this is very easy to fix fortunately you have not hard bricked LOL now follow my steps....
step1. download your required firmware package from the development section.
step2. download the odinv1.8 and then unzip and install to desktop
step3. open odin and select PDA and load the unzipped firmware file. (do not touch anything else at all)
step4. power on the device with volume button down and power on (download mode)
step5. plug in to pc via USB 2.0 as this has less chance of failing then press start on odin it will push the firmware on to the device and them reboot
step6. sit back and enjoy lol.
thank me if it helps.

Thanks Bro!! It worked!!
soft brick galaxy tab 7.0 plus
I have the same problem as described by kaizasoshi on a GT-P6210 (WIFI only model) and can get to download mode. I haven't been able to find a copy of Odin 1.8 to download so I have Odin 4.0.3 - hopefully that'll work. The megaupload link for Odin 1.8 gives you software Odin 1.8.2 which turns out to be some sort of MRI operating software.
I used the link provided in the response for the GT-P6200 model, did a search, and I can't find the firmware file for the P6210 anywhere on the site. I found a file elsewhere on XDA supposedly is the firmware file for my model P6210 and when adding to PDA I get an error "Invalid Image File Type" The file name that I found is named GT-P6210_XAR_P6210UEKL1_P6210XARKL1_P6210UEKL1\P6210XARKL1_P6210UEKL1_HOME.tar.md5
Does this sound right? Does anyone have any guidance for me (besides stop bricking my Tab)? Thanks
soft brick galaxy tab 7.0 plus - continued
Well I found a version of Odin 1.8 and it took the tar file without an error message. I started flashing the file to my P6210 and it went well for a couple of minutes (about half a green bar in the first block). Then something went wrong and ODIN started alternating the below messages:
<ID:0/004>Added!!
<ID:0/004>Removed!!
<ID:0/004>Added!!
<ID:0/004>Removed!!
And while showing the above, the P6210 screen started alternating between a black screen and the below message:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.
Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I watched this continue for over an hour in this loop (no progress on the green bar), then disconnected and reconnected the P6210. I launched Kies and tried troubleshooting but just got the alternating screen again on the P6210 and starts and stops of Kies troubleshooting. It looks like it's pretty hosed. Any suggestions?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
As an aside, the only thing I've done to the tablet was do a one step root about 3 months ago and I think two product updates afterwards (reapplied the root after each). The tablet ran OK but I started getting the auto shutdowns other have gotten, along with several instances of a warm battery and high battery rates of consumption. It didn't behave this way all the time. Finally two days ago, while on the charge,r I found it locked into the Tab startup screen. I could get it to boot into recovery but kept getting lots of red error messages, like it was looking for files that weren't there, then I'd reboot and it would go back to the locked startup screen.
Can you get into recovery by holding up and power on (release power after it boots, but hold volume up)
Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
Yes I can get to recovery now. Since my previous post, I recharged unit overnight and attempted to reflash OS. This time, Odin runs all the way until the first green box says PASS! Odin Message box says <OSM> All threads completed (succeed 1/failed 0). Then message box cycles thru ID 0/004 Removed ID 0/005 added!! then ID 0/005 Removed!!, then ID 0/005 Added!!
At this point Odin doesn't do anything else. The P6210 then starts giving a bunch of failed messages - failed to mount cache(no such file or directory), Can't mount /cache/recovery/command, then goes into Manual Mode then message failed to mount /efs (no such file or directory) install application for customer: Can't mount /efs copy application failed. Then meesage Applying multi CSC then failed to mount /efs, then multi_csc can't mount/efs
Then multi-csc applied failed.then more messages on failing to mount cache can't mount cache recovery log/last log
Then at this point the top of the screen offers rebot/apply update from sd/wipe data-factory reset/wipe cache partition. Through all of this I have not unplugged the P6210 from the PC.
I select reboot system now and press power button (still connected)
Get a bunch more messages about cant open cache recovery log. Then it goes to the Samsung Galaxy tab screen and just hangs.
It seems there's some files missing that is causing the unit to hang.
added/removed sounds like could be faulty wire connection.
which firmware are you trying to flash may we ask?
May be useful to find a .pit file with stock firmware, if there are any around for your device.

I've also tried changing the usb/samsung cable from aftermarket to OEM and changing USB port used on PC. Reflashed PDA file, No change. The reflash appears to complete but is followed by the error messages identified previously. The file I'm attempting to flash w/Odin 1.85 is named P6210XARKL1_P6210UEKL1_HOME.tar.md5. The file is 894.011 MB. I've downloaded it twice and no difference in flash result. I'm not having any luck finding a PIT file for the P6210.
Still looking for PIT file.

