You can flash nothing in CM recovery you need a new recovery.
If you're on stock ROM use this method
Download this file HERE.
Extract the the file in your computer and open the cmd in the folder by pressing shift+LMB and write the code:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
important:connect your phone to the computer in fastboot holding the vol+ and connect it.
Now you can press entre you have now CWM recovery .
Boot to recovery and flash CM12 then make a factory reset and boot to system .
If you're using a Lollipop ROM use this method
Just install this app here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/app-recoveries-recovery-installer-t3187914
And give root then flash TWRP .
NOW you can install whatever you want:silly:

ok! but i cant understand "open the cmd in the folder by pressing shift+LMB"! i'm sorry. i'm a biginner! this question may seem so simple! but confusing for me
i can start cmd from the "run" in start button of win7. but it says, "fastboot" command seems meaningless!
I understand the mistake I made. booting started. and give this error:
FAILED <remote: command not allowed>
what is the problem?

Where did you get this error, while flashing?
Edit: if you have problems flashing via fastbooy there's easier method go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320
And download the recovery installer on your computer and install CWM on your phone then you can flash CM12
Important make sure that your bootloader is unlocked

thanks so much. that worked.
after unlocking the bootloader, I used flashtool and flash in fastboot mode, without any error. but when phone rebooted went to cyanogenmod recovery menu! I choose to update via sd! and all thing were going OK. unfortunately, it failed! the error said that "this update is for c2105, c2104, taoshan, but your phone is." It seems it cant recognize my phone is c2105!
why this error ocured, and what should I do!
again thanks for your good solutions.

Or you could rename this thread to 'How to flash RUU zip for X920D'
Does this include stock recovery?
So why do we have 2 threads .. ?? Just confused
Also when I tried fixing the zip, I didnt see any boot image in it.. can someone who has restored confirm that their kernel also actually reverted ?

you dont have to fix the zip file. let the internal RUU flash everything for you including the boot image. as i said never try to fix the zip file even though it saying its corrupted. only RUU will can open the zip file properly. this guide is a step by step procedure. alright? i confirm that this is working. this where the steps i used to revert my butterfly back to stock.

Yes this will revert your butterfly back to stock. and relock your bootloader
I guess this is a sort of side question, but is this the latest current software available for the X920D or is there an OTA available?
EDIT: Also what languages are available in this RUU?

Found solution for this......
Need to relock back the bootloader
1.) On bootloader, type "fastboot oem lock" (I got the message mentioned locked successful or something but end of the process FAILED)
2.) Just don't bother bout the message, ur phone may restarted now.
3.) Boot back to Bootloader (Hold Power + Vol Down)
4.) Follow back all the steps as mentioned on the thread.
Hope this help

Your bootloader is still unlocked. You didn't relock your bootloader. Relock your bootloader using this command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock

[Q] One S without OS after flashing MAXIMUSHD

Hi,
yesteday I tried to flash on my One S the ROM MaximusHD. I followed the guide till it says to use this command "fastboot flash recovery TWRP2.6.1.0.img" becaus the prompt said this "FAILED (remote: 42 custom id check fail". Then I tried to use this command "fastboot flash recovery TWRP2.6.1.0.img" and the prompt said "error: cannot load 'TWRP2.6.1.0.img': Unknown error". Then I reset the phone and now it's stuck in recovery saying it has no OS and when I try to connect it to the PC it says that it has only 48,6 MB of storage, so I can't upload the backup or the ROM. What do I have to do?
Thank you,

So the your s-off and no ROM I guess so you will need to do is
*If you have not got in the new twrp on your phone it will not work the older versions are for the old firmware*
Wipe the whole SD card in twrp
Adb push the ROM over
And reboot
If the old twrp is not work you can try and use the recovery switcher made by flyingrub and change it to the new one

[Q] ADB sideload fails?

I recently rooted and installed Cyanogenmod 11(nightly) on my ls970. CM11 was a little glitchy so I decided to downgrade to CM 10.2... but my dumb*ss forgot to wipe CM 11 before I installed 10.2. needless to say it didn't work. I then did a full wipe(the backup I created didn't work) with TWRP and then tried to sideload Cyangogenmod 10.2.. the sideload fails.. so I thought it was an issue with the ROM..So I got the stock ROM from Google and tried to sideload that. The sideload always starts (on both ROMs) but always ends up failing in the end.. Any help would be appreciated.
I also tried to install stock rom via lgnpst but it does not recognize the phone. And all drivers are installed

Can't go after twrp

Hi,
I have a problem with my r7plusf.
I tried to install lineageOs, with the CM recovery I just got a "zip signature verification" problem. To avoid this problem i flashed TWRP and tried installing it without checking the zip signature. When doing that i got a "table error".
I try to reflash back the rom I had and now I am in trouble :
when i flash it it boots on TWRP instead of the rom.
I tried installing the colorOs recovery and it did not work (I just saw a message telling me "formating data and cache")
/*And now twrp is always telling me "can't mount /data".*/
I resolved this problem by formating the data partition
Does anyone know what i can do to reuse my phone?
Thank you by advance for all the help you could give me.
Little update :
I tried to build lineageOS by hand with this link : https://wiki.lineageos.org/r7plus_build.html to see if there was the cyanogenmod/lineage recovery included but when I try to brunch, I just get this error :
Code:

