Ok here we go... you want to get rid of Storage problems WITHOUT ANY RISK ? so here is our solution for you
You find the boot.img you will need in second post!
worked out by @Flashing_Expert and me.... thanks him much!
Ok here we go... first you need to grab a Micro-SDCARD... best would be 32GB or larger ... but it depends on you!
THIS ONLY WORKS WITH COMATIBLE ROMS!!!
If your ROM is missing you may request me to do your boot.img (i cant promise i will do)
The faster your Micro-SDcard is, the better will your overall system speed!!!
ok first of all we need 2! Partitions on your SDCard. The first Partition will be your normal Micro-SD storage... the second one will be used as your /data partition (that sounds like link2sd but it isnt!!! )
Follow this Tutorial by @Flashing_Expert
THIS TUTORIAL IS FOR 2GB /DATA PARTITION BUT I RECOMMEND 6 OR EVEN MORE (i have 12GB )
Before anything backup all your data from microsd on your PC!!
You will need some microsd reader into usb
on windows you'll need minitool partition wizard for partitioning
http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
- Now just open Minitool
- Minitool will show you all your harddrives and usb drives including microsd
so be really carefull with what harddrive you working on (you can check it by capacity)
- first you need to delete actual partition on microsd
click with right button on your microsd, select delete and then on Apply button (this step erase partition and all data!! no way back after this)
- let say you have 32Gb microsd and you want create 2Gb partition for link2sd
- click again with right button on microsd (should be now marked as unallocated)
- and select "Create" window will popup
- 32Gb microsd have unformatted 30435Mb capacity (it can vary depending on the manufacturer)
- with simple math you'll get that you can create 28387Mb (30435MB - 2048Mb = 28387Mb) Partition for your data that will be visible as usual
- in "Create as" select Primary
- File system = FAT32
- Cluster size you can leave on default or select manually 32Kb cluster size
- Unallocated space before = 0
- Partition size = 28387Mb
- Unallocated space after = 2048Mb < this will be free space for next partition
- Partition Align to = MB
- Click on OK and click on apply
- congrats your data partition should be now created
- now click with right mouse button on 2Gb unallocated space on your microsd and again select "Create"
- Create as = Primary
- Filesystem = EXT4
- Cluster size = default
- just check partition size it should be 2048Mb
- ok everthing is set up so click on OK button and then again Apply
- your work on PC is done Partitions created so you can put it into phone
- if you want to use f2fs on your 2nd partition, it's now simplier than before, once your partition is created, just flash latest TWRP recovery and here you can change filesystem to f2fs...
in Link2sd on first run just select partition filesystem (in this case EXT4, or f2fs depends on your choice) and then create mount script for this partition after reboot Link2sd should not ask again and that is good sign that everything is ok and you can move/install apps directly on your new partition
tips
- you can use more or less space for your partition (I was used 2Gb as example)
- on windows with minitool you can't create any F2FS partition, so at least for now only way is use eg. ubuntu + gparted with installed f2fs-tools but that is for advanced users (there are more ways, you can run ubuntu via VM, or you can use Ultimate Boot Cd or directly Gparted Live usb/cd...)
- after clean flash is better to format 2Gb partition otherwise there will be old data from old ROM

ok now you got your SDCARD partitioned... The rest is very easy!
1. revert your fotarecovery to stock (if you use my app simply klick on revert to stock )
2. on PC : override the boot.img in your ROM.zip with the boot.img i manipulated for YOUR SPECIFIC ROM
3. get the manipulated zip to your phone
4. flash the manipulated boot.img for your rom and boot into recovery (should be TWRP)
5. do a clean install is important when you doing this first time! format /data to f2fs if your rom is compatible.
6. flash the manipulated rom + gapps
7. reboot
thats all first booting time can be higher then normally depending on your SDCARD !

all OK but reading your guide I see that we have to reinstall the ROM in clean way to use the method...wasnt easyer to simply partition the SD card and than use link2sd without have to reinstall the whole ROM?

