hello guys , today I will tell you how to add navigation buttons on your android phone
-OK-
First you need to have Root Access
then download Root Explorer , and open it and change the line from R-W to R-O
Good now open SYSTEM and hold your finger on build.prop :fingers-crossed: and chose <<Text Editor>> swipe downl and down and down :cyclops: and write : qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 then restart your phone ..
.-. Note : Build.Prop is the build.prop file is your android handset’s ‘ID card’. It tells applications the specifications of your device, so that apps can change their interface or function for your specific device. Editing the build.prop file is most commonly used for changing LCD density, build number and your device’s model or manufacturer. Changing your ‘fingerprint’, model or manufacturer can trick some apps in the market to become compatible with your device.

What I loved at HTC Sense was that webkit was hardware accelerated. On cm gerrit there was a patch (not merged) which enables hardware accelerated webkit on desire hd. So i compiled Cyanogenmod with this patch by myself.
I've forgot to set debug.sf.hw=1 in build.prop before signing:
after installing this rom please make the following steps:
Download ES File Explorer from the Android Market
Go to settings and scroll down and enable Root-Explorer and mount / and / system with write permission (don't know exactly how this option is called in english versions of ES File Explorer)
then go out of settings and touch the star in the left upper edge and select phone
open folder system and then open the file build.prop ES edit note
and then write at end in a new line "debug.sf.hw=1" (without the quotes) and the menu and safe
then reboot twice

Note: GAPPS are not included
Has anyone tried this yet? Also it'd be much easier to edit the .prop file with prop editor from the market.

I'm curious to know if you will continue to merge the new code and possibly update with a new build?
hello everyone,
please pardon my english.
i have a android tv box device. It s rooted and running quite good but i want to do some modifications on that device like removing any picture during boot, hiding status bar etc. ive achieved some of those but i have still some unanswered questions about the device and main concepts of android system.
first of all
i want to make permenant changes on init.rc file. When I edit that file on rooted device, it gets overwritten to default values when system reboots. The system also overwrites some files like initlogo.1080i.rle on / (root) directory.
Is it possible to prevent this behavior of the rom from android operating system / or from any other domain?
Is it possible to create a rom zip file with mine init.rc and *.rle files , and install it from recovery?
Also I want to start my own application coded by me to run on boot before the SystemUI OR I want to the SystemUI starts hidden and then my own application will run. But in all situations I don't want to be showed up android's UI.
Is it possible to hide navigation layout (bar) by adding a start-up parameter to the SystemUI's launch command which is placed in the init.rc file?
Thanks for your help.
To change lcd density of any android phone
requirement-
Rooted Phone
Any root accessible file explorer
I suggest Root Browser
Now open File Explorer
go to root
now select system and scroll down, you will found an file named build.prop
open it by choosing like rb text editor
now scroll down and search for a line
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
240 is normal
if you want to change then relace 240 by your choice like 210, 220, 200
if there is no such line then add your self
Dont edit another build properties unless you know about it
Now after saving file
Reboot you phone and you will see that your dpi is changed
Thanks If i helped
It is my first post

sorry for my bad english
I am with the same problem here : (
Does someone here can help us?
I believe that's not possible! But, one thing you can do is to change the dpi!!! But, that changes the size of everything! You can try it out!
1. Open Root Explorer.
2. Go to /system
3. Click on Mount RW (It should appear as Mount RO, that’s when it is correct!)
4. Look for build.prop. Long press on the file and press Open file in Editor
5. Scroll down to ro.sf.lcd_density
6. Change the value. The lower the value, the higher density your screen will have.
7. Click on the Menu button, and Save and Exit.
8. Reboot.:highfive:
Install the xposed mod and then install gravity box in it
Hi! Friends...
I wanted the attractive navbar which the nexus (along with many other) devices had, and therefore did a little research.
Successfully tested on : Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500G)
Note : I am not responsible if you did something wrong and ended up bricking your phone.
To start, you need your phone to be rooted, and a root explorer...
This works fine. LINK :-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer&hl=en
Then open the explorer ,of course.
Next, navigate to /system/. There, you will find your build.prop
Open it in text editor.
Navigate to the bottom and type in the following - qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save the file and exit.
Reboot your system and YAY! You are done. Enjoy your Navbar. :good:
