The Eton Raytheon has 2 normal Batteries stacked together (looks strange) while the THL has one Battery (With new technology) that should keep up to its promise as the THL 4400 uses the same technique and proofs that they told the truth about the battery life.

Same phone case as the ThL 4400, but, they are using High Density Li-Po in the 5000 series.
After all, the battery size difference from the ThL 4400 (mAh) and the ThL 5000 (mAH) phones is only 600mAh.
And 600mAh, thats 1/3 the size of my current battery, not to much to add onto the 4400mAh.
The Gell and Smart Case from the 4400 fit the 5000, I got the info from ThL directly.

I also noticed the appearance of this phone. It seems to be the cheapest option with decent specs including battery for now, if only Chinese manufacturers didn't cheat with numbers as it sometimes happen. Will wait and see when people get hands on it to know if there are any major harware or firmware issues.

I believe if the ROM was insreased it's price would rise, too. And personally for me the 8Gb will do well, I don't plan to install some heavy games with cache or upload any videos to the phone. And for the essential programms it's more than enough. And of couse there's an SD slot

i am really worried about tinydeal and focalprice, they have been selling me used phones!!

I've been using the THL W100S for over a year now and I'm quite satisfied. However lately the batterylife is decreasing severe. This THL 4000 seems like a great next option to me, but I'm just wondering if the 5MP camera would do the job... Does anyone has some reviews/experience about the camera? Gr Raizy

Just got the THL 4000 from tinydeal. Phone is lovely was able to root it with vroot. Good build, phone is handsome, screen is nice.
I'm having a problem with recording video with the frame rate is only around 15fps. Makes the recorded videos un-watchable. Tried to tweak the camera, used "open camera". messed a little with the build.prop tweaks to force 30fps and nothing. helped.
Any thoughts how to get higher fps? at least 24.

Arrived also to me yesterday

Excellent general fluidity, mammoth battery and long to recharge ..
smartphone heavy and full-bodied, good assembly, good cover with surface grain, very good touch & feel.
very good screen, touch with 5 touches, led top notification (only red), soft touch buttons backlit (a rarity for this kind of phones and price range).
Root succesfull with Vroot 1.7.9.2, put supersu, putting recovery CWM with MTK droid tools, modified the internal partition going from 2Gb App + 4Gb internal memory to 4Gb App + 2Gb internal via EBR taken in the network.
Put Xposed framework + gravity box KK,.
Gps tested with cold fix, 52 seconds and 7 satellites, not bad!

just weighed on precision balance ..
185g phone + battery + sim and only battery weight 75g
* Edit 3:
I had the battery to 97% 28 hours of standby time, 1 hour of GPS on, four hours of Wifi, BT 20 minutes to transfer files and various tweakability with 2 hours of screen on auto brightness ... and the battery is still at 83% (first charge) ...
and consider that i have activated the double tap to wake, that should consume a little ..
OK for OTG function and recharging ability for other smartphone (in fact i have recharged my nexus 5 with 60% of the THL battery).
Only bad things regarding Flash led (blue casting and poor light/power) and camera quality/speed

Used last version of vroot for rooting the phone. After that, i install supersu, remove vroot apps with system app remover, connected the phone to pc in debug usb mode and used mtk droid tool for creating and injecting cwm recovery. U can found guides in this forum.

Doubt it, if you flex it a bit now and then it would break the coil.

Maybe not for you, but for us who owned or used a G Flex mostly loves it. There are millions of other flat phones, you didn't need to come here and waste time.

I am disappointed in the RAM. They should be offering 3 standard, with an option for 4. Other than that, it is impressive.

why are they showing a photo of the first g flex in this forum? also it looks like a nice device but i may stay clear of any devices that release with the s810 until they revise it because of overheating.

Any person on XDA would read reviews before buying a device. We'll see by the end of the week, when south Korea gets the first batch, if there is any problem and if so how bad it is. My guess is it's not as bad as media rumours make it sound.

Awesome phone. Will buy soon.

Here in Korea, at least, the only option is color. I ordered a 32GB Platinum Gray and it comes with 2GB. Oh well.

