HY, you can try download from play store ROM MANAGER and after that go to FLASH CWM RECOVERY , there you select the phone model ,after that it should say successfully flashed,and you are done.
I've recently installed brazilian Android 5.0 soak test on my indian XT1033 and every thing is just awesome.

Try with CF-Auto-Root from ChainFire. It contains SuperSU v2.36
Simply flash SuperSU 2.36 from a custom recovery.
Just flash any of the latest 4.4.4 recoveries and flash the supersu.zip

No, you will lose root
You will have to wait until someone releases a pre-rooted flashable zip for the latest firmware. Then you can just flash it in recovery

Now I'm confused. You said earlier that there's no need to unlock bootloader but this new link you gave me says I have to. What I'm asking from you is if this recovery here http://forum.xda-developers.com/t2-ultra/development/t2-ultra-xzdualrecovery-qa-t2823793 will also work on c3/kitkat without unlocking bootloader.

Now there's a new update available fixing the camera and GPS issues. My question is should I do the update? Will my root be gone? Will it brick my phone? I don't know what to do, please help me! You can't update your phone via OTA if the bootloader is unlocked.

Ok thanks for the quick answer. So I need to download and flash the ftf-file and root it after it? will my data be gone after flashing the ftf?