well if you want the full use of data2sd by ungaze then the first step is partition your sd card after you do that then i would suggest flashing a your rom fresh and whatever MODs you have after you have flashed all mods and your ROM {please reboot between each MOD} then finally flash ungazes data2sd if you did it right you will have a large performance boost and more space for apps for example i had a 16 gig sd card made 2560 mb partition and now after flashing data2sd i have 1.7 gigs of apps space and a quadrant score of 2300 so if you have questions then PM me

i want flashing void forever :
- partition sdcard ext2+fat32 (is swap have an effect?)
- flash the void forever rom
- flash add on void forever
- reboot(?)
- flashing ungaze data2sd
- reboot
- done
but i have some problem on it
- sometimes bootloop
- i cant instal any apk, the button wont respond
- else, the ext2 partition i created is gone, when i check with titanium backup
i just tried it around 2 days and still have that problem

Hi all,
Currently I'm using CM7 and install ungaze data2sd on my phone. I already have ext2 file and my phone shows additional internal memory. I then install apps without any problem and once done, I try to reboot it. However, I found that those apps which installed earlier on were gone. Can anyone help me with this?
Addition, when I check the sd card, I found an d2sd folder and inside it have unknown files named error_0222120031, error_0222120039, error_0222120122 and error_0222120143. Can anyone help me with this?

you need a freshly installed rom... do a full wipe then flash a custom rom and then flash this ungaze data2sd mod but i recommend you to use app2sd mod by darktremor that is quite stable and very easy to use

I disagree ..
My suggestions -
1) use ungaze v5 (not v2)
2) wipe dalvick cache before flashing it..
It doesn't matter whether it's Fresh rom or not..
I have used ungaze with having more than 120mb worth apps previously

ungaze script is not stable have alot of bugs.. and i have approx 746mb of apps installed which is stored on sd-ext and my internal memory used is only 63mb using dt script.. no issues with dt script

V5?? How to find version 5 of Ungaze?? Do you have the link?? Because currently I'm using the v4b5.
Please help me in this issue !
i installed ungaze script to increase internal memory 190MB to 0.89GB
it worked fine.
After every reboot the internal memory get back to default state.
as stated in trouble shooting i removed my sd in recovery mode and mounted sd ext by reinserting the sd and it works like charm.
but it cant be done in normal system reboot. so anybody please help me in this issue.

First of all,i am really happy to announce (for those who came across with my desperate threads trying to solve my battery drain over 3G network issue) that flashing XXJPU Rom + Removing the partitions (swap + external extra storage) of my SD Card solved my problem. Battery is not draining anymore,and everything is working just fine with the stock rom.
The question is : Can i partition my SD Card again (to add internal storage,since i´ve came across the damn "Internal Storage is Nearly Full" message) ?
If yes,will i have to reflash the rom or , do anything else then just creating the partition using the Minitool software ?

I have o only one big partition used to store normal content. I need to make a new one to use as a extra internal storage space.. So i do need to partition it, all i need to know is if it will work and if i will have to do something else after partitioning it

If you create a partition on your SD Card as EXT2 ( i guess its EXT2 ) ,your OS will use it as internal storage.
Doing this,will solve the low internal storage issue.
I Just dont know if it works on stock roms,it does work on Kyrillos, inDroid, Sumee etc.
@OP i though u already had one partition when you said partition again
if your sd is as it is(just one partition)
then do this
flash g3mod
reboot into recovery
and partition
its the fastest way to get a partitio
then you can use an app2sd/data2sd script (system/etc/init.d)
Or if you have a card reader
use minitool/gparted to partition
shrink the existing one and make a new partiton(ext4)
and yea backup ur data, just in case!

Hmm.
ext4 would be a bit better but ext2 is also ok
now keep an a2sd script in /system/etc/init.d
there is a thread in dev section by kyrillos with the script and instructions, use it
or flash a custom rom which already has it
and yes you need a kernel with init.d support, but every custom kernel has that feature(cf-root,fugumod,g3mod,simplicity,etc.)

use a custom room like indroid, kyrillos etc & enjoy after partition, set the restore location as "internal" in the titanium setting before restoring apps

hey its wierd..i made a secondary FAT32 partition using minitools and then flash v2 n try to link my secondary drive but wenever i choose fat32 its shows error then i noticed that this rom automatically changes fat32 to ext3 wenever i insert sd card though i was able to mount my ext3 using link2sd but wen i link dalvik-cache it shows no dalvik-cache..!!
how's dat possible....is it something wrong with rom??

and your secondary partition should be ext2/3, not fat32...

