Look at your notificationbar you have tons out stuff currently running and one looks like an antivirus app.
Restart your phone and close the antivirus and the apps which show the notifications.
There's a reason why in benchmarks only the necessary stuff runs.
(in pc benchmarks they often use a separate ssd with a minimal Windows installation on it to get higher scores)
P.s.: the g4 should have an nearly eqaul score than the v10 and the note 5 of course has the higher score it has one of the fastest processors atm even faster than the snapdragon 810.

I have both phones, they are not that different. The G4 is rooted and debloated while the V10 is somewhat debloated.
I am sure that not running the 3D test is making your overall score lower as well.

Then sell it and buy other phones lmao

I did this test twice.
The first time my score was about 62000
The second time my score was about 54000
So i remove antutu apps from my phone. Its not a stable app and the results are fun. In Every test you will surprise with a strange score...
Remove it and enjoy ... Best phone of world is in your hands.

There are many things that changed the score, the app is not unstable, and the score doesnt say much.

Not everybody get that 8k score difference, in fact, I tested 5 times and they r all around 63k to 65k

Real world results matter, not benchmarks

OP, you don't even have the 3d benchmark installed, meaning your results are going to be lackluster in comparison with one that does. Personally the highest I've managed to get was 70k, but that seemed to be a one time thing. I average around mid to high 60k.

If you want to run a benchmark it's best to do it on a phone that has been rooted with no extra apps or bloat installed.

Well, a friend of mine has the Note 5, which, although sometimes reaching 85k, still gets about 65k most of the time.
So stop drooling, guys! XD

To me - this is the best statement towards this discussion. Benchmarks can be skewed and ultimately do not mean much. Every user is different, and each phone responds differently based on use. As a owner of Note's and Iphone 6 Plus - I have to say - the V10 is an impressive phone. If LG continues down this path, they will become a major competitor.

In all honesty benchmark apps are completely pointless. The results mean absolutely nothing. The phone runs great so who cares about a number

Stock rom 5.0 rooted, superuser installed

Funny that you all are scoring so highly. I ran AnTuTu 2x while fresh out of the box. Both scores were in the 46-48K range.
I scratched my head because my [rooted & ROM'ed] G3 and S3 had much higher scores but can't match how fast and smooth my [stock & full of bloat] V10 is.
Benchmark scores are indeed for those whom are lacking in other areas LOL. But seriously, don't put much weight into benchmarking your device.

Benchmarks are for phone nerds

Benchmark scores in a "real life review" section... I can remember Galaxy s3 moments, when roms and kernel had benchmark hacks to give high scores.

Mine were worse, and this was only after less than 24 hours of use, so the memory is not full, and the device isn't packed with apps that run in the background. I made sure to close all apps in the background and disabled everything that might've made the phone slower. The end result was something that Note 3 could beat easily. I think it's software-related, but I also think they will never fix it. G5 is out, and since they're going head to head with Samsung right now (and they will lose), it's their main priority. We'll be lucky if we ever get Marshmallow.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy 3 quadrant benchmarks

Hello everybody. I have a Samsung Galaxy I5800 and the quadrant result was 339. Is that good?
That sounds really low actually. If you use the quadrant standard app it will show you your benchmark in relation to other phones to give you an idea of where you're at.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
yes, you are right. Actually I did a little research my self and I found that this number is pretty much low even for my phone itself (without comparing to better phones at all)
That is very low to give you an idea my phones benchmark is at 1847
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Synthetic benchmarks, especially one as crap and easily manipulated as Quadrant, will tell you nothing about how the phone feels in real life.
It's like how the manufacturers want to put dual core cpus in their phones so that they can add more and more bloatware. The device will score high in a benchmark but will be significantly slower than a single core running a vanilla ROM.

