I haven't heard a whole lot about real world results of the MeidaTek processor, but the specs look strong. Would love to know who makes the 24mp camera. Also look forward to seeing battery life results from gsmarena.com.
This looks like a legit top shelf phone for half of the price. I will be keeping my eyes out. And great that it is a US company that isn't stupid Apple.

Really incredible - I heard about interesting price.

Its the OmniVision OV23850 camera sensor.

This device has really caught my eye! Just wanted to drop a very minor correction on the Blu Pure XL image. The device does support Wi-Fi 802.11 AC. Just thought you may want to add that to the image.
The only things I see people wondering about (myself included) is:
1. Updates (How is this company about pushing out updates? With Marshmallow on the horizon, will it take 40 forevers to get it?)
2. No VOLTE Band 12 on T-Mo's network (Is this a deal breaker?)
Never thought I'd get a 6" device, but that may change come October.

The hardware should be able of recording 1080p 60fps. But i dont know if the phone actually can do it.

External SD? Yes? No? Nipples?

Anyone know if this phone supports Miracast or other image mirroring?
This is what Tmobile said regarding band 12 and unlocked phones http://www.tmonews.com/2015/08/t-mo...in-unlocked-smartphones-put-in-the-spotlight/

Can anyone confirm removable battery? This is a huge help for an avid traveler like me. The rest of the specs already have me sold though. The only other things I might have desired are 4GB RAM, front flash, and shipping with unlocked bootloader, and source code available...
My searches say neither this or the Gionee Elife E8 have removable batteries.

No go bro. The only mention of any type of memory in the post or the picture is the 64Gigs of internal and the 3Gigs of RAM. There is no mention of external SD card.

this is a Gionee Elife E8 but sold under blu for a fraction of the price so this is a great phone for an awesome price and the value for money will be incredibly hard to beat

Does anyone know how well the Cortex A53 stacks against the Snapdragon 810 AND how well PowerVRG6200 is compared to adreno 430?
What do you guys think in comparing this phone to say Oneplus Two as well as Moto X Pure

The camera seems to be rubbish. Even the official photo samples look rubbish and washed out colors.

Noob shooting in auto?

Yes the device supports micro SD and is also dual sim capable

Look at some of the hands on videos posted on YouTube, the device definitely supports micro sd storage, with the back cover off, you can see the micro sd slot as well as dual sim slots.

On top of the posted videos, I've read it can support up to 64GB on a micro SD. I bet it could do 128GB if attempted. Either way, I'm really excited about this device coming from an OPO. My only concerns are with the camera and updates. Everything else looks fantastic! Sept. 29 can't get here fast enough!

I'm hoping we can count on XDA for updates, as I don't see Gionee or Blu releasing many, if any. This is the same chip as the HTC one m9+ or whatever they call it, so there should be some support there for the SoC.
Everything I'm seeing says this is dual sim with a Micro SD slot once you remove the back cover, so storage isn't a concern. However, even with the cover off, the battery is highly unfortunately non-removable.
The Elife line for Gionee is centered on having great cameras. The specs on this camera are excellent, especially the autofocus speed. F/2.0 is nice as well. But we'll have to see what the real life results look like.

Here's a link with some more useful specs...
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/BLU-Pure-XL_id9639

The only two things that concern me are camera quality and how well the fingerprint sensor works. If the reviews are good, I'll probably pull the trigger on this one.

Xiaomi Mi4
Xiaomi Mi4 is probably bound to be announced sooner or later this year as various information leaks and alleged snapshots of parts of the phone recently came out. This powerful flagship phone reportedly will bear a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series chipset (probably Snapdragon 805), 5.5-inch IPS OGS screen, 3GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and 4G-LTE support. Check out the rest of the specs here: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/xiaomi-mi4
If the leaks are true, then we are looking at a very impressive phone. Have you heard of any news regarding the release date and updated info about Xiaomi Mi-4? Please share what you know about it.
*UPDATE:
Official specs - 5.0-inch IPS OGS Gorilla Glass 3 screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core 2.5GHz CPU, 3GB RAM, 4G-LTE support...
Xiaomi Mi4 come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, 3GB RAM 32GB ROM, support 4G LTE, 16.0MP rear camera, 5.0MP front camera...
Specs Here: :good:
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_4-6518.php
Generally a blatant copy of iPhone 5 or 5s, with a little photoshop work, while the back cover is that of Huawei Honor 3X.
Still quite impressive phone. Depends on the price, but I'm considering buying it.
It has a metal housing, so it should be tougher than an average smartphone these days. Says it's also IP67 certified on gsmarena specs, but I doesn't says anything about that on official page.
well, i hope they release kernel source so people will want to buy it and develop for it.
Official specs of Xiaomi Mi4:

Do we use MI4 in other countries?
Hi all,
If we buy MI4 at China, could we use it with sim card other countries? Is there a World version?
Please tell about this issue.
Thanks
This will be a beastly phone, i saw the design online and it's pretty nice .
It's not as good designed as HTC M8 or LG G3 but in combination with 3GB RAM Memory and 2,5 Ghz quadcore with cheap price compared to LG G3 is it a top choice for people that want a good phone
Cheers !

