
The proper thread for questions is this one: [Q&A][SGS2][Newbies][Experienced Users][RCs] New members friendly Q&A thread