After looking at the files I just saw that the folder named "obj_arm" does not exists. For info Iam on archlinux whith linux kernel version 4.9.6-1 and I have GCC 6.3.1 .
Does anyone know how to solve this bug or has anyone got the cyanogenmod recovery?
UPDATE : I tried with the cyanogenmod recovery that someone gave to me and it didn't work either, the phone still boots on the recovery. I don't have anymore ideas anymore
Some one oppo forum just gave me the way to save my phone, i just had to boot in fastboot mode, plug the phone in my computer, open a command prompt and type the command "fastboot continue", everything just work fine now.

[need help] asus zc520kl [x00hd] any working rom with twrp

Update/Solved:
Currently the only way for people who deleted their OS completely in this phone model X00HD/ZC520KL is to restore the official firmware.
You can ask for a backup recovery folder in XDA Forums ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...help?nocache=1) if you do not have made a backup with people who have the same phone model. You must have TWRP previously installed and bootloader unlocked. Flashing the official firmware via .zip files is not working with twrp, you must restore the folder. After having the files needed, your recovery folder will not appear on the RESTORE section so follow this simple tutorial to make it appear there (https://youtu.be/trlG3ZxwQxI)
This method will bring your phone back to life if you're stuck in TWRP Recovery Mode with "No OS installed". This method is working and it's the only way for you to use your phone again until developers create custom ROM's for this model.
DEVICE INFO:
ASUS ZENFONE 4 MAX ZC520KL [X00HD]
Please, can anyone reply? I need an answer. Thanks for your time.

Hello, I tried your solution. It did not work. I keep getting Error Number 7 when flashing the ROM. Plus I also tried to delete the assert line in the uptader-script of the ROM you gave me the link after learning from a tutorial how to solve Error Number 7 and after that I got another error: Invalid Zip Format. I don't know what do to more, is this ROM link really compatible with my device? I need urgent help.

Thanks for the attention. I already tried tons of ROM's including the official one for this phone. I keep getting Error Number 7. Sometimes when I force an installation editing the uptader-script file it seems everything is working fine, but at the end of the ROM flash process the phone reboots and goes back to TWRP like everything had never happened. I have never seen a successful feedback, just the "Failed" message or a unexpected reboot that goes back to TWRP.
I don't know what do you mean with unlocking bootloader as I have no ROM installed and always I turn ON my phone I go to TWRP automatically. My TWRP version is 3.1.1.

Not working, as I said before, I've already tried to solve this Error. Either 3 things happen: the installation seems to be running good but at some point the device automatically reboots to it's original condition of TWRP (Liniage OS flash and after editing the file to solve Error Number 7 + I get a message saying "Invalid zip format" (Official Asus Firmware flash after editing the file to solve Error Number 7) + I get Error Number 7.
Backup ROM
Hi, I have the same model and I have TWRP as well. I think I can make backup of my ROM an upload it so you can install it on your phone, would that work for you?

Hello @pantarz, yes, give me your backup ROM you have in your phone, it should work on mine. I'm really thankful to see people like this these days. Just need the .zip file for the ROM. Thanks in advance.

Hi @ANDROIDMASTER67, @pantarz I also break my phone ZC520KL ( X00HD ). It shows "no os installed" and "error 7" when I try to install a ROM.
Can you please help me fix my phone? If there is a backup that I can get please let me know.
Many thanks in advance.
I've managed to fix it by doing the following:
Copy the original recovery from a firmware package.
I could find one in the file https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11050483647474829889, location /Asus_Zenfone_4_Max_ZC520KL_20171225/Firmware/recovery.img
Load default recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery/original-recovery.img
Restart to bootloader
fastboot reboot bootloader
Load flashboot mode
choose the option "update using adb"
ensure that adb can locate devices with
adb devices
load firmware with
adb sideload UL-ASUS_X00HD-WW-14.2016.1805.374-user.zip ( try download from: https://www.beritahuaja.com/2018/11/download-stock-rom-asus-zenfone-4-max-zc520kl.html )
Easy way with only fastboot
1. Get adb and fastboot drivers
2. go to this page h ttps://addrom.com/raw-rom-for-asus-zenfone-4-max-zc520kl/ Dowload the original firware
3. Extract the files inside the your disc C:Adb
4. Go to your celphone and enter in fastboot mode... then conect the celphone to your computer ... then use cmd " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" .. this is for restore the original recovery if you have twrp.. if you dont have it , its no neccesary ..
5. in fastboot mode , go to Inside the firware search flashall_AFT.bat , double clik , wait until finish
6. go to recovery mode wipe/factory reset and tadaaaa! Your Os is restore again :bueno:
