A good relief given the silence from Samsung, and conflicting pre-order dates, but it will be here this Friday
http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/30/9422727/samsung-gear-s2-smartwatch-pricing-availability
Stores: Samsung.com, Amazon.com, Best Buy, and select Macys stores.
Does anyone know at what time do online sales start?
I'm wondering the same thing. Checked the 3 sites listed above and nothing. Hopefully the 3g version go on sale today.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
For all we know Samsung probably demanded them not to sale any til the morning, so they can make a big buzz if they sale out in a few hours.

Bestbuy.com is showing them already, but only the $299 non-classic is available for shipping. The Classic is only available in-store. Also at $50 more, Samsung.com is showing them for order as well, but says shipping 3-4 weeks.
I just ordered mine, $299 model for pick up today. Sweet!
Sent from one of my many devices.
i also pre-order a black sport from BestBuy, but I really wanted a Classic.
I did the same thing hoping this ensures I at least get the Sport today. The Classic can't be ordered yet on bestbuy.com.

Picked up my black S2 at Best Buy this morning. Could have ordered from Amazon and received in a few days or waited three to four weeks on the Samsung site. My Best Buy only had the black S2 and that's all that was available on Amazon. I think my Best Buy only had three of them.
Picked up the Dark Gray (black) watch at Best Buy. They had 5 come in, all the same model. Anyone have luck getting the Classic model?
No luck getting the Classic, I've checked everywhere, even Samsung.com lists it as backordered 3-4 weeks. I really wanted the Classic, but the Sport is very nice.
I'm extremely impressed with the comfort and size of the Sport, it's the same thickness as my Huawei Watch, but it doesn't actually feel that way. The Sport is more rounded and my dress shirts easily fit over it, which is not the case with the Hauwei Watch.
I'm also becoming a fan of Tizen watch OS, I really like the interactiveness of the watch faces and widgets. The rotating bezel is cool and makes sense with this interface, but reviewers need to stop saying "it keeps your fingerprints off of the glass" because you still need to touch the screen to open and use all of the apps. I would have actually preferred Samsung made one of the buttons on the side an input button so you could select apps and then maybe use the same button for double click to home or something like that. The combination of the rotating bezel and a hardware input button would definitely have reduced the amount of times you need to touch the glass.

I totally agree and wonder if that is possible with a firmware upgrade sometime in the future?

Hey guys,
I thought I'd share this with you,
Frys Electronics is selling an unlocked and no contract version of the G2X for $299 brand new.
I thought it was a good deal because locked/used they go for $200-250.
Their stores are located through out the bay area but you can order online as well I believe.
Source: http://www.frys.com/ads/page5 (on the bottom of the add)
EDIT: I just saw that in very small letters under the picture it says "Reconditioned" ... oh well
nice deal even if refurbished. Good posting.
Bear in mind if you are intending to use your phone in the complete darkness, with brightness on 100%, while drawing white and ivory lines on a black DRAW! screen, (like we all do so often), you might not want to get one of these. 3 guys who did just, put about 25 phones in the refurb bucket by themselves, so I guess kudos to them.
Fry's does have a 30 day policy, so you can pretty much wait 45 days and then launch a class action if you are not satisfied.

Thanks to those guys who put lots of phones in the refurb buckets. I got mine refurb and had it sent to me in Thailand. Got a great deal on what I consider to be a perfect phone. Yes, of course, it has minor screen bleed but I only notice it in a dark room with brightness turned up, which I never do, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest. It has never locked up and only rebooted once on a wall charger before I updated to GB. I only had it one day before updating to GB and it has been rock solid ever since.
I paid less than half what a new 2X sells for here in Thailand without all the LG bloatware and I am on official GB (rooted) now, instead of waiting for it like all the 2X people still are. I couldn't be happier with my G2X unless it could make me an espresso in the morning.
I bought one of the Fry's refurbs this weekend at my local store, and I'm using it right now. I have to say, it's much nicer than my Droid X. The phone looks brand new, and still had protective plastic on the USB port and on the metal trim on the back. There's a tiny bit of screen bleeding in the upper left-hand corner, but it doesn't really bother me. It came in a plain white box with all of the original T-Mobile documentation and the original LG charger and USB cable. I plan on dumping Verizon and using Simple Mobile, but I'm going to play around with this for awhile longer, first.

