Hello, tonight I attempted to root my Rogers galaxy s6 and crap hit the fan, I thought it was successful in fact I used odin_3 and it said it did it no problem, but when my phone turned back on from adding the kernel it wont connect to wifi, I've searched high and low for a solution and nothing. I'm getting pretty desperate here all I want now is to bring it back to stock firmware, I probably went way over my tech level trying to do this so any sort of help would be greatly appreciated

Hi all, I am a complete noob and have gotten myself into a big hole.
I was messing around with my galaxy s to root it and install roms, I followed all of the instructions but I think something went wrong in the back up process and had no esf file any where. Now I have a phone that is stuck in flight mode and have been using it as an iPod basically.
I did this about 6 months ago and can't really remember what I did. I don't mind sending it back to Sammy if I need too but would rather not have to pay if I can get away with it. I know messing around with IMEI numbers is highly illegal but any help would be greatly appreciated. If it is of any help to the situation, my gf has a galaxy s as well, don't know if this would be any good to get any files I need but at the same time I am scared to ruin her phone. I know I am an idiot and I promise I will never play around again.
Galaxy S or Galaxy S 4G (SGH-T959V)?
Hi all, proper random but i went out about a month ago now, got in a proper mess and randomly woke up with someones phone in my pocket, its a samsung galaxy s i9000, wasnt sure whether it was a mates or not so announced it on my facebook seeing if they would come forward, but no one has, so i must have found it, im not the type to steel, promise! i have an iphone 4 so ive taken it me being a complete w*nker and taking it from someone as an option. i was thinking may as well try and put it to use rather than just chucking it, its on a 3 network, but its not got sim lock, its phone locked, just asking for a password to get into it, ive spent an hour or so trying to find out if theres a way but havent yet come across a way, if there is one. Help would be appreciated
I have the same phone dude its simple, search threw here (in the i9000 section ,first you'll need to root it with Odin, after you have root go to market and download Samsung galaxy unlock and follow the steps and your done.
*very important once your rooted make a copy of your efs folder(contains your imei number)it can/will change depending on if you flash roms.*
Good luck

I am hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. My wife's phone (Samsung infuse) was hacked. She had been rooted remotely and a program called vold 2.1.1(my revenge) was installed on her phone, and then the phone was unrooted. We had been having problems across the board in our home network for about a month(computer hacked, and my phone Samsung SGH-i697 also hacked). We took both the phones back to at&t (this is when we found out about what had happened with her android) and they gave us new phones. This was yesterday. Tonight she gets a screen that says uninstall root, and the next screen was apps all in Chinese. It says she is tethered to a tablet which we dont have and she never set up to be tethered to anything. What can I do to stop this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so here is my dilemma, I have a AT&T samsung galaxy 6, but I have cricket service if that makes a difference. I have tried several methods to try and root my device but nothing seems to work. I'm getting really frustrated and ready to throw in the towel. Can anyone help me out here I'm at my wit's end. All the info you need should be in the picture, if not just ask.

So I recently rooted my Samsung S8+, G995U (The Box my phone came in says G955USQU1AQC9 and my carrier is ATT), using this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...root-partcyborgrom-aqk3-samfail-odin-t3717702. Everything went well, my phone rooted correctly, no errors. However, I found out that SnapChat doesn't work on rooted devices (rootcloak didnt work, and root switch froze my phone.). Now, I would like to keep texting friends and this one girl through SnapChat, so if anyone could help me revert back, I'd really appreciate it. If you need any other information in order to help me through, please let me know. I'd like to have this done before Saturday, but as long as I can get it fixed it should be fine. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm a noobie to all this, so if you could be a little clearer, than you would normally be, when explaining steps I'd really appreciate it.
P.S.S Idk how to insert images, so here's an imgur link to some other info from About Phone https://imgur.com/gallery/RhHMm
