Partitioning Problem (Please help)

Hi there first of all sorry for my wrong section and double post but in general forum nobody helped me.
My problem is:i partitionate my 4gb sd card via cwm recovery(512 ext-256swap).
Format cache partiotions.(cwm)
Format sd card.(cwm)
After that i create a fs.data2sd with mmcblk0p2 insde in sdcard/android/data/g3mod.
I install link2sd application but when i start it it tell me that my ext is not mounter.
In Cwm recovery when i press mount sd-ext it gave me an error(i think is:``the file exists already`` or something like this).
In settings/storage my phone tell me i have a 3gb card...so i think partition is done succefully..
So can someone explain what i need to do further.

edit:now my sd card is stucked at 3gb how can i extend it back to 4gb?

use the general or the Q&A(this is a stiky)

Just unmount your card from SdCard and Internal space menu and then format it.
or else you can also format it from CWM recovery.

i format card but it show 3gb

This is to format ur sd card to get the 3.6.....gb space back...
unmount it and then format it, or else format it using CWM.

k i managed to have back 3.6 gb now how can i use data2sd?I think i need to repartitionate.
one more question:can i partition with MiniTool partition wizard(via windows) with usb ?(i don`t have card reader)

First of all Mini partition is basically used to convert partition...
I'll tell you my way by which I create partition.
1. Boot into Recovery->advanced->partition SD card.
2.ext->256, swap-> 128 or 64.
3. Wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache....reboot.
4. phone will take 10 to 15 min.
This trick work on kyrillos 7, if you are on any other ROM like sumee 4 then just cope the fs.convert file in fugumod folder on sd card.
I tested this on both roms....you can check the app2sd partition on titanium back up as well as in internal memory in settings.
That's it man....enjoy.

you will just need CWM nothing else....

On which ROM you are?

Kyrilos 7 Oc and utliamte 1.4 g3mod kernel
I have another problem now:when i connect usb to pc my phone os not recognized
p.s:i press df on terminal emulator and i don`t see any ext or anything like this.

Finaly i connect to pc but i think data2sd is not working...i install titanium and link2sd...in titanim it show me like this:
System ROM:219MB(20.0 MB free)
Internal: 201MB(77.2MB free)
Sd card: 3.31GB(3.31GB free)
in link 2sd it tell me mount script error.
i need to do domething more?
edit:i choose 512 mb for ext

Turn on USB debugging and then mount...
I don't know about df command buddy but you can see your a2sd partition in titanium backup.

I have a file fs.curent in g3mod folder and is like this
ext2
ext4
ext2
i think is converted...but how this help me?cuz in titanium backup i don`t see any a2sd memory..

omg idk why but on my phone nothing work..)
i put in android/data/g3mod fs.data2sd
i restart my phone and now my internal memory it shows 0.00 and in titanium backup i only have system rom and Sd card.
Should i remove fs.data2sd?

No idea..........try fugumod kernel...remove all the files

I try fugumod 2.2 BE oc 1300mhz...but i think not kernel is problem...
Can anyone help me?pls...
edit:nothing changed on fugumod...i don`t see a2sd in titanium!

Dude, ull first have partition your sd card. Then only u can use darktremor apps to sd. To partion your sd card, go to recovery mod>advanced>partition>and then select the size of partition. Atleast 512mb of partition is recommended.
After doing that,reboot ur phone and now a2sd should work without any issues!

IF U WANT DARKTREMOR A2SD TO WORK THEN U HAVE TO PARTITION UR SDCARD.
TO PARTITION FIRST TAKE BACKUP OF UR SDCARD AS IT NEEDS TO FORMAT UR CARD WHICH WILL ERASE ALL UR SD CONTENT.
IN CWM MENU GOTO ADVANCED MENU.
SELECT PARTITION SDCARD.
SELECT SIZE U WISH(512 or above) AND SELECT 62 or above AS SWAP VALUE.
WAIT FOR SOME TIME AND RESTART UR DEVICE....
TO CHECK A2SD WORKING OR NOT GOTO APP DRAWER MENU AND OPEN A2SDGUI APP AND CHECK APPS ARE ON SD IS ENABLED....
if it is active, you can move the Dalvik cache to sd card by selecting the Dalvik cache on SD-EXT and press Move button and reboot phone

hi, i tried all of this as you mentioned...
eventually, this darktremor a2sd stopped my apps from being moved at all and it kept on saying that i don't have enough memory... though i know i should have... any thoughts??

