[Q] [q]usb mode[connects then closes]

thank you if you would like to help.
me problem is my galaxy s 2.3.6 rom
usb mode.
first usb cable....charges...but usb mode not recognized.
second usb cable....charges...recognized usb....connects and just closes.
well that sums it all up.
i just want to have a usb mode back.
and can anyone clarify if you can flash is you don't have usb mode..
if usb mode cannot be fixed atleast i want to be able to flash..

u simply put ur fon in download mode by presing down vol+home key+power btn and connect it to pc through ur usb cables. chek in device manager that ur fon has been added as new com port and also verify it by odin. if ur fon is recognized by odin then ur usb cables and fon is working fine.

im just afraid that i my DOWNLOAD MODE will be affected by the USB MODE error..

thnx for increasing my thanks meter, download mode cant be affected by any software. Its built-in facility to recover your from all kind of rom failures, personaly i tested this when i destroy my rom and boot loader too and my fon is jst showing samsung popular pc-phone

thank you for your help sir.
i've just fixed my usb port.
i poke cleaned it with a needle and it sparked and shut down.
thought it was broken but then i restarted and usb mode is recognized.
hope i can flash again soon.
do you know a CWM KERNEL for a 2.3.6 android version?
i only know how to flash rom using ODIN not CWM so i dont know which CWM i need to flash an ICS rom.

ok flash any rooted kernel, like semaphore through odin. download and put ics rom zip file to your sdcard, goto cwm recovery by pressing vol up+menu+power then select install zip from sdcard then browse ics rom zip n press ok

Ok so heres a new cwm recovery for huawei ascend y320 there is an other CTR recovery for this phone but CWM as you know is the best recovery
Now this tutorial is very easy to follow and in few seconds youll have your CWM installed.
Requirements:
1.Rooted Huawei Ascend Y320 (If not see this thread)
2.MTK Droid Tools With HUAWEI-Y320-U30_boot_patched_-.img files
Instructions:
1.enable Usb debugging from developers options.

2.Connect your device to pc via usb cable and make sure all the drivers are installed (If not GO HERE)
3.Connect the device using USB Cable.Select "Media device" as USB mode.
4.Now open "MTK Droid Tools"
5.Select root backup recovery tab
6.Now check the To Use from Boot option and click Recovery and boot
7.Now Recovery will be installed If any pop up appear click yes and your done.
Now Enjoy CWM Recovery on your Phone Simple and Easy​

I'm using MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.2
but it tells me "The device isn't revealed. Connect or reconnect a cable!"
tried so many times but nothing happend...
for your information
Device is rooted.
USB debugging is turned on,
I run the application as an Admin
successfully installed the driver using AdbDriverInstaller
nothing is wrong with the cable too...
Any ideas?

I've seen one or two threads that were in the same vein as this, but no clear resolution. Every time I open SuperSU, I get the message, "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?" I select "Continue," and am given the message to install it normally or through TWRP/CWM. If I try through TWRP, the phone restarts into TWRP, but does nothing. If I select "Normal," I get the "Installation failed!" message. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling SuperSU, but that didn't do anything.
In a related problem, I only have root access pretty much immediately after I reboot. Only immediately after I restart the phone can I use apps like WiFi Tether or Titanium.
I'm on stock, rooted 4.2.2. Any help would be great, thanks! :crying:

For problem with su binary updating but end up in failure you must delete set.immutables theres a guide on xda somewhere but you need termanal emulator on your device to remove

Moto g OTG problem

yesterday i brought OTG Cable i tested mouse(wireless) and it works [emoji2] but..
today when i connected my pendrive/mouse it doesn't recognise
help

dunno Wats ur problem but for usb drive just download the Es file explore from play store them go to the settings > LOCAL > UR USB NAME > Click it try this.. hope it will work on ur moto g..

no i have Es file explore
but it dosent show any new drive
and i tested 1 and 4 pin from multimeter and it show 4v

Otg support
My moto g reading the usb through otg but when i unmount the storage and unplugged the usb a msg comes in the bar it tells. To mount the storage and when i try to clear the msg from the notification bar it doesnt get clear another problem i am facing is when i plugged in the usb mouse through otg i had wirk reallyhard to move its cursor and when i plugged it out and trt to open gallery or inage video an error msg comes saying no external storage and nothing is opening unless i switched off the device and then open it kindly help on thrse topics.

Its minor bug in 4.4.2 Update its fixed in 4.4.4 so dont worry... But on ur 4.4.2 u have to reboot it every time when u gonna use the usb to get rid of notification symbol...

I factory reset my phone and it work

Help!! My D838 is soft brick now!!

My phone version is 4.4.2 (16G Taiwan version rooted and flashed philiz touch recovery). I update it to 5.0.1 yesterday but after reboot it, it only reboot into philiz touch recovery again and again, also it can’t boot into the download mode.
I try install the rom from external sdcard but philiz touch recovery show nothing from my external sd card (but file in internal can show). Also I try to install from sideload from computer, but I can’t install the driver correctly because its show F350 after detect my phone so the driver can’t install. Is its no any idea for solve the problem?

You can find "reboot download" under power menu in Philz. Please try it.

Pre-Req:-
1].This TWRP is Fully Funtional With Lyf Water-8 Devices Which have Android Lolipop, [Marshmallow Devices are currently not supported]
2].Charging must Be At Min. 30%
3].Phone must be rooted For Non-PC Installation Check
####Installation Steps####
Steps For Installaion From PC
1]. Extract The Downloaded File.
2].Boot Ur Device into Fastboot mode By pressing Vol.Down and Power Simultaniously until White Screen With Android written on it appears [Note make Sure u have USB debugging Enabled]
3] Run Start.bat And select Option 1 then connect ur device.
4]Reboot And Done U have TWRP recovery installed

Yes bro lyf water 8 has custom rom(provided by Mohd.
Faraz.abc ) and the custom rom is Dot Oreo
And also a new rom is in manufacturing process. Just wait for some time

I have used this method and installed TWRP. But I accidently wiped OS(System). TWRP wont be detected by PC or LAPTOP. TWRP wont mount MicroSD card or USB. What do I do?
