What is the fastest rom/kernel for the S6? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is the Note 5 rom for the S6 the fastest one? And what kernel would make the S6 have the best ram management etc?
Maybe if you guys have some benchmarks to compare, it would help

XtreStoLite and Arter Kernel is my combination and it works flawlessy. I capped it at 1500/1500 MHz for insane performance and are still having great battery.

You can also take a look at Xileforce's work over at his thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/samsung-galaxy-s-6--s-6-edge-unified-development/kernel-vindicator-t3156281/post63443095#post63443095 Good life and performance so far and he is very active on the kernel with updates and new additions.

MAKO 4.2 and Arters 7.2 kernel work flawlessly for me

I've tried the back-to-n0t3 for and the Arter kernel and it gave me around 70k on the antutu benchmark. Anyone got more?

[Q] Smartbench gpu scores higher on stock than cm7?

Am i the only one that has noticed my score is about 500 points lower for gaming when i'm on CM RC1 compared to Stock 2.3.2?
RC1 gives me a score of about 2600 while stock gives 3k+ while using Smartbench.
I wonder if this is due to the video drivers not being fully up to date or optimized on the CM builds?
I have also noticed that quadrant scores do not seam to be affected whether on CM or Stock. My experience with the N1 was CM helped with performance a lot.
What do you guys think about this? Have you experienced the same?

I normally run at 1.4GHz and get about 3.3-3.4k on the games index. (Just got 3232). I don't really ever run on stock so its hard to say but I can say that I've hit 1800/3700 at 1.6GHz before.

Does Rom Effect on GPU or CPY

Hi All,i m android game developer and currently working on 3D racing game.... so while testing my own game on my Nexus S it lag alot but testing same build on my friend's nexus S it doesn't....
My rom and kernel details are
Rom : JellyShot 3.2
OS : 4.2.2
Kernel : marmite 7.3.1
My friend's Rom details
Rom : Stock non rooted
OS : 4.1.1
Kernel : Stock
So does Rom affects on GPU or CPU...
which Rom will be good for me ???
Thanks

I used to think it was the available memory that had most of the effect on the gaming speed. You could overclock that Rom as well.
The best results I have had for gaming were with kernels and ROM combination that included custom IO control and with a lot of free RAM .. the best example is Metal Dragon Overload...
What about rasBeanJelly i read many Positive reviews about it.... and it has high benchmark score...!!!

Exactly.. Metal Dragon is based on Rasbean but has some other features.. I haven't tested it against rasbean.. or the 4.2.2 rasbean.. I just know it is fast and it is my go-to rom for 3D temple run game speed.. with zero tweaking and zero added apps..

[Q] Governor/Clock speed suggestions for Shaks Zapblaster

Hey all. I'm just looking for some general comments related to the various governors and clock speeds you all use while running Shakatus' Zapblaster on my GT-P5113. Been looking for a good mix of performance and battery life (if such a thing exists) although I kinda lean more towards performance. Any thoughts???
try this

Nexus 5 - how to take the best performance?!

Hello everyone.
I hope there aren't a similar post here.
I wood like to make a "monster" Nexus 5, concerning performance.
So, can somebody tell me about the fastest ROM, the best version of the rom, the best compatible kernel, etc.
I want to see the highest benchmark, and of course the best performance.
I don't care about the version of the ROM (KitKat, Lollipop, etc)
I'm waiting for responses.
Thank you!
Get Marshmallow (Stock or the Xtreme ROM)
Get Elemental X kernel
Switch to F2FS filesystem in recovery (make backups as this wipes)
Overclock
Profit.
For reference:
3D Mark IS Unlimited score: 18672 (stock was in the 15k)
Geekbench (single core): 1040 (stock 800s)
Geekbench (multicore): 2987
AnTuTu: 42k
This is running at 2.8Ghz.
EDIT: I can benchmark all the way up to 2.9Ghz but it becomes unstable in day-to-day use at that point. So keeping it at 2.7 - 2.8Ghz for stability.

Get Racer Kernel
Any Rom will do as long as it is not a DeoDexed Rom
get performance cpu governor, OC to 2.9 GhZ
make I/O scheduler either Sio or Vtripndroid
make read ahead 3072kb
Set cpu governor tunable of up_threshold to 10
Watch your phone have the greatest benchmark scores.. While getting hotter than sexy girls while screen On haha

RAM stays at 50-80%

got a question, i was wondering if there is a problem with my j700M. its ram always stay at 50-80% and if its worth, i'm using a debloated deodexed rom that i got here. before i flashed the rom the same problem persists. any idea?
It's the Samsung rom.
Samsung and the touchwiz interface are notorious for being a ram hog. When the note 3 came out it had 3gb ram. Over 1.5 gb was in use by the rom. The best solution, in my opinion, is to flash a non-samsung rom when it's available. Or even a tweaked kernel.

Even if RAM always at 90% , if you don't face lags then no problem