I think whoever is refurbing them for Fry's just adds the plastic wrap to make it look newer and prettier when you open the plain white box.

I've purchased many refurb devices and every time they have been as good as new. Often times people buy them and return them in a few days and then it has to be refurbed, as it can no longer be sold as new. In some states if the item has been shipped and returned for non-delivery it is considered used and cannot be sold as new again. So the carriers sell them off cheap in pallets to be refurbed.
Two days ago I purchased the phone online-they changed the webpage now, but two days ago it said nothing about it being refurbished. So after driving an hour across town, they try to give me a refurbished one. Luckily, I had my receipt/screenprint as well as I guess a little luck on what manager I spoke with- long story short, they gave me the $299 price, and put the $264 balance ($519 no contract price) on some gift card.
The thing is, my receipt now shows this, I could make $264 if I returned it lol

I've already written to Samsung to bring this awesome accessory to the states. I could only find one European website that would sell it but the prohibitive shipping cost of $90 plus the actual item price makes it a no go.
You can certainly find a ceramic band for the S2 (or even a steel band but it won't match the S2's color scheme), however it'll most definitely have that hideous gap between the watch and the first link. Give Samsung a call or write as well so that maybe in large enough request we can get it over here at a reasonable price sooner rather than later.
Don't waste your time on Ebay, Aliexpress, China Wholesale, DH Gate, Amazon or whatever. They simply do not have anything that will fit. The 20mm fit is rare and if in fact you do buy one, -again-, it'll have that unconvincing tacked on after thought look that you'll see all over in pics on this forum with Gear S2 owners whom are sadly showing off their ill fitting ware. I'd gladly pay a few extra pennies for the svelte look in comparison.
This item has been available mainly in France, Belgium and a couple other countries for approximately 2 months now after the official unveiling back in late January. Let me know if you have any luck. I certainly can't be the only person wanting this super classy band.
BTW the Euro site you can buy in on and still has it in stock if you have the extra cash is (hardware.nl). I'm guessing the total USA dollars would be well over $250. Which would be ridiculous. I reason that if Samsung sold this product through normal official U.S. vessels it'd run about $80. A price that I'm cool with.
UPDATE
If you read through to the following reply post, you'll find that I detailed how I had made the preorder purchase on this original webpage http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/wea...ET-SCR73MBEGUJ and that'd I'd give my impressions when I was shipped the item. Sadly this is never going to happen.
The Band apparently turns out to be a myth.
{Keep in mind I've successfully received previously pre-ordered items from Samsung but this one is different and highly suspect. My credit card funds locked into the transaction and withdrawn when the item is shipped is typical, but this one is weird.}
The Original Ceramic band (ET-SCR73MBEGUJ) is now mysteriously missing from Samsung's official site. I had placed my pre-order with no idea on availability. The pre-order buy button was first removed, then the item itself. I just went ahead and canceled my order after logging into my Samsung account and speaking to representatives that have no clue as to what's going on with said product. My pre-order sat in limbo for about a month and a half. It is still listed on Amazon however as a pre-order as well but this has turned out to be a crock of bull. I now doubt that this official band will ever be released in the states.
Anyone knows what gives? Perhaps Samsung didn't get enough orders to make it worth their while, or maybe they somehow said screw it "we'll put our resources into shipping the gear fit 2". Whatever the reason is though, I'm extremely disappointed with how this release has been handled and would be highly skeptical about their commitment to any new product announcements. Supporting any fashion accessory in the future from me is highly unlikely being that I look at Apple and envy all the customization they've released for even their hideous Apple thing. Samsung has had a history of not following through with their products and software. It's time for them to acknowledge this fact and start paying attention to the details and respecting their customers and fans. One that I still am even today but.....

Purchase one
I purchased one on eb Samsung ET-SCR73MBEGWW Ceramic Strap Armband für Gear S2 Classic black. It is almost identical to the cheaper one I got on Eb
kR-NET-Deluxe-Ceramic-Strap
The problem with Ceramic is it will snap easy. I snapped the locking link on new Samsung pushing pin back in. Problem, I ordered it came from Germany. Samsung USA said to call Samsung Germany for replacement...but I do not speak the language.. so at this point money gone so be careful removing links if you import. I have picture but You get the the idea...be careful.. nice band

The official ceramic band is now finally available in the U.S. on Samsung's retail .com site for pre-order at $99 plus tax free shipping. It's definitely legitimate. I'd like to think I'm the catalyst to this trigger since I'm the only one harping on this subject but whatever. Rock the band that you feel is worthy.
Placed my order today. Will follow up with an update when I'm shipped the band accessory.

