Hey!
Im wondering does the OTA updating work in this build, or do i nees to uptade it every time manually. It says that "Update of 6.0-20151106-find7op-HOMEMADE not possible" Does it mean theres no update or its not possible to update this way?
thanks

Hey all,
I'm pretty new to this whole rooting and putting on ROMs thing, so I wanted to double check something.
I am running Cyanogen mod 10.2 right now and if I go into settings -> about tablet, it says I can update to nightly builds. If I do this, will it install just like an OTA update or would updating be the same as flashing a new ROM and I would lose everything? Thanks for the help in advance!
Anyone?
You wont loose anything if you will update it this way. BUT ! nightly updates are not really stable
I know the newest update isn't a big deal and it only helps Canadians but I still a. want to update and b. Just know for future updates. I have my phone rooted via saferoot and I tried unrooting and updating and it failed. Tried updating while rooted and failed. I'm running android version 4.3 and VRUCML1. Any help would be apprecaited.

I am having the same issue. I don't really care whether the update is applied or not. I just want the annoyingly persistent update message to go away. It is there every time I turn my phone on. Can the update either be applied somehow, or if not, can it be disabled?
Thanks.
Hey guys, so I really need your help with this.
When I bought my phone it was on Kitkat 4.4.4, after a month, I got the Lollipop 5.0 update via OTA, updated and all ok, then after a while I got the 5.0.1 update, which had this major bug of memory leaking that kept draining battery like crazy.. So I kept searching on how to downgrade to Kitkat 4.4.4 and I followed all those steps to install Kitkat using fastboot/adb tools.. And it worked, I've been running Kitkat now for a week and it's amazing, no memory leak bug, no battery draining.
And just by curiosity, I tried to check the updates, but it says that my system is up to date.. I mean, it doesn't give me the Lollipop 5.0 update nor the 5.0.1.. What's up with that?
Does that mean that I can't update to Lollipop via OTA again? I just need some clarification about this if it is possible Screenshot has other information such as build number, kernel, etc..
PS: I have the CMW custom recovery installed, maybe that's what's stopping the OTA update?
Thanks guys ^^
The update isn't available to everyone all the time...it goes in batches..
Anyway you will eventually get the notification, but you wont be able to install it as you're modified. Anyway, no worries - you know how to do it manually now.

Flash the factory image dude or install that
On my HTC One, there was a way in the secret dialer menu to disable OTA updates. Is that possible my G3? I'm rooted w/TWRP and want to stay that way, but the OTA update notification is always there and once a day the phone reboots itself to apply update. And then I have run FixRecoveryLoop.zip in TWRP and reboot. It's getting irritating. Can I disable the Lollipop OTA notification somewhere in this rooted phone?
Thanks,
Steve
Whoops, too easy.

Well that doesn't work. It's still notifying and downloading the OTA?

If you have the paid version of Titanium backup you can try freezing "Software Update" and "com.lge.lgfota.permission". I know that I never received a download and have not received any notifications about an update.
Hi,
I still can't update my phone to Oxygen OS or CM12 via the updater app (settings -> about -> Updates).
Do any of you know if and when this is going to be possible ?
Thank you,

The updates are pushed in batches and hence some have already got it and some are still waiting. They are adding a new functionality similar to ok google (what I have heard) and hence there is a delay. So please wait until you receive the OTA.
You can flash COS 12 manually though.....
Oxygen will not come as an OTA. You will need to flash it manually.
There are several thread explaining the steps to be followed for manual flashing. Please refer those in case you go for manual flashing.