[Review] JIAYU G2F WCDMA

The JIAYU G2F WCDMA was announced really long ago and after long delay if was finally available on June . it was ordered from Banggood and arrived after 16 days
Compering to JIAYU F1 - it's very beautiful device and look much more premium.
I have also made custum CWM recovery for it vie MTK DroidTools you can download it from NeedRom:
http://www.needrom.com/mobile/cwm-for-g2f-wcdma/

Hardware
OS: Android 4.2.2
CPU: Mediatek MTK6582 1.3Ghz Quad-core
GPU: Mali400
Memory: 1 GB RAM / 4 GB Storage
External Storage: MicroSD up to 64GB
Screen:4.3” (800×480) display - GorillaGlass2
Notification LED
Rear-facing Camera: 8MP with 1080p video at 30fps
Front-facing Camera: 2 MP
Wireless: Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n
Battery: 2200 mAh (removable)
Appearance and build quality:
The JIAYU G2F seems well built, feels solid in hand and looks really good, on the sides it's real metal frame painted in black (unlike in F1) that contribute to the premium appearance.
The dimensions are almost the same like at 4" JIAYU F1- but in G2F you get 4.3" OGS display .
On the top you got the Power button + 3.5mm headphone jack.
On left it's the volume rocker -doesn't feels loose.
On the button there is microUSB port+ Mic
The back of the device - you can see the regular Sim slot+ microSD slot (+comparison to JIAYU F1):
Actual device weight- 132.5g
Size comperrison VS JIAYU F1:
Call Quality and Speaker:
The call quality is Good even little bit better then JIAYU F1 , the speaker is loud enough with average quality.
Android "4.2.2"
JIAYU G2F comes with android JB 4.2.2, some chines apps were pre-installed that I have deleted them after gaining root access with Frameroot app :good:.
The Ui is nice, and it smooth and I hope JIAYU will release Android 4.4.2 KitKat fir this device.
I must menttion that this rom forces you to get SD-card since all the free ROM (2.3GB) from built-in 4GB is used for app partition- so you must get SD-Card if you like to use camera and etc'.
Display:
JIAYU G2F uses 4.3" 480P IPS OGS panel, the colors are vivid, great viewing angels and good brightness for outdoor use.
The touch screen is responsive and accurate- I have no complaint about the screen & digitizer quality .
Some user were unhappy that the resolution was downgraded to 480P from 720P on TD-SCDMA model, but for my opinion it is OK PPI for 4.3" display + the OGS panel looks better.
Camera:
The JIAYU G2F comes with 8MP OV8825 back camera sensor and 2MP front camera sensor:
Compering to its cheaper brother -the F1, this camera quality looks nice, for ~105$ device it performs really good.
Here are some Samples images from the back camera- Click for 100% size:
GPS:
I have tested the GPS over short trip- had no problems, the First fix can take up-to 30sec but afterwords the fix is fast and GPS performs OK.
Wi-Fi:
Wi-Fi reception is average - not the best I have seen - but I had no problems even in The most distant point in the house..
MTK 6582 Performance:
The MTK6582 Quad-Core got really popular , replacing the good old MTK6589/T and now we can find this Quad -Core in devices under 100$!
MTK6582 offers really good performance in very affordable price, now you can find this SOC in smartphones running Android 4.4.2 KitKat under 100$ with free shipping!.
For 480P/720P displays this SOC offers fluid experiences and lag free UI Transition Animation.
AntutuX:
GFX Bench
NenaMark
Basemark OS2
Battery:
The JIAYU G2F comes with 2200mAh battery, it looks that the capacity rating is legit- it weighs 43.3grams:
The interesting thing is that the G2F battery is identical to F1 battery and only the chemistry is different (3.8V for F1/3.7V for G2F).
The battery life is good, with such spec's it can last 2 days of normal use.
Conclusion
THe JIAYU G2F looks like really nice device, it has great design, solid build, great performance and really nice 4.3" OGS display ,
I just wish JIAYU used 720P OGS dispaly and it could be really great Smartphone.
My Score: 9/10 .
IF you liked my review - you are welcome to hit "THANKS" button
Thanks for the great review! I'm looking for new phone to replace my GSII and this could be interesting.