May I ask what you did to soft brick? Be good learning experience for everyone. Thanks.
soft brick galaxy tab 7.0 plus - continued
I've also found these 3 other files associated with the P6210. They are:
GT-P6210-MULTI-CSC-OXEKK1_RST.tar.md5
P6210_APBOOT_P6210XXKL2_CL583761_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
P6210_CODE_P6210XXKL2_CL583761_REV02_user_low_ship_16G.tar.md5
Would loading these files via Odin possibly help with my problem? I'm not sure which files would be loaded for the different parameters (PIT, BOOTLOADER, etc). It appears the CSC file would be loaded for CSC.
PS: I don't know what happened with kaizasoshi as far as how his TAB problem initiated, but mine had been experiencing SOD, auto shutdowns and warm battery when plugged into charger over night for the previous several weeks. I picked it up one morning off the charger and the P6210 was frozen on the startup screen and wouldn't finish boot or shut down. It would go into recovery using the power and volume switches.
hi all, i have the same similar problem as TS but mine's a P6200 tab, heard that i need a pit file & the firmware ver(singapore) to flash it...
where do i get those files including odin? i got the firmware via sammobile.com, but no idea to get the pit & odin files,... will any kind souls direct me to them?
I found a PIT file a few days ago, supposedly for the P6200 using Google. I don't know if it works or not. I have a P6210, so I don't think I can use a P6200 PIT.
PIT Link:

ODIN Link:

Pick a version. 1.81 and 1.85 seem popular.
any new updates on this? im having the exact same problem and have tried all the previously mentioned files through Odin with no positive results. any help would be appreciated. i have a US version 6210
yeah.. dont flash a tab plus firmware unless you're sure its for your specific model
either T869-Tmobile/WifiGT-P6210/or G version GT-P6200. If youve flashed the previously mention files, you've probably done some serious damage.
Best option now: Find a device specific firmware WITH a .pit file, flash with Odin/Heimdall with fngers crossed.
Other options: tell them you hooked it up to iTunes to sync your media.. lololol
hope you get warrantied..

Hi all,
my friend gave me this galaxy SL i9003 phone to be fixed.
it was not even turning on
it had a bad power ic which my mobile guy fixed and now the phone is able to turn on
but it is stuck at black screen after the samsung logo
i can boot into download mode but not into recovery mode
i have tried flashing using odin in the following manner
I9003XXKP7
using the all the 4 files selected and the latona pit file
no success
flashing just the pit file first and then the 4 files separately
no success
flashing above firmware and then flashing I9003DDMF1
no success
i tried flashing bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA to get CWM on the phone but still cant boot into recovery.
this is where i stand currently....after some forum readings, they are suggestive that the internal memory chip may be corrupt or gone bad
Please advise
Hi mate, why do you start from xxkp7? Try with xxkpe or ddlf2.

DDLF2:

still cant boot into recovery...get a black screen
only difference now is that it is stuck at initial samsung boot screen
Aww...these aren't good news...
The only thing I can ask you is if, before flashing the 5 files, you have checked and marked re-partition,auto reboot and f.reset time, and put the right files in the right place.
You can make a last attemp flashing ddlf2, following the guide in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200 , it has always worked fine for me, otherwise consider to bring the phone to samsung service... cheers
still the same
So sad reading this... I don't know about other methods to bring the phone to life... So sorry man... :crying:
hi friend,
i not saying that you dont know how to flash, i just want to know how you flash the firmware.
it just if something is not right, than we can point it out.
so, can you list out the detail as possible how you flash the XXKPE.

well this isn't my first attempt at flashing
i used to have a galaxy spica earlier...rooted and on CM...and now currently galaxy note N7000 running AOKP 4.2.2
regarding the galaxy SL i9003, steps are quite standard for all samsung phones.
Run Odin3 v1.85.
Check Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
Put your phone into download mode: Press Volume down + OK + Power.
Connect USB cable and the program will detect the phone's Com number.
Click PIT button and select this file: latona_20110114.pit
Click BootLoader and select this file: APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar.md5

Click PHONE button and select this file: MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar.md5
Click CSC button and select this file: GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar
Click Start button to flash these files to phone.
Do not touch anything till you see PASS on the program window.
Done....have tried without pit file also but still the same
your procedure is correct.. I think your internal memory might have got corrupt. go to the service center any replace it. no other way rather then this.

so, if your try use the same PC USB port and same cable to flash others samsung phone it can went though, than the phone very high changes is the problem.
yes, i can flash other phones fine with the same cable and usb port.
i also think the problem is with the internal memory. cant go to service center as the phone is almost 2 years old now. even if i go for paid services, they will ask to replace the motherboard as i dont think they can fix it.
was wondering if I can get the flash memory ship soldered from another broken dead motherboard, will it do the magic or not. need some expert advice.
nobody has any other pointers ???

