[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S2 CPU thermal control - XDA Assist

Hy guys,
is there a way to control the CPU thermal values in a Samsung Galaxy s2 (rooted)? I'm trying to increase the temperature value that makes the processor run very slow. Right now the limit is 65 C and i'd like to put it at something like 85 C so the games don't get choppy really fast.
Thanks.
ps: i tried Samsung DVFS Disabler but it doesn't do anything.

Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy S PLUS ?

hi, i have a question for i have search a lot..
What phone is better for application Samsung Galaxy S(I9000) or Samsung Galaxy S PLUS(i9001)
And one more think .. -= at I9001 i can install android 4.0.3 from this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
????
In my opinion better option is standard Galaxy S. He got better GPU and have better development, you can see it on forum The difference is CPU, Galaxy S Plus have 1.4 Ghz fabric overclock, but you can OC Galaxy S easily so it shouldn't be a big problem ;D
sooo .... samsung i9000( galaxy s) is better than i9001(S+) at gameing , web browsering
If you really want to install ICS you should buy the I9000 not the I9001, because the rom you've posted is for the I9000 ONLY!!!
The I9001 has a newer processor and so on - and in my opinion its better than the I9000...
If you can afford, but galaxy sII.
If your choices are limited to galaxy s and galaxy s+, go for galaxy s

Galaxy s is better as its more popular and its rooms are available at xda forums... gti9000 is way better than gti9000+ if u consider gaming

Moving to Q&A
I think it all depends on what type of things you do with your daily phone.
The Galaxy Note is definitely good if you do a lot of documentation reading since the screen is large but small enough to fit in your pocket.
But the One X sports the quadcore processor that will definitely keep up with multitasking/games. The battery may be an issues though. For the processor and screen it looks to be a good battery life, but 12 hours of "normal use" as Engadget says isn't really helpful since no one is going to pay to get a quad core and use it normally.

[Q] Samsung Security hole - SII, SIII & Note II

Hi Folks,
Untill now, I managed to always found the answers I was looking for by using the search function. But not this time I'm affraid and as I can't ask the question on the concerned topic (1st post on xda youhou!), I'll then create a topic in this purpose...
My question is about the recent discovery of the huge security hole with the Exynos in the SII & III. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I must be...) but from my understanding, it has to deal with the CPU and the Samsung Kernel.
So my question is: are the Custom rom and kernel concerned with this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance

[Q] note 3 or s5

Dunno if this is in the right section but I have an opportunity to get a Samsung galaxy s5 or a Samsung galaxy note 3. I currently have the s5 on loan from my friend but want to know from your guys experience which phone you guys like better as I am in need of another used phone. (Long Story why I can't get a new one). This phone must last me a few years or more.
There's a dedicated thread for such questions here,

So I will close this one. :good:

[Completed] XDA is missing the Samsung Galaxy Tab A, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.7

Was planning on purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet from either Swappa or T-Mobile. I wanted to research the rooting process and such before committing to the sale.
I've searched high and low and everywhere in between, there doesn't seem to be a forum for this device. The site also seems to be missing the Galaxy Tab E as well. I found the Tab , Tab 2, Tab 3, Tab 4, Pro, S, and S2.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Yes there aren't any forums for the devices you have mentioned. However this may be because the device has been considered as a 'low-activity' device. This means you will have to use threads found in general forums like 'miscellaneous development'. We do understand the inconvenience of not having a organised forum compared to most devices, but this was a decision from the admins.
