I am having the exact same problem, except my phone wasn't rooted prior. All stock.

Did you try manually flashing the boot img from dh's rom?

Stock isn't gpe for vzw. If you are 100% stock look for my s-on ruu thread in general. It is a no wipe solution for you.

Hello,
I received my XT925 (UK version) yesterday, unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and installed TWRP v2.2.2.1. I am trying to flash Liquid Smooth v2.9 onto the phone however it has been stuck on "Verifying filesystems" for over 20 minutes, is this normal? I did a factory reset but didnt format system as i understood the rom formats it anyway. Should I still wait for it to finish verifying or is there something else i should do?
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. I managed to fix the problem but ended up installing Xenon HD which seems to be working great for now. I'll update TWRP anyway. Thanks again.
Ok, Ive unlocked my bootloader, installed CWM, rooted my device and checked that it worked, and when I go to the boot loader and select recovery it takes me to CWM. Ive made backups from it and and they restore fine. I even installed a custom kernel and it worked because noFrills let me OC/choose a different governor. Yet from the three ROMs Ive tried so far, they install fine, no errors from CWM, but when I boot up it just gets stuck booting forever. Ive tried wiping everything, Ive tried wiping some things, heck I even tried wiping nothing but I still get the same issue. Id really like to try a new ROM now that I went through the trouble of voiding my warranty, so please try to help me. Thanks in advance, alexbenh
Same here
Gonna try out this guy's method real quick except with CWM

I know this seems obvious, but are the ROMs you are flashing specific for your device?

yes, I have the Moto G XT1034 and have flashed ROMs before on my old galaxy exhibit and never had any trouble with that
Join the club, same here, done everything right but no custom rom joy for me

If you're flashing a kitkat ROM, make sure you're already running KitKat. If you're still on 4.3, then fastboot flash the stock 4.4.2 image first, then try custom roms
Sent from my XT1034 using Tapatalk
WOOOHOOO, I reinstalled the stock 4.4 firmware and everything, I couldnt root it with superboot so I just skipped the rooting step. Then I flashed CWM through the bootloader although I decided to take a risk and instead of "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", I did "mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img" just to see if it would change anything. Not sure if thats why it works for me now, but its worth a try. Good luck to the rest of you who have this problem.

Yes, I was already running the stock 4.4 ROM the only differences was that I had a custom kernel which could possibly be an issue, but I wouldnt think so

huh, I had not tried using TWRP, but I thought CWM had a fix permissions command as well.

My experience. I tried CWM then loaded a Rom, the first one I tried being CM11 = Bootloop, Then I tried several other Rom's and always the same result, spinning on Bootloop
I then put the phone back to stock firmware 4.4.2 and tried TWRP version TWRP2630, no joy even the bootloader wouldn't work right.
Finally put the phone back to stock AGAIN (now getting frustrated!) and tried installing TWRP2631 using fastboot. That did the trick, now all ROM's load and run fine. This version of TWRP appears to be working well. Backup/restore works, and no problems at all.
Other's report CWM works well, but not for me unfortunately.
TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) 2.7.1.0 for DROID RAZR HD/M
This is ONLY for users that have upgraded to stock KitKat
You must have an unlocked bootloader to use custom recovery
Download: TWRP2710-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
To install you must have fastboot set up on your pc and then:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery ]TWRP2710-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
You can then flash the root package of your choice.
Enjoy!
Yay, I can go back to TWRP! Thanks dhacker!
EDIT: Flashed it successfully and made a backup with no problems.

Thanks also working for me, just a slight typo in the code to flash the recovery .IMG.
Is it possible to flash CM11 with this recovery or should we still wait?

Works great! Thanks dhacker29 !
I do have a problem sometimes booting into recovery or restarting recovery while plugged into a power source. the xt926 will just get stuck either on the duel core logo or just stay on a black background. when I unplug the power source the recovery boots up normally.
Which isn't a big problem though everything else seems to be working great.