<GUIDE><TOOLS> Verizon S6 Stock Restore Files<ODIN><SmartSwitch>
I will not be updating this thread any further. I no longer own the device.
Here is a link to the stock Verizon tar file to flash in download mode via Odin. I will add more files as they become available. Use this to return to factory stock if a factory reset dose not solve any problems you may have with your retail Verizon S6. If you find these files useful and download them please hit the thanks button. Do not copy these files and repost them, make a link to this thread instead. If I missed anything in the instructions please let me know and I will update the OP. Thanks and enjoy.
Install Instructions1: Download Odin and Verizon S6 Retail Tar from the links below. Then extract the Odin.zip file ..
2: Run Odin and pick the AP button then navigate to where you saved the file you want to flash and chose that file. Let Odin verify the file.
3: Turn off your phone and enter download mode by holding the home, volume down and the power buttons until the enter download mode screen appears. Then enter download mode by letting go of the buttons and then press the volume up key.
4: Now you should be in download mode, connect your phone to your PC now. Odin should say connected in the message box, if not you need to install your Samsung phone drivers.
5: After connecting your phone and loading the tar file select the Start button and let Odin do it's job. This will take about 5 to to 10 minutes to complete. Please be patient and do not disconnect your phone until the phone reboots and the word Pass appears in the upper left corner of Odin.
6: That's it, you should now be in the phone setup screen with the words Pass in Odin if all went well.
If you get stuck in a bootloop after flashing a tar file don't panic. Enter the maintenance menu by holding the volume down, home and power keys for about 10 seconds. Then clear cache and factory data reset.
Firmware Flashing
1: Using flashfire wipe and then flash the ROM you are switching to that is of a different build. OE2 to OC3 for an example. You wikll most likely get stuck at the Samsung lockscreen when the phone reboots.
2: Don't panic just reboot into download mode and flash the proper firmware with Odin by holding down the home, volume down and power buttons for about 10 seconds. Select reboot and use the same button combo to enter download mode.

No, we can not do that without root. If the stock image is modified in any way it breaks the signature and fails to boot. Thank the locked bootloader and Verizon for that but we can disable the apps witch is nearly as good.

Good to see you around too. I got the g920v. I ditched my DevEd Note 4 for the rootless S6 because I like it that much. The hardware is pretty amazing. Plus I wanted to step away from ROM building for a while with all that has been going on with life. It's way too time consuming. I will probably get back into it some day but for now these tar threads are a good way for me to give back to the community.

Is there any way to do this on a macbook?
Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, and I know there've been similar posts before, but I'm completely new to all of this. I tried to flash my phone but it didn't work, and now it seems I've bricked it. I can get onto the Samsung splash screen, and I can get to the odin screen by holding power home and vol down. I'm trying to use odin v3.10.7 to flash a stock 5.1.1 firmware I got from sammobile but it keeps failing right at the very end. I'm not sure what to do. I have a SM-G920F, from the UK on EE (T-mobile/Orange). If anyone could help me I'd be really greatful.
Flash BTU firmware, your hidden.img is probably what is failing because you need a pit file. Download the BTU, it is unbranded UK firmware.

Turn off your phone, and then turn it on pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power button at the same time until you see a warning. Then press Volume Up to continue, and navigate using volume keys and select wipe cache/factory reset with the Home button, then reboot.
Please note that by doing this all your data will be lost.

Go into recovery (Volume UP, Home Button and Power button) keep pressing them until you get the blue writing saying 'RECOVERY'.
Then go and wipe everything (factory reset), also clear cache if you want to. Then press reboot now. Then it should work

Just done this and its still doing what its just been doing :/
What do you mean by a boot cycle, try and re-flash but this time ticking the delete all option in Odin. After it re-flashes, try and see if it does anything unusual before it starts to go to the 'Samsung' boot animation. After about 5 mins, if it doesn't boot, then go into recovery and do a factory reset. If all that doesn't work, i'll help you flash a PIT file, to get your EE Branded Stock ROM working.
And don't worry, this all happened to me.

