Navbar for almost every Android phone [ROOT] - Android General

Hi! Friends...
I wanted the attractive navbar which the nexus (along with many other) devices had, and therefore did a little research.
Successfully tested on : Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500G)
Note : I am not responsible if you did something wrong and ended up bricking your phone.
To start, you need your phone to be rooted, and a root explorer...
This works fine. LINK :-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer&hl=en
Then open the explorer ,of course.
Next, navigate to /system/. There, you will find your build.prop
Open it in text editor.
Navigate to the bottom and type in the following - qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save the file and exit.
Reboot your system and YAY! You are done. Enjoy your Navbar. :good:

add navigation buttons on your phone

hello guys , today I will tell you how to add navigation buttons on your android phone
-OK-
First you need to have Root Access
then download Root Explorer , and open it and change the line from R-W to R-O
Good now open SYSTEM and hold your finger on build.prop :fingers-crossed: and chose <<Text Editor>> swipe downl and down and down :cyclops: and write : qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 then restart your phone ..
.-. Note : Build.Prop is the build.prop file is your android handset’s ‘ID card’. It tells applications the specifications of your device, so that apps can change their interface or function for your specific device. Editing the build.prop file is most commonly used for changing LCD density, build number and your device’s model or manufacturer. Changing your ‘fingerprint’, model or manufacturer can trick some apps in the market to become compatible with your device.

[MOD][4.0.4] NoSimIcon for Galaxy S Duos

Hello Guys! Today i present to you a mod that i made. A lot of users had been complaining about the Sim Icon in the status bar of Galaxy S duos.
Well this mod is made to remove that.
So lets get to the guide straight away.
WARNING
This has been made on my device running XXBMD4 i have not tested this on any other version so install on your own risk.
This is based on the STOCK XXBDM4
I am not responsible if anything happens to your device after installing this.
This is similar to what has been implemented in cosmic ROM but i have not stolen it from there.
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:
Go to http://d-h.st/WWx and download the SystemUI.apk
Step 2:
Transfer the file to your S duos.
Step 3:
Using and file manger (i prefer root browser) move the file to /system
Step 4:
Edit the permissions to rw-r--r-- (as shown below)
Step 5:
After the permissions have been changed move the file to /system/app
Step 6:
Reboot.
Enjoy and hit thanks if i helped you
Special thanks to
@abhi922 (for helping me with apkmultitool)
@Dev Jaskirat
PS in the photos i am using an xposed mod called tinted status bar. But this mod works even without the module.
Saved for later use
nice ......good work.:good:
@MufcTK
I moved the file and set the correct permisions but the status bar after restart don't show up....any solution ?
Thanks!
That is because you are using a different firmware/ROM than this is meant for.
Reflash the ROM or if you have a backup of the original systemui then use that!

IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKED OR BOOT LOOPED DEVICES, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP AND BE SURE TO HAVE A CUSTOM RECOVERY FOR ANY POSSIBLE ERROR
This changes system emojis and stock Samsung Keyboard to or any keyboard Works best with Google Keyboard

1) Download Emoji Switcher from playstore and download the emoji you whant to be on the system (aplying the emojis wont work).
2) Download root explorer or any file manager with root. ( i preferr Root Explorer because thats the one i have) Root Explorer: https://mega.nz/#!0dMzFTpK!cn6wlZlXxxhA5zS_O5t9Db_B0ede9YZpndJT8CxieFI
3) Go to data/data/com.stevenchoen.emojiswitcher/files/emojisets/ and here are the emojis you downloaded, now copy the one you whant.
4) now open the storage or system tab on top, on root explorer you should have two tabs one for system and one for storage, select the one thats not in the emoji folder you where. Now go to system/fonts/ now open the menu and select " sort order " and select "size" now scroll all the way down and paste the emojis you have copied.
5) Now on samsung we have "NotoColorEmoji.ttf and SamsungColorEmoji.ttf " delete both of them.
6) Rename the emoji you pasted to " NotoColorEmoji.ttf "
7) Now go to the emojis tab and copy again the emoji you copied eralier and pasted in the fonts tab.
8) Now rename that emoji to " SamsungColorEmoji.ttf.
9) Now set permissions to " rw-r-r " to both of them and reboot.
UPDATE: if you whant iphone emojis v3 you will have two files on emojisets folder, just replace the 60mb emojis with NotoColorEmoji.ttf and the 20mb emojis with SamsungColorEmoji.ttf
For other phones ( not samsung )
i really dont know but i guess it have to say emoji in the fonts folder and it suposed to be the last 2 files on the font folder since we sort it by size.
feel free to post the fonts and device you have so i or others could help you

here but u did sign up just to personally thank you. As I updated to 6.01 I noticed emoji switcher wasn't working. I absolutely hate the Android Samsung emoji. I followed your tutorial and it's very n00b friendly. I just wanted to say thanks for helping me out man. I would never personally thank someone by signing up to a site I don't use. Well done and can someone sticky this, it deserves recognition and is a major help to the Android community.

I really don't know; but, I guess it have to say something along the lines of ColorEmoji.ttf in the fonts folder and you can replace that .ttf file with the one you downloaded
Please feel free to post the fonts and device you have, so I, or others could help you.
Can you post your original NotoColorEmoji.ttf from HTC?

[Guide] Enable New Google Assistant on any Android 10 Based Custom ROM

Let's get started.
This Guide has been tested in Evolution-X, AncientOS, BlissROM, and Pixel Experience.
This Guide has been tested for Zenfone 5Z and not other devices, feel free to comment if this guide worked for your device.
Make sure you have Magisk installed.
The Guide
Flash the Pixel4XL Prop Magisk Module i've attached.
Reboot your device.
If prompted to download additional resources, install [url]https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fTymlp9KaeTinK2D_UqAJUmaGwexeEz-/view[/URL] and then press Download
Make sure GAssistant 2.0 is working by simply swipe from the corner and then speak some words, Google should response your words.
Once it's working, open the GEL.GSAPrefs.xml file i've attached and replace "[email protected]" in "name="GSAPrefs.google_account">[email protected]</string>"",
Save the .xml, and then copy it.
Navigate to /data/data/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/shared_prefs
Make a backup of the original GEL.GSAPrefs.xml if you want, and then replace it with the new one.
Change the "shared_prefs" folder permission (Not the XML) to 551 ( dr-xr-x--x )
Once done, force close the Google App.
Enjoy! OwO
