ROOTING GUIDE :
1. Download the updated version from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
or check attachments at the end.
2. Extract it
3. Open runme.bat file or any .bat file in the folder.
4. select 1.
5. it tells what to do. (select restore from right corner on ur phone screen).
6. it reboots twice.
Now ur phone is rooted.

CUSTOM RECOVERY ::
CLOCKWORKMOD & TWRP-TOUCH Recovery
here u can install mods, patches, roms or any updates
or rom backup/restore,etc.
for recovery installation
after rooting ur phone
1. install mobile uncle tools[DO NOT UPDATE] download link attached.
2. download the recovery.img from the below attachments.
3. place it in root of sd-card.
4. open mutools, grant superuser permissions.
5. click on recovery update.
6. select recovery.img from ur sdcard.
7. now click reboot to recovery.
now recovery is installed.

ROMS :

in-case for warranty or brick use this......
1. download the file http://d-h.st/tEJ
2. extract clockworkmod folder it to root of sd card.
3. reboot to recovery-
switch off -> powerbutton + vol- button.
4. wipe cache/dalvik. and data(optional)
go to backup and restore
5. click restore select this backup and select yes......

problem after wipe data, cash from TWRP

hello
how are you all ?
first i have mate 8 NXT-29C185B200 (emui 4.0)
i do UnlockBootloader By SRK Tool , then i installed TWRP recovery, then i installed root. untill this moment everything OK
but i do wipedata, wipcashe, and internal storage By TWRP recovery, then this problem appeared
I've lost icons of the basic programs, and programs lost Huawei, backgrounds.
I tried install official rom, install unofficial, and lockbootloader then install update.app
but not solved the problem
can anyone help me please ?
and i am sorry my English is poor

Download SKRTool
then go utilities (number 7) > then write number 12 then enter . and continue

WHAT IS TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, and root your device.
HOW TO INSTALL
U need a Rooted Device to install this recovery..
Download Recovery From here http://www.mediafire.com/file/05e9vcaf776ljd3/sd.img
1. Boot your Device in fastboot mode and connect to PC.
2. Using fastboot boot sd.img command temporarily boot into twrp.
3. flash this SU zip file https://download.chainfire.eu/969/Su...0630161323.zip
4. Your Device is now rooted. Boot the device.
5. Copy The recovery in your phone.
6. Download flashify and open it. It will ask you for root permission, give it that so flashify can do it's process.
7. Select recovery option and find your sd.img from your explorer.
8. Now just flash it and wait till a dialogue box appears with REBOOT option.
9. Now just reboot your device in twrp recovery and enjoy.

[Resolved] LAVA A3 (LAVA Z25) TWRP/Philz Touch recovery ( MT 6750) AND ROOT

[WARNING]IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICK
HOW TO FLASH CUSTOM Recovery ON LAVA A3 AND LAVA Z25 (MT 6750)
Requires
1 PC
2 USB cable
3 USB driver [EXAMPLE] i use VCOM driver you can use you want
4 SP Flash TooL
5 CUSTOM Recovery
Step 1) unlock bootloader
LAVA A3 AND LAVA Z 25 has bootloader so we NEED to unlock bootloader first

1 select scatter file

You do not properly
Read carefully and read fully
i test three times I don't see any bricks
do it step by step following my method you need to read my description
First unlock the bootloader otherwise you will get bricks

I flashed the zip file with sp flash tool and it it's gone bricked!

dear i do the same u guide but now everything done successfully but my phone is stuck on lava logo not going ahead
even twrp is also installed i can access the twrp mode but cant access after the lava logo because its stuck saying that wait for 5 second

1. power off your samsung j8

INSTALLING RECOVERY
1. open odin flash tool
2. make sure you are in download mode and USB is connected
4. now you will see Added logs in log Tab
3. click on AP Tab and select OrangeFox-Recovery-j8y18lte-Odin-AP.tar file
4. now click on start & wait for recovery to be flashed .
5. if recovery flashed correctly you see pass message
NOTE: when you see pass message suddenly press and hold vol- key and power
6. Congratulations you are in OrangeFox recovery now