So when I turn it on I get the Samsung boot logo, but then it just goes black unless I hold the power button, then it'll boot into the logo again, but that's about as far as I can get it. While its trying to boot the LED is blue (not sure if that matters or not). Just reflashing with erase everything. Thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it.
It passed Odin. Then it boot into recovery

No problem, and just a heads up, if this doesn't work than do this:
Download THIS PIT file. Go into your PIT section on your ODIN, than open this file. Then WITH the PIT file, make sure you load up your EE Branded Firmware. Make sure re-partion is checked as that is the PIT file
If from there it still fails, than flash THIS PIT file, then do the steps again. The reason I am asking you to flash 2 PIT files, is that I had this EXACT problem, and one of these PIT files saved me, but I don't know which one :/
Good Luck!!

Thank you I think the EE firmware was the one that was failing yesterday. Does that matter?

If the BTU firmware works, than forget the EE firmware. (Try to factory reset if it still does not boot)
If not then do the steps above. (And no, the PIT file fixes the EE Firmware)
By the way, be warned when using the PIT file, make sure re-partion is checked WHEN you put in your PIT file.

Doesn't seem to be working.. First PIT seems to have fixed VIR (ee) firmware, but still not fully booting for whatever reason.

Thats weird... Could you try to get a video or a series of pictures, with one for every event that happens when the phone boots. And is your KNOX tripped? If you don't know about it, you probably haven't rooted anytime.

Yeah my KNOX is tripped. Do I have to unlock a bootloader or anything? When I originally tried to put new firmware on it, I just connected it to ODIN and uploaded the new firmware into CP and pressed start, didn't do anything else. Yeah I'll try to get a video but it might have to be tomorrow that I send you it. Do you want it in an email?

Just managed to do a quick crappy video with the laptop webcam, basically just a black screen and then it boots into the splash page but thats about it. Repeats every minute or so. https://youtu.be/1YvYUWpmALc

Since you have your KNOX tripped, try to flash TWRP and click the little button in the bottom middle, it will bring like a log, if you see any writing thats RED and says something like 'Unable to mount ....' than you might be in a bigger problem (for me the problem was fixed by flashing a PIT file). BUT if it doesn't say that, just click wipe then factory reset, than reboot. If it says 'No OS Installed' than you probably flashed the files incorrectly, but it shouldn't really say that.
I don't mind if you want to send a video to my email, if you want you can just show pictures, it'll probably be easier.
Good luck
My Galaxy was stuck in a boot loop, would load up O/S then when I get to the Android part of my O/S it would freeze on PIN code entry then constantly fail on reboot. I'd have to let the battery flatten before I tried again. I figured I couldn't get anywhere so I'd replace the factory rom. Recovery mode is intermittently working, either it works first time or gets stuck in a boot loop again.
For reference I used the following file to replace the stock ROM in ODIN (I didn't choose re-partition)
AP_G930FXXU1DQAN_CL10305131_QB12238018_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar
The phone is completely stock by the way. No root. Has USB debugging enabled
Samsung S7 (Unlocked to all networks, I'm on the GiffGaff network if it matters)
UK Network
SM-G930F is the code on the back of the phone
Currently I can do following since replacing the stock ROM with the rom listed above
- Access recovery mode using the key presses - but gives "No Command". I can't get back through button presses
> I've tried VolUp/VolDown, Power - VolUp - VolDown, Power - Volup, Home, Power - VolUp/Down - Home pretty much all combinations
- I can access Download mode without an issue (Which leads me to believe phone is possible fixable)
Have I completely knackered the phone flashing with the wrong ROM? Or am I missing something?
I'm trying to avoid replacing the bootloader at the moment because I've read it wipes the data, and it's the data I'm trying to get off the phone as it's important. After this I couldn't care less about flashing the phone
Any suggestions please. Help would be greatly appreciated. Or is the phone already FUBAR?
Confirm the model in download mode. Then flash the latest ROM from sammobile.com.
How do I confirm the model in dl mode via Odin or is it written as anothrn name

Download mode just matches the model number on the back of my phone
PRODUC NAME : SM-G930F
Did I use the right rom? It's listed in my first post, or which one is the right one to use?

Thanks . I'll try that . I can't flash boot loader arm because I'm trying to get access to the files on the e phone first. After that I can do a factory reset
If that fails I'll try a jig maybe that will work
I think it's a bit late, but if you flash with CSC and not the HOME_CSC, you will lose your Data.