Yes, I know and I totally agree with you. This is not only in cellphones. In computer's world things are much more worse. But I only use this app to have an overall idea of my phone potential, since I have installed the latest version of 2.2, deleted lots of stuff I didn't need and installed only a few absolutely necessary aftermarket applications, and yet my phone is relatively slow according to what I see over the net.
In another tread of xda I saw some numbers of what is considered to be a good result for galaxy 3 and it's over 500. Almost 550. So I'm now definitely sure that's there is something wrong with my phone since it only scores 330.
So, I'd like to know if there is any way to make it a bit better?
No I don't have a SG3 I Have Captivate and even before I tweeked this phone I still scored upper 900. This phone is only rooted with stock froyo and it is fast as hell so I decided to stay away from third party roms for now.

Trust me, it's not third party ROMs that make a phone slow. Mine scored that low from the very first moment I flashed the os. Before installing anything but quadrant.
So, any other ideas?
Anyone ???
Quadrant isn't reliable. You shouldn't worry about it. If you are satisfied with your phone then that's that.
In reference to third-party roms, they are usually designed to be much faster than stock actually. You might want to consider finding one for your phone to give it a boost.

Actually I'm not satisfied with my phone at all. That's why I started this thread. It's slow, it has glitches, apps crash occasionally and generally it's unpredictable. For example, double twist, the app I used instead of the built in player, starts playing by itself quite often, while it not even on running apps list...
I have a captivate running firefly 3.0. I was getting 2100 with eclair. 1800 with froyo. Now in the 1300 range. Firefly is definitely garter even though the scores don't show it. I have zero lag now. I dint think the benchmark scores are that reliable.

[Q] HTC Vivid poor quadrant?

As I already know Quadrant isn't the best benchmark, but I noticed that the Evo 3D which seems to be about the same spec wise as the Vivid gets better scores and especially in FPS almost double at times, almost as if the Vivid is capped
Is this because Quadrant isn't optimized for the Vivid? I'm guess that the answer but would like to know just for sake of cursorily.
Thanks!
Quadrant isn't optimized for any dual core devices. Its an extremely inaccurate benchmark. Looking at specs, they should be pretty close if using a good benchmark test, unless there's a big difference in the gpu.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
Seems like quadrant hasn't been changed in a long while considering the phones on the result list.
I'm pretty sure they share the same GPU, just seems like the phone is getting a bad wrap for that reason.

I purchased an unlock atrix 2 to use in my country and i'm having second thoughts. I'm coming from a berry storm so to me its a major upgrade. I honestly wouldn't really agree with the benchmark aspect.
Quadrant:
Atrix 2= 2409
Skyrocket= 3075
Antutu:
Atrix 2= 5177 (unusually high for what Ive pulled before, typically it is around 3500's)
Skyrocket=6477 (beating out the galaxy nexus and only being topped byt the transformer prime quad core)
Both phones were cache cleared, app optimized, maxed stock cpu (atrix 1ghz, skyrocket 1.5, the sky can go to 1.9 but the benchmarks put it into boot loop at that speed) Both are running samung 32gb micros, and screen brightness maxed
One area that the Atrix 2 did excell in was hspa+ data speeds. Same location, the atrix would pull 12+mbps where the Skyrocket would pull around 8-9mbps. Kind of a tradeoff though because when the skyrocket hits LTE Im doing 50+mbps. The atrix is more of a development/ webtop machine as I dont pay for the phone or service (thanks att) and the sky is my daily. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the atrix2 screen as Im not a huge fan of moto screens. Overall I would say it is more mid level than high end. It is sometimes laggy and glitchy but Im sure as soon as the bootloader is unlocked and work really gets done on it, things will turn around.
thanks
So apart from the benchmarks would u say the Atrix 2 can do the same things that the gs2 r nexus can do...imma noob n this will be my 1st android
I believe this phone is right on the level with the other high end phones on the market now. Performance wise it is pretty quick, build quality is near the top, screen is a pleasant surprise.
One thing you should really be aware of when comparing this phone solely on benchmark tests. The Atrix 2 has higher resolution than a lot of phones it is being compared to. This is somewhat of an artificial disadvantage, since this only really hurts the phone's performance on the benchmarks, and not in the real world. Also understand that this phone is constantly compared to phones with overclocked processors, of course those phones will outperform the Atrix 2.
The Atrix, in my opinion is a miss marketed high end device. True, it is not the absolute best phone on the market, but the actual gap between the best phones and the Atrix 2 is very narrow. This phone is every bit as capable as any high end phone on the market, and at half the price.
So no one here would trade for an LG Thrill? I've about had it with the memory bugs on this phone and apps disappearing.

