Cable data stop working after being used to charge power bank - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
To put it simple:
1. I buy oneplus power bank
2. Charge it with my original opo cable and charger
3. My oneplus didnt recognized as storage when connected to PC yet it is shown in charging state.
What I have tried:
1. enable disable usb debugging
2. select usb connection mode (mtp or charging or pnp) but it is not available
3. Recognized as storage using other cable data which havent been used to charged the power bank.
My question is : is it normal that your data cable will broken as soon as you use it as power bank's charging cable?

Nope, I think that's virtually impossible, have you tried using other cable to connect your phone with the PC?

[Q] USB OTG Does not work anymore

Hello Gents,
I purchased a USB OTG for my 7+ last week, all was working. the USB drives works, mouse works.
But this morning, when I tried to use the same mouse/usb drives. The tab does not seem to recognized the USB, I can see the LED on the USB blinks for a few moment and then turn off. Like it's getting power but then stop.
I tried the following.
1. reboot the tab. power on , power off. No go.
2. reboot from factory default ( yes it drives me nuts, but I did it anyway) Power Volume Up. Factory reset, data wipe. No go.
3. tried a new OTG USB cable, still does not work.
I had the Tab root before, but after the system reset, it gone back to stock firmware. The only thing I can think of is I did the latest Samsung Patch after my initial test.
When I look at the "dmesg"
s5p-ehci: detected XactErr len 0/8 retry
tspdrv: ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AmpEnable (1)
ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AMpDisable...
Does anyone have solution for this problem?
Thank
P.S. these are not the OEM Samsung USB cable. But they were working before.
Also, when I plug in an portable external HDD, it does say, High power device not supported.
hi,,,
try to connect all tools to usb otg hub first before you conect it to GTab. i mean if you want to connect a flash disk or a mouse, connect them to the usb otg hub first before connect it to GTab.
for hdd, you have to connect a power supply to usb otg to make it readable on GTab. i use my old nokia charger to power the usb otg hub device.
hope it help and sorry for my bad english.
dan
edit : i use this device as usb otg hub

I have the same error.
I have the same error but when I reboot my Tab, it's ok, before reboot I do not disconnect USB from my tab!You can try!

[Q] USB Car charging - Different cables/Different results

Firstly, I'm asking on behalf of a friend (saves him signing up) so I don't know all the details
Anyway... I recently gave him a Car USB charger (I had one lying around) which I tested out in my car using my HTC Desire HD....just to make sure it worked...& it did
(not sure but I THINK the cable I use is a standard USB to MicroUSB cable - not sure if it's a 'Data/Charging' or just 'charging' though)
However, when he tried to charge his Samsung phone (sorry don't know which one) it didn't
(BTW he is using his own cable he had lying around)
He tells me that he plugs in the cable between car USB charger & the phone - the screen brightens, but the charging indicator doesn't 'animate' & after a few second the screen then dulls back down into standby
Now I suspect that perhaps it's the cable - but he assures me that the cable he used worked on the PC. making me think it's a Data/charging cable
I know there's a difference between 'Charging only' cables and 'Data/Charging' cables, something about a couple of pins may not be connected but onto my question.....
[Q] IF he was using a 'Data/Charging' cable on the car charger
- would his phone assume it's being connected to a PC & automatically go into 'data connection mode' but then (because there's no data) the screen then 'dulls' back to standby mode ??
- If so, why won't the phone go into 'Charge only' mode if it doesn't see any data signal instead ??
BTW On my HTC - if it sees data connection I get a popup asking what mode I'd like (if unlocked) but it automatically goes into 'charge' mode if it's locked - I'm thinking his Samsung does the opposite when 'locked'... going into 'data mode' instead
Thanks in advance

Charging issues

Hello guys,
I bought my Moto G (Indian, Dual Sim with Kitkat out-of-the-box) couple of days back.
So here are few issues:
1) While I connected it to wall charger, there's no charging animation showed even though its charging. Is it like that with everyone?
2) It doesn't get charged while I connect it through USB to my Windows 7 PC. Normal?
3) It gets connected only as MTP. No Mass Storage Device option in the USB Connection. And it doesn't let me copy folders. Only individual files. Anyone else?
Thanks for your replies.
1) There is no charging animation but only a flashing sign over battery.
2) Connecting via usb to pc charges the phone same as wall charger but also offers option such as mtp and stuffs..
3) No usb mass storage option instead mtp is activated by default. Yes i can transfer folders too.

Question for anyone who has FastCharge enabled at bootup

Can anyone tell me if fastcharge when enabled at boot on the N5, fast charges straight away when the USB cable is left plugged in during phone boot up. ie: if you power the phone from off when plugged in to USB, does it fast charge immediately or do you need to unplug and replug the USB cable? I want to buy one to use in a car environment, but don't have access to power button or USB connection....
Many Thanks
James

Accessing internet via hard wire

Could some one please suggest a way in which I can avoid running down the phone's battery when accessing the internet via a hard wired connection into the USB micro port of my mobile phone?
Do you think this would work?

For this purpose I do not want to access the internet on the phone by wireless.
Robin
I have tried:
IA micro to usb adapter: Plugable: Model USB2-OTGE100. It does not have a power supply and uses my phone's battery to power the adapter.
A Micro-B usb hub that has 3 standard usb outputs and one power input. It also has a Charge to OTG switch and it does not do what I want as it does not charge the phone at the same time as browsing the internet.