Darn, I'd missed the fact this is for the classic. I really like the strap.
Anyone know if this strap will fit the 4g version of the classic. I see on amazon a lot of bands dont fit the 4g version.

I put an order in for it right away for my 4G model. Initially contacting Samsung as to when if ever the device would be available here in the States after discovering that it had been on the market in Europe for some time. It went up for preorder a few days after my query with the customer service rep not being sure if it would fit my TMobile model. Obviously I'm hoping that it does because this could possibly be a royal waste of time. At the moment I'm waiting for the preorder to be filled. I'll do a follow up to whether it fits the 4G model right away once I have it in hand.
Side note: I highly recommend most guys look into purchasing the 4G model being that it's a bit larger than the Wifi version 44mm vs 40mm (sceen size is the same). To me the Wifi version is way too aesthetically feminine and toy like. My wife has the wifi rose gold model and it's a perfect fit for her, but the 4G model looks silly on her wrist just as the reverse scenario fits for me.
For those that haven't seen the 44mm casing vs 40mm casing side by side, take my word for it, the larger design looks like the more serious device. Fitting for a proper men's wrist.
Amazon just put it up for preorder too.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F6ZNWQM?tag=price56-20&ascsubtag=149649679
I really hope this watch band will fit my at&t Classic. I saw Amazon had it up as well wish it didnt take 3-4 weeks to ship out, although I can't complain; I am glad it is for sell in the states! Wondering also when the preorder will ship from Samsung.com
Anyone has any idea if this fits gear s2 classic 3g???????
I don't know about spending a 100 bucks on this, I would definitely grab it if it was 50 and change. I like the way it looks and hope it comes down in price. I've looked all over for a strap with a bigger connection that fills in the gap and had no luck so far. But anything fancy about ceramic over stainless steel?

I've had my 32 gb black n5 from the play store basically since launch and now I've finally cracked the screen badly.
I'm off contract and on att in the US, what should I do?
I've been perfectly happy with stock Marshmellow on it but now I'm trying to decide if I should fix it or get something like a Oneplus3 or S7, etc.
I'm jaded having the purity of the nexus and the ease of swapping roms at a whim and the Samsung devices turn me off in regards to that. On the flip side the S7 etc would be a monthly add on to my bill vs spending a good $400+ up front.
Third option is invest my time and maybe $50ish on swapping an lcd/digitizer/glass combo and dealing with my beat up n5 and waiting for the upcoming Nexuses.
Thoughts/opinions?
PS 2x I've tried calling Google for the 1 time replacement thing you may have heard of for N5 owners, (google it), and so far they just send me to LG for a repair quote.
Yesterday i changed my N5 screen in just under 20 minutes, it is so easy i felt i did something wrong, because it shouldn't be this easy.
this is the video i used to understand the process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xL4H6_tRoQ .
please be gentle when removing things and you will have your phone back.
Thanks for the particular vid link. If I can find a decent price for parts I'll take a crack at it. I've disassembled other phones before, just not my N5.
What parts did you buy, just the glass or more?
I recommend buying the lcd, frame, and glass as a preassembled unit. I purchased screens from aliexpress for around 40 usd. These screens aren't as bright as the original but they are quite good for the money.
Sounds good, I'd rather spend $40ish to keep my N5 alive. Nothing else out right now makes me want to jump ship. I can't believe some places want to charge people like $100+ for doing it for you.
Right now I'm perfectly happy running stock marshmallow on this thing. I've had so many ROMs on this and it does everything I need. I'm not ready to let go!
Thanks for the input everyone.
I did the same. Just bought the screen and frame for 34$ on ebay and brightness is good. Screen bleed at the top is visible. But until this year's nexus device releases in using this phone.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
BTW a quick heads up, if you want to get a real screen replacement/one that isn't lower quality you should really go with etrade parts and supply co. They are suppliers for official phone repair shops, and also have an online store. http://www.etradesupply.com/lg-nexu...itizer-assembly-with-front-housing-21773.html That is probably what you want and its only 47 bucks atm, but there is shipping from them (and its expensive because they are used to bulk orders...again for shops.) There are definitely other places you can get them, but that is the only 100% reputable dealer I have found in the US so far. Also you can order the lower quality screens from them too for I think 40 dollars if you check the site,
I keep getting an in game ad for this site. It seems like a clone of the Gear S3. No reviews anywhere online that I could find. Any experience? I bought mine from A4C for under $200 last year, but this price is absurd. Website is pretty vague. No official specs. I've bought Chinese clones before without success. For sure the phone worked, but was nothing like the original. Though I've bought some that weren't meant as clones (probably the same or similar specs) and they were fine for what I was expecting.

I bought one on a whim 2 days ago and am now hoping I've not been stung. The only thing I can find reviews-wise is on the magicube site where I got it, nothing independent.
I'll keep my ingers crossed I suppose and update if it arrives.

Likewise I saw these advertised, and at just over £30 thought it was worth a punt. Don't think I'd have paid more though.
Will be interesting to see how it compares to my gear s2
Same aspect do not mean same feature like the No1 Watch. They have just a physic resemblence but not others things : not same OS, not same app, not same watchface..... so just a Chines watch like others thousand....

I bought one on a whim 2 days ago and am now hoping I've not been stung. The only thing I can find reviews-wise is on the magicube site where I got it, nothing independent.
I'll keep my ingers crossed I suppose and update if it arrives.

Did you get any shipping confirmation email? I have also bought one and now I have some serious doubts. They have simply copied samsung gear s3 ads.
Seen on Instagram
I've just gone for one too. Paying by PayPal and a Credit Card gives protection if all is not as it seems.

Yes I did, however not yet dispatched, so I will see what develops.
Also just bought one with Paypal. How's the buyer protection, if we never receive it Paypal will reimburse 100% ?
Will also update if I get tracking number
I keep getting these adverts all over my Facebook. The video and the pictures they use are from the Samsung website. So the pictures you see are the gear s3 frontier and the s3 classic.
However, you aren’t going to receive the watch you see. You will receive a cheap Chinese clone, it’s also dubious whether the bezel will in fact turn or control the device.
Also the charger is not going to be the same as in the pictures
If you YouTube no.1 smartwatch, you’ll see what you are going to receive.
I’ve commented a few times on this companies Facebook advert about this issue of using the Samsung pictures but they just ignore it
Keen to see what people who have bought this end up with.
Really hope it's ok lol
Again like you guys I thought **** it why not and spent £30. Just watched that YouTube video and I'm actually hopeful as it was quite positive though. No notifications on dispatch times or anything though which is not worrying but obvs casts doubt. Will update asap
i just order one too ....thru paypal and i got confirmation from them and also from the site with order no. and all....will see

I have also commented on there Facebook page that it's a Samsung add. Still waiting to hear back from them.
I too am interested to see what turns up

Just bought mine, shipping to germany....so if this is a real Wear OS Watch and its near to the normal Wear OS Watches, this one is amazingly cheap .
At this moment i have the Amazfit Stratos 2 ...amazing battery life, kinda interessted if the watch can hold up to 2 Days with full usage.
Just received shipment confirmation, so fingers crossed something turns up
Heck next time I start a scam website I am posting here.
Hope you guys get something usable.
Not to sound racist... I'd love to hear your experience. What game? Mine was TPB.
Like everyone else I'm tempted... but sceptical. I did a whois and the website was only born in March this year... I saw a similar beautiful advert for a fake light sabre replica last week, at a similar price and an even younger URL. They ship some crappy toy... slowly I assume. It popped up daily for about a week before it disappeared... I assume taken own by FB. It seems scammers have found a sweet spot price to harvest thousands of orders then disappear. Hope I'm wrong... I want one!
I allready recieved a tracking number, its coming from China, iam hyped but not very confident xD.
Also bought one 25 minutes ago, so will wait and see. Paid by PayPal as it was the only payment method available, so should be covered
Wasting money. Nothing like the ad. Super lag. Super slow
Bought the one in October and the screen protector is beginning to peel/ fray in the middle. I've got Samsung Care+ which allows me to make two claims per year.
Wondering if I should use it for this or if Samsung has anything along the lines of one screen protector change for free?
UK based if relevant.
going through this now in the US. they will do it one time free. the issue for me is there is nowhere local to me that is able to actually do it. has to be sent off, could take 3 weeks.