@dhacker29 I flashed this TWRP to Razr M and found issues - it`s xhdpi, but Razr M wants hdpi version ((
Can you make TWRP 2.7.1.0 hdpi for XT907?
Thank you dhacker29, just flashed it on my xt925.
It works well.
Made a backup, went back to 4.1.2 just for testing (full wipe with RSD), upgraded again to 4.4 and restored my backup.
Thanks
Worked perfectly!
Thank you. this thing was awesome. Used Matt's Droid Utility 1.4 to wipe from Cyanogen 11 to the Offical KK and then this for SuperSU and Titanium backup. whole thing didn't take an hour
It is SO nice to have TWRP back on my RAZR HD after upgrading to KitKat.
Thanks for much for this!
So what happens if we flash this over aosp kk instead of stock kk?

It won't work unless you have the new bootloader from stock KK.
I upgraded to the latest KitKat stock and have an itch to flash some of the custom Roms out there, but to my knowledge I think I would have to downgrade back to the old boot loader along with an older recovery in order to flash the older Roms.
Can anyone confirm?
For some reason this wont work on my xt926, it loops the Motorola boot logo forever.
Thanks anyway, DH. Going back to CWM for now.
Works well on my XT926, thank you so much!:good:

Yes.
Running the latest twrp but cm11 m8 won't install in recovery, keeps failing. I did have it installed a few weeks ago strangely enough, wiped everything over and over but no luck so far. Gone back to stock for now.
Is there an error? Did you check the logs? Are you on the latest boatloader?

So I installed the lateat CM12 nightly, wasn't really impressed yet and went to go restore my backup and once it's done restoring, it get stuck at the bootscreen animation. Just keeps going and going abs going. I used the latest cwm touch recovery as CM12 is not compatible with MultiROM. I would just flash the factory img back but my computer decided to it doesn't ever want to recognize adb avid fastboot on Linux.
Anyone know where I can find a flashable zip for the factory 5.0.1 ROM? Any help would be appreciated!
Try googling Nexus 5 factory image...
Here's a flashable 5.0 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-android-4-4-3-ktu84m-rooted-busybox-t2557523

Now I'm assuming I'd have to unroot it and flash stock recovery and lock the bootloader to get it to update to 5.0.1?
No, it's flashable in your custom recovery. It's 5.0 though

Yeap , ota needs stock recovery. Also , switch to twrp since cwm isn't playing nice with L.

I'm on the stock ROM you linked too, stock recovery, and unrooted but, when I get the update for 5.0.1 and try and install it, I get an error. Do I need to relock my boatloader?

You're on a custom Rom. The ota isn't going to work. And you don't need to relock your bootloader. If you can afford to wipe your data download the 5.0.1 factory image. Extract it and use the flash-all.bat

My computer is Linux, and adb and fastboot for whatever reason unknown to me, won't install. That's why I asked for a zip file of the factory image. Thanks for the help though.

Well, unfortunately, there isn't a 5.0.1 flashable rom available right now. If you can't get fastboot to work on your Linux machine you're kind of sol as you need to be 100% stock to get the ota to work. That means stock recovery in your case. Google recovery zip collection xda. There's a custom recovery flashable stock recovery there.

Did some more digging, got it install, and flashed the factory img for 5.0.1 and twrp recovery then superSU through twrp.
Mods please lock the thread thanks.
Get wugfreshes Toolbox. It has access to all factory images. Some people are not fans of "one click solutions" but this has never let me down.
There's a flushable zip on here also. Put it in a search in the app and you should come across it. It IS the full version.
Did you ever find out why the CWM restore led to getting stuck on boot animation??
Just ran into this last night. Tried restoring 2 different CWM backups and both got stuck on boot animation.
I eventually got a new ROM flashed. Going to try TWRP recovery I suppose.
I know I never had this problem with 4.4, this was the first time I have restored a LP ROM..

My guess would be; cwm hasn't been optimized for Lollipop. Cyanogen has just recently started working on 5.0 and they probably haven't touched the recovery too much. But that's just my guess.