It was a strange situation... I preordered on the 23rd, but my order was canceled. I ordered again today. The first time, the 공시지원금 (not sure how to translate...) was missing. The second time, it was added (so the phone was MUCH cheaper!!). I think all the preorders were canceled to add the 공시지원금.
I think the phone was also available in a few stores starting today, so there should be some unboxings soon.

More mp doesn't = better camera
Infact in many cases it will give worse shots in anything but ideal lighting conditions.

Thats generalizing saying more mp doesnt equal a better camera and true to a point only.
My note 4 takes far better shots than my note 3 or 2 and guess what..more mp.
In your thinking it should be worse lol. We all know there is much more to a camera than mp dude...goes without saying pretty much.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like it's the only factor, it just seemed that you really wanted more mp. Apparently they have made some improvements to the ois and the software so it may well give better images than the g3 anyway.

Its the OmniVision OV23850 camera sensor.

This device has really caught my eye! Just wanted to drop a very minor correction on the Blu Pure XL image. The device does support Wi-Fi 802.11 AC. Just thought you may want to add that to the image.
The only things I see people wondering about (myself included) is:
1. Updates (How is this company about pushing out updates? With Marshmallow on the horizon, will it take 40 forevers to get it?)
2. No VOLTE Band 12 on T-Mo's network (Is this a deal breaker?)
Never thought I'd get a 6" device, but that may change come October.

The hardware should be able of recording 1080p 60fps. But i dont know if the phone actually can do it.

Can anyone confirm removable battery? This is a huge help for an avid traveler like me. The rest of the specs already have me sold though. The only other things I might have desired are 4GB RAM, front flash, and shipping with unlocked bootloader, and source code available...
My searches say neither this or the Gionee Elife E8 have removable batteries.

this is a Gionee Elife E8 but sold under blu for a fraction of the price so this is a great phone for an awesome price and the value for money will be incredibly hard to beat

Does anyone know how well the Cortex A53 stacks against the Snapdragon 810 AND how well PowerVRG6200 is compared to adreno 430?
What do you guys think in comparing this phone to say Oneplus Two as well as Moto X Pure

The camera seems to be rubbish. Even the official photo samples look rubbish and washed out colors.

Look at some of the hands on videos posted on YouTube, the device definitely supports micro sd storage, with the back cover off, you can see the micro sd slot as well as dual sim slots.

On top of the posted videos, I've read it can support up to 64GB on a micro SD. I bet it could do 128GB if attempted. Either way, I'm really excited about this device coming from an OPO. My only concerns are with the camera and updates. Everything else looks fantastic! Sept. 29 can't get here fast enough!

I'm hoping we can count on XDA for updates, as I don't see Gionee or Blu releasing many, if any. This is the same chip as the HTC one m9+ or whatever they call it, so there should be some support there for the SoC.
Everything I'm seeing says this is dual sim with a Micro SD slot once you remove the back cover, so storage isn't a concern. However, even with the cover off, the battery is highly unfortunately non-removable.
The Elife line for Gionee is centered on having great cameras. The specs on this camera are excellent, especially the autofocus speed. F/2.0 is nice as well. But we'll have to see what the real life results look like.

The only two things that concern me are camera quality and how well the fingerprint sensor works. If the reviews are good, I'll probably pull the trigger on this one.

what about performance under Windows for general use, lime Web browsing and documents?
the price is very nice indeed but I am afraid hat it will be just a paper weight after couple of months of use OR the performance will be too slow to practically use it

Hello AhmadOkda,
It is very possible to remove the Andrioid partition! However, I personally would not recommend it, as it is a complicated process and there is a big chance of messing up, but there are tutorials online. The performance of this tablet is fantastic for the price, it definitely has more than enough power for lime web browsing and document editing, it can even play 3D Windows games! The performance of this tablet will not slow down over time. Processor performance in Geekbench and Physics 3DMark test is very close to Tegra K1!

Yes, this tablet has an SD card slot. And it is the full Windows x64 desktop experience, not Windows Phone 8.

I've yet to receive it. In fact, it's yet to be dispatched from Gearbest warehouse despite ordering it over a week ago [emoji22] It's irritating.
