Hello friends!! I am new here and going through a serious issue which has not been seen before in Samsung Galaxy S6.
Samsung S6's front screen at the right corner besides the front camera is not properly intact..if you press lightly you'll observe that it is loose and moving... guys i have changed 3 phones from service centre and all are having same issue... even the demo phone at Samsung Showroom is also having same issue... i think it is the manufacturing defect in the phone and all Samsung Galaxy S6 are having same issue... though the phone is working absolutely fine and smooth... I just want to confirm whether you are also having same issue with your phone or not....thanks in advance...!!!
No I have no trouble with screen at all
Ya it moves about 1-2mil. Never noticed that before thanks
Friends please confirm your Samsung S6's screen is having the same issue or not...so that the matter may be brought into the notice of Samsung..!!! Thanks in advance..!!!
Picture plz.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure how this works or if I'm posting in the right place so apologies if I'm not.I have a Samsung Galaxy s4. Im from Ireland so I have the I9505 version.
About a week ago, the screen froze and stopped working. Its not cracked or broken and it wasn't dropped. The LCD lights up but the screen will not respond to touch. Everything works as normal: phone receives calls, texts and emails however I cant access them because I cant use the screen.
I got my friends galaxy s4 and connected his screen to it and it worked perfectly so its definitely the screen at fault. I rang Samsung and they gave me the impression it will be covered under warranty. They are sending me out a padded envelope and I am sending the phone to their authorized repair center in Dublin.
My problem is that when testing my friends screen on the phone, I accidentally removed a small clip that holds the front facing camera and proximity sensor down against the sceeen. I didn't realise until it was gone and I cant find it anywhere.
I am sending the phone to Samsung next week and I fear that they will refuse to fix the phone because they will know there was unauthorized access because this clip is missing.
I looked on eBay for a replacement clip but I cant find one. Does anybody know where I can buy one?
Or do you think Samsung will refuse to fix the screen on account of them knowing the phone has been opened?
I would appreciate any help,
Thanks in advance
Hey guys,
I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S6 for almost 3 months now. However, I've noticed there is now a black smudge showing up on pictures taken through the rear facing camera. It shows up in videos and third party apps like snapchat. It's very annoying and I was wondering what should I do. I don't have insurance on the device so replacing it isn't an optimal solution. Is there any ways I can fix this without having to replace the whole device?
Thanks!
Only if it's dirt on the lens, otherwise it's the warranty replacement route

Okay, thank you very much
Hey what did you end up doing? My s6 has started doing it and I've had it probably about 3 months now too.
It actually went away and no longer was an issue. At least I haven't noticed it anymore. However, I have had focusing problems with my gs6 now. But that's another story
Hello everyone. I don't know if I'm within the rule book while starting this new thread. But after about half an hour of search, I couldn't find an appropriate thread to post my problem. So I thought creating a new thread would help. Sorry again, if I'm breaking any rule.
So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on the 3rd of August. Took it home, set it up, and just out of curiosity, compared it with another Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the family. To my utter shock, I found out that the front facing camera on the newly purchased Edge was not as good as the one on the older ones. It was foggy and a lot whitish. The skin tones were coming out different and the colors looked washed out too. And in a relatively dark room, I felt the new Edge didn't let as much light in as the older ones did. I immediately reported it to the service centre and after a lot of speculations and contemplations and prejudice, it was finally replaced. I got a DOA Certificate issued. I took it to the dealer I got the S6 Edge from and this time decided to go for a Galaxy S6. I set it up, got it updated from the service centre to Android 5.1.1. So now, I have this newly purchased Galaxy S6 and the older Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in the family. I again compared mine with the other two, this time with a bit of apprehension rather than curiosity. Needless to say and shockingly enough, this Galaxy S6 is pretty much like the S6 Edge I got replaced. The Images look darker, skin tone doesn't look fresh, feels like it's not allowing as much light in as it should. Let me mention the fact that the older S6 Edge and S6 have absolutely same front facing cameras. Not even a thin line difference there.
There are conditions where (especially outdoors during daytime) the three front facing cameras perform almost the same. It is when you come indoors that the new S6's camera takes a beating. I don't know what the reason is. All three of them boot the same Android 5.1.1. The Display settings are the same (there's no question of it as I clicked images and put them on my Laptop to compare) and so are the Camera settings. I even reset the new S6 to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the two back-to-back Phones had a problem, if at all it is a problem that is! Or is it that Sammy has started optimizing their front facing cams differently? The S6 Edge was manufactured in May 2015 whereas the replacement S6 got was manufactured in March 2015. No connection whatsoever there. And yes, the display tone on the S6 Edge is slightly warmer. The older S6 has a different display and the newer one is yet again in its own territory.
Will really appreciate any help from any one.
Should I report this to the service centre? Or are there any solutions?
The battery life is ridiculous too, especially after I got it updated to Android 5.1.1.
Thanks again.
Kind regards.

Questions and troubleshooting issues aren't to be posted in the General section, but here:

The mods will move it shortly. Good luck troubleshooting your problem.
Older Galaxy S6s had a different camera module, they used a Sony module.
Newer Galaxy S6 uses a Samsung module.
A lot of people prefer the older Sony cameras.

I think he is talking about the front camera. Its the rear facing camera that has got two modules, The Sony IMX and the Samsung ISOCELL. Regarding the front camera, we still dont have proper information as to which is which.

Samsung does have the habit of going in for different sensors at times. So if there is a difference in two back to back phones, it sure is because of that. It would be of great help if you post your current sensor ID as well as the older ones using any APP like AIDA64. If there is a change in the sensor ID/ Name for front cameras, yes sammy has swapped.

Ok, I'll post the details asap.
But the manufacturing date is the key here, I reckon.
My new S6 is manufactured in Mar. 2015 and has that different Camera. The previously purchased S6 and S6 Edge have been manufactured in the same month too and are doing just fine. The S6 Edge that got replaced was manufactured in May 2015. So not sure about the Lens swapping. Will nevertheless post the details...
Hi guys. I bought this gorgeous phone yesterday. Everything is nice except the display. Right off the bat I can notice the unevenness of some colors. Wondering if there is any Galaxy S7 FLAT users from UAE facing the same problem?
edit: compared with my Galaxy S6 sadly it's not accurate as it is
I think there is an issue with your phone ....... if it is under warranty ...........send it for replacement or repair .

I will definitely try that. Are you from UAE? I want to know whether it's mass issue or just me.