No, unfortunately there's nothing beyond JB now.
Perfect Review! Thanks. Now i know that the Xmas surprise for my wife works, she likes the size of her F1 but not the camera, and you said that g2f cam is better.
My wife has it now a few days. The Cam, the Display is better and it looks much more nice, not so thick. I rooted it. Yesterday the LED was from ghosthand shining and after the phone was freezing. Only put the Batterie out was the way to start it new. Today it freezes while writing whatsapp (Touchpal keyboard). If there are more hangouts i must flash the Stockrom or another Rom again i think...?
Great phone, but the freezing during charging is annoying, happens almost every night, in the morning the green led is on and the phone is dead until you take the battery out.
Wife is pretty pissed as she uses the phone as an alarm clock...
Checked with Jiayu, found several identical complaints on their store page, all of them followed by a note from Jiayu saying they will contact the person via Email with a new ROM that would fix it...
Wrote a comment, I'll update if I get the new ROM.
The freeze on charging issue is a problem of the 0.36 firmware version, that I also have.
I ask with many mail to jiayu the same firmware or upgrade that you talking about: in his FAQ it talking that send in mail some correction or that it have posted on his site (??? WERE ???) the firmaware.
If anyone know were, or have the firmware please send a link.
Meanwhile to solve the problem, the solution is very simple: once put in charge the phone performed a reboot. This will free the ram (I think it's all over them the problem: the RAM dont refresh) in the morning you will find the phone on and not freeze. To reboot I found convenient install reboot widget (i can't post url, search in play store) with a tap will reboot the device.
Jiayu G2F display problem.
Nice phone. But 4 months after the purchase and decent usage, the display starts to lose its brigthness.
Just two days ago, brigthness dramaticaly lowered, and now it is almost imposible to read it on the daylight.
The problem is caused by hardware, because I had tried many ways, reseting, changind the settings. I even bootloaded factory test menu in chinese, and there is no help with that at all.
What can I do ? Phone was bought in China, i doubt there is a waranty.

[SPECS] LG G Flex 2 Specifications

Hey all
This is LG's second attempt in the flex series of smartphones. This version features an updated 1080p screen from the outgoing 720p display found in the first version, but LG has made the decision to reduce the display size to 5.5 inches from 6 inches, making the device a little more pocket friendly. LG have also increased the curve from 2 points to 4, they claim making the device feel even more natural in the hand. The device is also one of the first to boast the snapdragon 810 chipset, which offers 64 bit instruction set and access to LPDDR4 RAM. The processor itself is made using a 20nm process, increasing the devices power efficiency. The flex 2 also offers the latest Adreno™ 430 GPU, offering 30% better performance, 20% less power usage than last generation of snapdragon chipset. Coming in with 2 versions, a 16 GB with 2 GB of RAM and a 32 GB offering 3 GB.
But the standout feature is that curved display, what do members make of it, useful feature, or just another gimmick?

just another useless phone from LG
seems like it could be an interesting toy
Wonder if there's any chance it'll get wireless charging.
Silly to ask for, but it's become so convenient that I think I'd miss it.

Doubt it, if you flex it a bit now and then it would break the coil.
To be honest, the phone curving is really note useful.

Maybe not for you, but for us who owned or used a G Flex mostly loves it. There are millions of other flat phones, you didn't need to come here and waste time.
I am disappointed in the RAM. They should be offering 3 standard, with an option for 4. Other than that, it is impressive.
why are they showing a photo of the first g flex in this forum? also it looks like a nice device but i may stay clear of any devices that release with the s810 until they revise it because of overheating.

Any person on XDA would read reviews before buying a device. We'll see by the end of the week, when south Korea gets the first batch, if there is any problem and if so how bad it is. My guess is it's not as bad as media rumours make it sound.
Awesome phone. Will buy soon.

It was a strange situation... I preordered on the 23rd, but my order was canceled. I ordered again today. The first time, the 공시지원금 (not sure how to translate...) was missing. The second time, it was added (so the phone was MUCH cheaper!!). I think all the preorders were canceled to add the 공시지원금.
I think the phone was also available in a few stores starting today, so there should be some unboxings soon.

More mp doesn't = better camera
Infact in many cases it will give worse shots in anything but ideal lighting conditions.

Thats generalizing saying more mp doesnt equal a better camera and true to a point only.
My note 4 takes far better shots than my note 3 or 2 and guess what..more mp.
In your thinking it should be worse lol. We all know there is much more to a camera than mp dude...goes without saying pretty much.
Perhaps i should have just said im surprised they didnt improve the camera lol?

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like it's the only factor, it just seemed that you really wanted more mp. Apparently they have made some improvements to the ois and the software so it may well give better images than the g3 anyway.

