So I was messing arround with my build.prop ( have a moto maxx xt 1225) to change my phone model number so I could try something with my carrier. Didnt work but I left "Moto G" and "5.1" as my phone model and android version. Today I woke up and had a notification telling me how to activate the flashlight, I first thought that Moto app had been updated but it has not... So I´m wondering if changing my build.prop parameters was what activated that function ( MAYBE SOMEONE HAD DONE IT BEFORE BUT I DONT KNOW)

I got one of these Pressy Button Clone from Gearbest and tried to install the Klick App to work on Moto G phone. Installation of app is fine, and the app lets user define which app to be launched in one click, two click, or three click modes once the device is secured at the earphone plug. The app only gets to the point of confirming whether it's earplug or the device in the microphone jack, but remains unresponsive, i.e., not launching the corresponding app.
Phone is Boost Mobile Moto G flashed to pageplus with Verizon firmware & I did not do any 4.4.4 update (manually disable ota when flashing).
Anything I can do to get it to work?
just got gadget today, not working too.
Sent from my XT1033 using XDA Free mobile app
Well AFAIK the basic requirement to use it with a non xiaomi phone is Android 4.3+ and Bluetooth LE.
Moto G has both so i was thinking of getting it!
If anyone has used it with Moto g or any other phone please revert back!

It works perfectly with my Moto G 2-nd gen / Android 5.
- mi band app is working, alarm, tracking
- call notifications are working
- smart lock is working as well

Does it work with 2013 gen. too? Thanks.
Hi there,
I'm a little bit late but it might help somebody…
Just got the Mi Band (firmware v1.0.9.23) with a Moto G LTE 2014 (stock ROM, 4.4.4). I use the English tweaked version of the Mi Fit app (v1.3.912). Everything seems to be working (activity tracker, vibrate on phone call, sleep tracker and smart alarm clock and notifications).
I don't have the smartlock feature itself (since my phone runs on Kit-Kat) but Motorola has implemented a feature which seems to be equivalent: Trusted Devices (under the Security section of the parameters). It prevents the phone from locking as long as it's paired with a Bluetooth device.
There is a trick to get it to work with the Mi Band though. Once paired with your phone through the Mi Fit, your phone won't be able to see the Mi Band as a Bluetooth device. Open the Mi Fit app, go to Profile → Additional features → BLE Broadcast and turn it on. Now your phone can see the Mi Band as a Bluetooth device and you can set it up as a Trusted Device.
Hope this helps! ^^
So I've had this refurb 1st gen Moto G CDMA from TextNow for around 6 months now.
This morning I went to check my texts and notices that the screen was sitting at the blue motorola pearl.
It would occasionally restart and halt at a black screen after the blue pearl, or restart and the boot animation would be severely corrupted. Sometimes it would make it to Android but it would be incredibly unstable with random services and apps crashing for no apparent reason. I have never tried to root it, flash a custom ROM to it, or anything of the sort.
However, did come with an unlocked bootloader.
The only app I've ever installed to it was Facebook Messenger.
Figuring that the phone was bricked and after reading plenty of tutorials from this forum I decided to flash Cyanogenmod 11 to it (12.1 would not work because the bootloader was an incompatible version) using TWRP.
It worked, well mostly anyway. Upon start up I noticed that it would not connect to my carrier. WiFi works fine, it just won't connect to 3G for anything.
I've read that updating Profile and PRL will fix this but I can't find the option or it doesn't exist.
I feel like I may have missed something or messed up a file somewhere on my phone.
On top of that, com.android.systemui keeps crashing if I let the screen go to sleep.
Does anyone have any idea on how to restore 3G service to a TextNow device and stop systemui from crashing?
Hi,

Does anyone have this combo to confirm it works or doesn't?
I have the 8GB Moto G (2015) and an Android Auto headunit, which was working great with a Nexus 5 until that phone died. When I plug in the Moto G, I get a message saying that the device is not compatible. Having a hard time believing that since it is a new phone running Android 5.1.1 and is pretty close to stock Android.
You can try spoofing the reported device by editing the build.prop.
ro.build.version.release = The build of android the device is running on.
ro.product.model = The device model name.
ro.product.brand = The brand that makes the device. (CAUTION: MUST BE IN ALL LOWERCASE LETTERS)
Try changing them to the same thing a Nexus 5 reports.
Google has just posted a new known issue for Android Auto on their support page:
Android Auto doesn't start on the Moto G. We're working with Motorola on a solution.

Not sure if it was a Google Play Services or Android Auto update, but AA now works with my Moto G 3rd gen (2015). The phone processor/memory may not be up to the task though, it seems quite laggy compared to what I've experienced with the Nexus 5.
I did a search and couldn't find anything. So I'm hoping someone here can help.
I bought a used One 5G UW Ace about a month ago. It's a Verizon branded (locked) phone. I am using a Visible SIM. It's running the stock Moto Android 11 OS.
I DL the Lastpass app and the Authenticator app. I installed both on the phone. Logged into LP and made the phone a trusted device on LP. Here's my problem. I can't get the autofill option to work. The phone keeps turning off the option in the Accessibility setting. Even when I turn it on, the phone doesn't show the LP options to fill or autofill. Also, the Accessibility icon (the little man in the lower right corner of the screen) doesn't respond to touch.
I feel the problem is in the phone and not with LP. I'm lost as what to do. Should I reset the phone or can someone suggest what settings to check and change?
Thanks
I just spoke with a Moto person. I had to delete the storage in the LP app in the phone's settings. It works now.