Het guys please becarefull about the partition thing..
Because its very risky and you better have backup of your sdcard ane save that backups at your PC or notebook..
Some of my friends has been loosing all of his data because of it.
When u first time partitioning sd card, it will remove all your sd card stuff ofcourse. Just put it on desktop and move back when partition is done.

Enter Recovery Mode by holding POWER + HOME;
With the Volume Down key (-) and High Volume (+) and navigate to the HOME key Select "advanced";
Select "partition SD Card"
In the next window you should choose the partition size.
If you have a 2GB card to advise you put 512mb 1024mb,
If you have a card with 4GB or 8GB advise putting 2048mb.
And finally select the size of the swap partition for extra memory.

enter the Market and install the program Links2SD
to open the program you should choose ext3 and press ok> then superuser permission> and after that restart your phone.
Now press the Options button to display the sub-menu of the program

I wouldn't recommend swapper...
long story short, it'll start affecting performance...and do more bad than good...
swap partition is basically virtual ram...but the problem with this is, our phones ram is fast, while even the best of sd cards can't match that...
so you may get better performance initially, but soon you'll regret having a swap partition...
can ne1 pls hlp to s-off the explorer ? device is already rooted and running cm10.wanna create a partition for increasin the internal memory

3. Instal link2sd app from playstore.
4. Select Fat32

For this you don't need s-off (which anyway you can't do). Just use recovery (you already have that) and create partition. If you are using cwm, in advanced menu there is option 'repartition sd card', just follow the steps, and remember this will erase all your info from the sd, so it's better to back that up. Also you can create partition using pc with "mini tool partition wizard" google it. Another thing don't make ext partition bigger than 2GB and don't create swap partition.

Edit: @Saumitra Yadav- damn you are fast , but what you explayned is........ why create another partition, sd card is already fat partitioned? (Maybe I'm wrong but I think link2sd also works with ext)

Using cwm the partition created is ext3 which cannot be mounted on stock Rom .. so create a Fat32 using minitool partition wizard

first time in your post, I saw op's cm10, and forgot that possibility that actually stock rom doesn't support ext.
There was very long time ago when my phone haded stock rom.
already tried creating it...get an error saying that mount script cannot be created.

Some HTC devices are "NAND locked". On "NAND locked" (or "S-ON") devices the /system partition is write-protected by the bootloader and thus cannot be modified even if you have root privileges.
In order to use Link2SD you need to do "S-OFF" to disable this NAND lock. (a.k.a. "NAND unlock" or "unlocking the bootloader")

created a partion usin the cwm method u specified ( thnks 4 that ) bt still not able to mount the 2nd partion...link2sd shows the same error
ok so i flashed my rom...the partition mounts and works on jaggyrom...bt dosent mount on cm10

Its not your fault. What i can understand, is that the CM10 rom you are using, most probably doesnt support MEM Script.... You need a ROM that has init.d and Busybox support... Check if it has or not!!!

culdnt S-OFF but using the mount 2 sd memory script...works on all 4.1.2 roms ( 4.2.2 roms dont support memory scripts).heres the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387
I Have 2gb mmc in my mobile and created 1gb partition from CWM 2.0.6.9 but the problem is the partition is not seen setting > apps and phone memory . It Shows 78mb is fulled and 80 mb free . i have used partition software it shows ext 3 partition . please help me what should i do . i am totally noob

try to create a partition using pc and create a ext4..
delete the present and create a new one.

Are you using any memory increasing script or any overclock kernel?
dude,which rom you use? i flashed a lot roms these days. using mounts2sd. set "driver" in the options to ext3 and reboot (be sure you installed the startup script in the application settings!)
and check the rest of the settings... learning by doing

if you are using htc sense build 9 then no need of any memory increasing script..
for partition:
use any partition wizard..
connect mmc using card reader and open the software on pc
see the drive of your card.
select the that drive and delete it..
now after delete click on that.
create new partition with ext4 driver
format it.
remaining one click on create partition fat32 and format.