Cheap Octa-core phone: UleFone Be X

The UleFone Be X is probably one of the cheapest phones around with an Octa-core chipset. The phone looks good (in my opinion at least ) and the fact that it's just 4.5" inch is a big plus in my opinion! I just don't like all those 5" inch or bigger models. What do you think about it?
Specs:
- 4.5" inch qHD screen

UleFone Be X
I'll buy one
Some days ago I discovered this device. I am thinking about buying one. Cheap, dual-sim, not big. The only handicap it has the 1GB memory. And the fear from the main camera's pics.
So I have to wait for the first test. In my opinion it could be a best buy.
Okokok

The UleFone Be X is probably one of the cheapest phones around with an Octa-core chipset. The phone looks good (in my opinion at least ) and the fact that it's just 4.5" inch is a big plus in my opinion! I just don't like all those 5" inch or bigger models. What do you think about it?
Specs:
- 4.5" inch qHD screen
- 1.4GHz Mediatek MT6852M
- 1GB RAM
- 8 megapixel camera
- 8GB storage
- 1900mAh battery
Sure ok ok good phone, the best phone for the price.
But let's talk serious things. How to root? XD

I have the phone at home for a short while now (review coming soon) and to be honest it's quite a good phone. Have been surprised by it's quality. I'll let you guys know when the review is in!

MIUI
If you want MIUI (stable & fixed version ROM) for Ulefone Be X. You can find it on 4PDA forum, MIUI v6 5.8.6, English Installation instructions included. Or on needrom an old version MIUI 5.7.23.
I have a dual SIM uleFone Be X. It's a great little cheap phone, and I've had no problems since I bought it last November.
The other day I noticed there was no signal for both SIM/networks.
At first I thought it was due to the weather, but then I noticed there was no signal in other areas as well.
I soon realized it basically doesn't connect to any network anymore.
So I have tried the following, but no success:
- Switching Airplane mode on/off
- Booting in safe mode
- Automatic search of network: "Cannot connect to this network at the moment. Try again later"
- Manual search of network: "Error while searching for networks"
- Reset APNs to default
- Turn off phone, remove battery, remove SIMs, wait, re-insert SIMs, turning back on
- Insert SIMs one by one while phone is on and on charge
- Preferred network (from the Phone Info menu) is set to WCDMA preferred
- Turn radio off and on again from system menu
Worth a note:
- IMEI numbers are recognised
- Tried with several SIM cards, in both slots, none works
- Same SIM cards work just fine in other phones
Any ideas? Faulty hardware? It literally happened from one day to another.
For what is worth, before the problem occurred I flew from one country to another. During the flight I had airplane mode on, but for a brief moment I switched it off to see if I could get any mobile and GPS signal and check my current position. Could the phone still be stuck at 10k feet in the air?
I think networks disappeared after the flight, but I am not 100% sure. Could have been before, or just after.
Hi!
I've couldn't find anything about Ulefone X, This threat is the closest I've found. I don't think is the same
My phone as arrived 5 days ago, yesterday as received an update to correct some stuff, and did.
But now, occasionally, there's a blank layer over the screen that make very difficult to see what's under that layer. It's not fully opaque but very annoying.
Does someone know how to prevent this?
Thank you.

I have preordered from Amazon UK.
my HTC One feels old now and I really need the larger screen size. I mainly do web browsing, emails, youtube, messaging, social media and taking pictures on my phone, I don't game anymore on mobiles.
I think this fits the bill nicely without the need for the latest snapdragon. The reviews confirm the snapdragon 615 is decent but one of the biggest things I look forward to is the immense battery. Phonearena tested it getting 10 hours screen time which should give 2 days usage easy. The camera is said to be very decent and the build quality top notch. I'm getting a free powerbank VOOC charger with mine which is a real bonus....don't think you can get fast charging powerbanks for other phones.
cant say I want anymore and the price seems right....

For me is not really important, I think I have used NFC about two or three times since I have my Nexus 5.
Usually to share locations, maps or things like that, but that can also be achieved by other means.
Samsung Pay, Google Pay, that will take eons to arrive to Spain...

not really bothered by it - for contactless payments i use my payment card anyway, id rather that than having to get my phone out every time i want to pay - too cumbersome using a phone for contactless payment.

Do not buy Oppo phones now. Their rom quality and update are very bad. They just do good on hardware, but do not know how to fix problems and will delay Rom update many times. Almost their Roms are betas!
Yes but: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/expanding-the-cm-device-family
Without good source code, without good driver, it will be very hard to make good stable open source Rom. You just always live with alpha, beta Rom
I think Cyanogenmod are getting dev supplies from Oppo so we'll have to wait and see
You have to see this to believe it!

Oh not at all The screen shows the current going into the phone from original charger. It is blasting fast compare to other phones. It is called VOOC charging and it basically push up to 4A into the phone`s battery!!! The screen shows 3.3A but you have to calculate electric consumption of running phone with screen lit on, so it can be 4A easy! Love it!

Previous gen, Oppo charge abit faster but now nothing special compare to Samsung S6/Note 5, Meizu Pro 5. Oppo PR 1/2 the truth: fast charge but not say anything about fast drain!