I think you would be perfectly happy with the atrix2. I work for Best Buy Mobile and I have a lot of phones pass through my hands (I personally get a new one every month or two) so I can be kind of biased towards super smart phones. For the price ($49 from bbym) it is an amazing phone. Its quick and capable of most things the sgs2 and nexus can do (sans ics right now). I dont hesitate to recommend it to people at all for the price. If it were 150+ I would probably not sell many because thats going into sgs2 territory and in my eyes the sgs2 line does have better phones, but at 150-200 dollar difference.

I posted my personal benchmark scores because I know that is what a lot of people want to see. Many people like opinions but will really make decisions based on real data. And yes you're completely right that there are some things limiting the atrix2's scores while not impacting real life performance. The atrix 2's release was right around when the sgs2 came out and completely got overshadowed. We didn't sell a single one for two weeks after launch. Only now when the atrix1 is free and the 2 is only 50 more are people really getting interested. I can honestly say though that the atrix2 does not perform as well as my skyrocket but its hard to really take those as comparisons. The faster clocked processor and much better graphics chip give the sgs2 line a more fluid user feel which does impact my opinion a lot. The atrix sometimes gets twitchy. I am excited to see some developement on the ROM from once the bootloader gets unlocked. I would love a stripped stock rom and OC/UV kernel. Or a nice vanilla ICS port. I hav been playing with the gnex for about 5 days now at work and it is really nice. Unfortunately 4.0 market would not allow me to run benchmarks? Idk how the gnex's score is in antutu then
Great reviews for the Atrix 2. Aesthetically, the phone looks good too. But we still can't ignore the fact that apps on the Atrix 2 will randomly delete itself whenever it pleases - possibly the only drawback on this beautiful device.

Most of the problems with the apps have been discussed in details and can be fixed. Make sure you have NO apps installed on the sd card and some class 10 cards dont play well with this phone. Notice I said some, not all. Making sure the card is properly formatted will also save you some headache. Now am I saying you should have to do this, No I'm not, especially with a new phone. But there are working workarounds to address the problems if you take the time to do them.
For the price you WILL not beat this phone and it will hold its own with the higher priced phones. Once we get some custom stuff for it, things will truly be different and in a good way.
I'm probably going to jinx myself for saying this but I haven't had any apps go missing and I have had the phone for 31 days

Beautiful Widgets is 10cents today on the market. It has nice weather and you can select between two different sources.
The only thing that is different about the A2 compared to its high-end competitors is its price.
At the person talking about apps disappearing, the same thing happened to me. They would usually reappear after a restart. I found out that it's because some apps stored on the microSD card try to get accessed before the microSD card is fully mounted, and it messes with all the apps on the microSD. For me, the problem app was a theme for GO SMS. Just go to "Manage Apps" and find the apps on the "external storage", click on one you think might be causing a problem and select "Move to phone."
I have owned other android devices and I was a flash addict, that's how I killed my captivate... That being said, I do look forward to flashable ROMS and other tweaks and mods for the A2. But, I can say that I have never been this satisfied with a stock device as I am with the A2. I got it at Target 2 weeks ago, it was free with a 2 year contract ... I am thoroughly happy with it, I could not ask more of a stock device.

Which latest quadrant (not to be a douche, just wondering which one is not working well)? Is it just the benchmark test, or is your ROM sucking as well? Remember, quadrant scores don't mean a lot, it's the end user experience that counts. The only reason we posts quad scores is to give peeps a reference of how silky smooth something is. If you are not having the same experiences as others on a ROM, then you should consider Gremlins Removal.

Weird thing is the scores are WAY different like Im getting 2100 now vs. 2990 before.
Tha antutu score is still the dame but quad is just stupid now.
What you guys don't understand is that all the scoring systems are different. Say I want to make part of your score based off of your SD card read speed, and then multiply that by 10. If you have a class 10 card you might get 16 megs / s read speed, multiply that by 10 and we get a score of 160. I release version 2 of my benchmark and decide that now the sd card read speed will be multiplied by .5, so instead of giving you 160 more points for your sd read speed you only get 8 points.
All the benchmarks are artificial numbers taking measurements that the benchmark author decided. They almost never reflect real usage performance of your phones. You're better off measuring every day tasks like copying your music collection to your phone, phone bootup time, how much time it takes to open your browser, the fps you get in your favorite games, etc. Things that you ACTUALLY do on your phones. Based on this you can have your own measurements to see how your phone performs with different roms.

nexus 5 bad scores?

so i was watching youtube and this guy did a few tests, antutu quadrant etc.the nexus 5 didnt even score as high as s4 on any of them.
is this because of 4.4? dunno just seems really odd a phone equipped the way it is wouldnt make good scores. ik they are mostly superficial but it kinda does matter to me.

Samsung are one of the known companies to optimize their CPU for benchmarks. Ever since this discovery I have come to believe there completely useless!
I am pretty sure Apple do the same but not sure.
So don't bother with them no more is my advice. you will see in real world usage how much faster it is. it's a beast.
It's the same reason why you don't solely judge a football team by total yards. There's much more to the story.

yeah i thought they were odd. i had phones that were powerful that didnt score well. and phones with less power scoring insane. its really for bragging rights among friends. but its something i seem to use every time i get a new phone. that also explains why some stock roms making better scores then some of the better custom ones.

According to Anandtech the performance gain of the "optimizations" is about 5%. So, not much.
And about Apple, what they do is optimize their software for specific benchmarks. Even worse IMO.
He's correct. Even if benchmarks don't matter it still shouldn't score this low. There is something wrong. Like someone said before the benchmark apps probably need to be updated to 4.4. But it is something to keep an eye on. We should keep an eye on real world performance, if that lags than we have the benchmarks as a reference.

WHO CARES! Yes, I agree that it shouldn't be benchmarking so low with the same processor as the note 3 and g2, but in real world use, this thing probably flies like the Nexus 4.
I haven't actually used the device, so I actually have no clue if it's fast or not, but according to all the reviews and hands on's, it's fast.

My point still stands. It all still means nothing. If the benchmark apps update for 4.4 (assuming that this is even the issue) and the scores stay low, then what? Are you going to return your phone? Are you going to demand an explanation from Google/LG? I mean, seriously what does it matter what these arbitrary scores are if your phone performs exactly as you'd expect it to?
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as an ass but it just seems silly to waste time caring about this.

Benchmarks won't tell ya how smooth a device will be, at least with hardware within a year or 2 of each other. And that's simply cuz modern hardware will run most any semi well coded os smoothly.
Benchmarks will give ya a real good idea how long a device will take to zip or unzip files, or recode or edit that hd video you just took, or run that 3d intensive game, and many others things.
So ya see, benchmarks can be meaningless, and can be most informative. Depends on what your talking about, and the trolls never say what they are taking about. Merrily we troll along ......... troll along ......... troll along .......

Doesn't matter to me. Real world performance is all I need. They shouldn't be low though if the g2 is getting 1,000s of points higher. I am sure everything will be fine though when I get mine and test it out.

But it was the Same with the Nexus 4. the Xperia Z blew it away even with same specs. Which is more evidence that benchmarks are useless.
One thing I can't help but wonder is how much would a iPhone score with a snapdragon 800
some of you are taking this out of context and making it more then it needs to be. all i want to know is why its not scoring as high as expected or to comparable devices. i don't care if benchmark tests mean anything or not.

so far we can only guess that it might not be optimized for 4.4
Most synthetic benchmarks are useless and misleading. The only ones I pay attention to are ones based on real game engines like Epic Citadel and Anomaly 2. Can anyone share benchmark results for these two at highest settings?
