Not that I know of. One friend of mine is going to buy it for me in China . But it will be available worldwide very soon , June-July

It's available in China now. Cost about 10% more than the Galaxy Nexus. Look forward to the P1S version.

It cost 470 USD actually for the P1. Dont know the current price of the Galaxy nexus (2011) right now
The P1 s version cost about 150 USD extra, reaching easily 600 USD, not worth it in my opinion. Why would you pay 150 extra box for 1mm thickness?

Are you in China? Any idea how much an Ascend D1 costs?

It's an amazing cellphone for that price,however;ascend D quad is around the corner,which makes me hesitate.
Just read tech specs about ascend D,you'll like it more.

P1 is great! It will be available in Europe starting from August, as far as I know, on prices between 350-400 euro. However, there is the new D2 coming out soon (no idea when it will be available in Europe).
In China, the price for P1 is around 2200 RMB, that is 280 Euros. However, please note that the Chinese version IS NOT compatible to GAPPS! You need to install over a World/Europe ROM.
The phone itself is just geat! The speed is impressive! Camera is good (with some features not encountered in standard camera software). There are also all sort of Huawei apps, that are very good and I mention here a FULL backup software, for applications and data (does not require root as it is integrated). It supports FaceUnlock. There are a lot of other goodies not to mention. My opinion: a very good value for the money!
Just got the latest UI from Huawei. It is really impressive. A little bit MIUI like, but as it is done by Huawei developers, I think that the integration is much better. Could not find a problem yet, I am proud to be a owner of this.

At $500 is represents the best value for money 1080 phone currently on the market, and this is where Vivo are going to fall flat on their face!
Last year the Vivo X1 launched with dual-core MT6577 processor and thin 6.55mm body for $401, we thought it was far too expensive, you thought it was to expensive, and it seems Chinese consumers believe so too as I have only ever seen one out in public!
Still Vivo are not deterred by this and plan to launch an updated version of the X1 with dual-sim support and a more efficient quad-core MT6589 processor running at 1.2Ghz. The X1s, as the updated phone will be known, will get the same 720 HD display, 2GB RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 2000mAh battery and high-quality stereo audio all in the same super slim 6.55mm alloy body.
So have Vivo decided to lower the price of the X1s, or at least sell the phone at the same price as the X1 despite the updates? No, is the answer. From what I can tell it's pretty sturdy in hand. And it's damn thin. Unfortunately the capacitive buttons at the bottom are not lit and the volume rocker is on the right. Both of these rathers bothers me and I need some time getting used to it. According to some, the battery is a 2000mah which is big for a phone this slim. Also has an led indicator on the top left of the phone. It id green, but idk if there are other colors.

Personally I don't understand the point of sacrificing battery capacity and internal specs for the sake of making the phone less comfortable to hold in hand.

The phone working great, I tried everything, GPS, Google apps, Games, and more, and that's working wonderful, the quality of the phone feels very good like Samsung Galaxy 4/3 and not like a Chinese garbage

Agreed.
Many new chinesse models have very good build quality and excelent power/price ratio. I have no fear to buy chinesse model, but in this case, 5" is too big for me.

the THL W8S should have 2GB RAM. not 1GB RAM...

because i have search for the sane question and i was balanced between this two
i can say that thl makes telephones once i week with something defferent.
i left behind w11 because the defference only is 13 front camera as they published
i choose w8s because two slight defferences 1st ws8 has hspa+ 21,mbs 2nd corning Gorilla glass 3 but as i informed from the suplier they havenot been in the market yet.I hope to help you some how.

There is no CM for the P5000, and the P5000 comes prerooted from Elephone, or you can easy root it with iRoot.
CM11 is just comming out for the P6000 soon, it will be a while before we will see CM12 (if ever) for any china phone.

i bought this phone mainly for the big battery but i hate the front samsung-like home button . i wonder if the button can be 'painted' on the edges to hide the chrome part.

Not unheard of for them. Part of the reason most here won't touch their products at all a d their US website is failing badly

They are sticking their own brands to loads of products produced by other OEM factories, and marking up the price slightly. Some of the specs are a joke, so please do some research before buying anything Xiaomi.

I seriously doubt that, but even if it were true, the devices work properly, look nice and are cheap. It's not like they're scamming you.. lol.

It's a scam when similar or even better products are priced lower. Eg the new Xiaomi tablets with win10 OS. Check out the alternatives available in the China market.