Is it possible to have this swap setup in the stock gingerbread rom (ddkq5)???
Can anybody give a step-by-step tutorial, or maybe just a link, along with a list of all the necessary apps/other stuff that will be needed..??

I run Creed´s ROM 1.5 and there is also Darktremor included.
I thought SD was automatical formatted with ext4 by installing it. So I am a little puzzled to see, that moving to SD does not work as well as swap option.
Could you tell me, what is the matter?^^
Edit: Found out by my own, followed the same steps as mentioned above for FITDroid. Works on Creed´s ROM 1.5 as well. Only Disadvantage I found was it reduces my 8GB SD to 4096MB (couldn´t select higher at CWM) also after moving Dalvik, system boot seems to loop .. had to recover (good I did before )

I wanted to know what actually dalvik cache is and if i clear dalvik the phone gets into startup splash screen loop mode
Also people flashed creed's rom V2.0 I have question is dalvik cache on sd-ext working or not

Also, moving Dalvik Cache to sd-ext should work for all ROMs using App2SD GUI by darktremor.

But in creeds v2.... u cant.... its a bug....

The dalvik cache is moved to sd card ext
when i frist moved through appp2sd gui the mobile got stuck on bootanimation so i went in recovery and reflashed the creed's rom without data reset and the cache was moved to sd card ext dont know why i had to reflash but it worked at last
the problem is now is that i cant activate swapper dont know why it not getting activated

Following the above application I have done things accordingly
but the internal memory is still shown as 178mb and not the 2gb that i have set any idea upon this?

what i did was a little different... first i partitioned by SD card using CWM into
SD-Ext 256 and SWAP 128
then i used app2sd gui to move dalvik cache to sdcard and now i have around 150MB free on "internal memory".
FYI I'm not using SD-Ext as internal memory. to do that you need the "memory hack"
look for that in the development section.

2. And after we create it, what should we do next ?

Boot in recovery mode. Now select "Partition sd card", Next select Partition sd then set swap size= min 64MB(recommended by neko), Set ext-size= As you want and confirm thats it.
But backup your sd card before bpartitioning since it will be formatted during the process.

I use the 8GB SD-Card.
Can you tell me how much the recommended swap size and ext-size ?
I read from many other thread.
There are so many different method that consfusing me.
They talking about the ext2, ext3, ext4.. FAT format. Bla bla bla.
Should i've to notice about it as well in this method ?

I use 768mb ext 4 and 0 mb swap.Partitioned with amonra recovery and then disabled journaling.

I have partitioned 1.9 GB Ext 3 on sdcard 8 gb, is that ok for icysnap 1.6? (I'm FINALLY getting my phone tomorrow:victory

Just partition sd card frm any recovery nd then switch on ur cell then open terminal emulator in that type su nd then press enter then type d2ext then again type enter.. then it will ask fr reboot required. Then juz restart ur cell.. nd u have done juz check ur storage in settings.. it vil show u increased internal storage... if any question ask me.... i vl definately help u.....

I will try to do this as soon as possible.
Before do this. I don't have to wipe anything on my system, do i ?
And after partitioning i don't have to reflash the rom as weel ?

first of all do a sd card partition, that will wipe sd card so u will loose all data from sd, after this recover your saved data back to sd from where did u saved it, after this do the android terminal comands and reboot, now it is done, noting will happened to system

were u able to get thruogh this
I am getting bootloop after reboot after d2ext .

I Have 2gb mmc in my mobile and created 1gb partition from CWM 2.0.6.9 but the problem is the partition is not seen setting > apps and phone memory . It Shows 78mb is fulled and 80 mb free . i have used partition software it shows ext 3 partition . please help me what should i do . i am totally noob

try to create a partition using pc and create a ext4..
delete the present and create a new one.

Are you using any memory increasing script or any overclock kernel?

dude,which rom you use? i flashed a lot roms these days. using mounts2sd. set "driver" in the options to ext3 and reboot (be sure you installed the startup script in the application settings!)
and check the rest of the settings... learning by doing

if you are using htc sense build 9 then no need of any memory increasing script..
for partition:
use any partition wizard..
connect mmc using card reader and open the software on pc
see the drive of your card.
select the that drive and delete it..
now after delete click on that.
create new partition with ext4 driver
format it.
remaining one click on create partition fat32 and format.
