Manual Camera controls on any custom rom for our device? - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, is there any rom, may be CM12.1 for our device that has manual camera controls?

I don't think so since Motorola has not implemented the api.

Is it not a software limitation. Cant it be implemented by non stock OS?
If not Can we be hopeful about Motorola implementing it in Marshmallow update?
Or is it impossible at hardware level? Sorry If that was a new noob question..

[Q] Was the Camera always-on problem fixed in custom ROM's already?

Google recently found a problem in 4.4.2 KitKat that whenever a app accessed the camera the process behind it will always stay on, no matter if the camera isn't needed anymore or if the app is closed or not. Only a reboot would be the solution.
As the title suggests, has this been fixed in customs ROM's as PURITY already?

I think nop. That's why some dev also ask google to publy the fix in AOSP source code as it seems to affect more than one device and they want to be able to fix their roms
It won't be fixed in custom Roms until 4.4.3 source is released.

[Q] 4.2.2 original kernel on cyanogenmod 11?

Hi all!
Browsing on the internet, I found that camera quality is better on stock rom than CM11 probably due to "generic" camera drivers instead of proprietary ones. A lack of drivers seems to be the cause of failure of the radio too.
Well, I know that is possible to extract and flash samsung kernel image from original rom, but i was wondering if it would work on CM11.
I don't know very much about this "low level" stuff, is there anyone that could explain me if flashing original samsung kernel on CM11 would work/not work and what kind of problems could it cause?
Thank you in advance!

since there are two separate versions of any kernel, AOSP and TouchWiz, I don't think they're interchangeable. stock kernel wont work on AOSP (CM and such) and AOSP kernel wont work on TouchWiz.

[Completed] A beginner is need of help!

I am new to installing new roms on phones and I am wondering when you install a new rom for example on a sony z3 or samsung note 4 does it affect the great camera performances of the phones since the companies have their own ways of camera processing? I really need the feedback before I start installing new roms Thanks everybody
Hi there,
Those issues mainly depends on the developers of the roms you are flashing!
If you're installing a stock based rom, then your camera should be fine! But if you're flashing an CM/AOSP based rom, your camera might have glitches here and there.
About what device are you talking about?
Thanks

[Q] Vanilla Galaxy S6

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong place, but i just have to ask something. When Android M will be out, because it has fingerprint support too, will some developers be able to built a stable stock android rom for the GS6? Or is it just a dream?
Thanks!
Because Android M has native support for fingerprint you expect somebody to build stock android rom for the S6? The two things don't correlate AT ALL. And yes, there will be some AOSP roms for sure, based on Android M.

How to use Xperia stock camera app and functions on a Project treble Rom?

im just wondering if it is possible to use our stock camera app on a custom rom or on a gsi rom. if yes can you teach me? thanks in advance
I don't think it's because their software is different from kernel vendors etc.
