portable chargers (battery packs) - X Style (Pure) Accessories

which, if any, battery packs compatible with the moto x pe turbo charging?

To be honest I've never heard of a portable charger that actually does Turbo charging. You're better off getting a decent portable Charger from Lumsing off of Amazon. I suggest the 8000 Model seeing as how It's already blazingly fast when it comes to charging anything i used it on.

Aukey has one. It as recently favouravly reviewed here.

Have you seen this in the description?
Compatible models: Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge/Edge+, Note 5, Note 4/Edge, Nexus 6, Sony Xperia Z4, Z4 Tablet, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, Z2 Tablet, Motorola Droid Turbo, Moto X 2014, HTC One M9, HTC One (M8), One Remix (Verizon Mini 2), Desire EYE, LG G Flex2, G4, Xiaomi Mi3, Mi4, Mi Note, Sharp Aquos Pad,Zeta,Sharp SH01G/02G,Fujitsu Arrows NX,F-02G,F-03G,F-05F,Kyocera Urbano L03,LeTV One Max,Pro,Panasonic CM-1,and more (Moto X Pure Edition 2015 not supported)
What's up with this? Does it work?
Edit: If you scan through answered questions, it appears that this does not work with the Moto X Pure.

When I suggested this model the Moto X was not yet tested. It was later discovered that there are some problems (some people have it working, some not).
ATM it seems the suggestion is wrong, yes. People seem to be having better luck with Aukey's 15.000mAh model.

Thanks. I just looked at some Q&A from the Aukey 15000mAh and there are some comments that state that it won't work with the Motorola X Pure.

I can approve that there is no problems with "Anker PowerCore+ 10050mAh", also quick charge 2.0 is working.

Works fine for me. Show turbo power connected and everything

I have been using this dock for some days now. And it has been working great for me also. I also have mine plugged into a Motorola Turbo Charger 15 wall wart. It shows as TurboCharging when connected. So the cable has to be USB 2.0.

You have to pair it with last year's Motorola Turbo Charger brick. It won't do it by itself.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
I see. I did pair it with a charger that does give me turbo when connected directly. But it seems to lose turbo once I put the cradle in between by phone and my quick charger. I will try with another charger I have and see if I get better results.
Do you have a link for the one you can confirm works for you?

Try docking with the screen unlocked. You should see the TurboCharge message show up. It's been working for me with the dock and 15 TurboCharge wall plug.
You can also try docking with the device totally off. You will see the TurboCharge message for sure then.
And of course, the device has to be below 100% charged when trying.
You sirs are correct. Getting Turbo through the craddle.
Thanks!!!

Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible Charger Within US $15

Hello,
Can anyone share few good Qualcomm QC2.0 compatible chargers for approximately US $15 to $17 (including shipping) from ebay.com that can be shipped to India?
I have never bought anything rather than a back cover once from ebay.com (as we have ebay.in here in India) and therefore I can't make up mind from whom to buy and which brand to buy.
Do share some of the trustable products and sellers.
Thank you in advance.

I also use this as my secondary charger and it does the job well. would recommend
I tried buying the charger but got error in App.
Continued the payment process in website and order did not wen through but money got deducted from Bank.
I am using also the [Qualcomm Certified] Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 18W USB Turbo Wall Charger, got it from Amazon.
It works as expected, i recommend
Is tronsmort good as a turbo charger? That's the only one available on amazon India. Which power output would be the right fit for moto play?
I believe that the tron smart brand is reputable, other users have had good luck with them.
The thing to remember is that regardless of the brand name it should be "Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0" certified, sometimes referred to QC 2.0.
As long as it has that specification it should charge your Moto X Play in turbo charge mode.
@brom25, @Azoss Bought the charger at last. It's already got shipped and shows 15-30 days of expected delivery time.
As i stated earlier my money got deducted but the order failed. Do you know how can I get it back? I contact Ali Express support team but they threw their hands in the air stating they have no idea about it and that i should contact my bank.
I will check with the bank tomorrow but do you all have any idea that can help me get my money back?
Thanks in advance.
Mmmh weird, I've been ordering on Aliexpress for two years now and never had any issue. Try using the "Open A Dispute" on your order should be fine.
I both have tronsmart home and in my car, both quick charge 2.0. Works awesome.

Aukey QC 2.0
I used to buy and use a Aukey QC 2.0 certified by Qualcomm on my Moto Droid turbo. It worked fine and actual activated turbo charge on the phone. It heats a bit, but overall fine.
I think that it will work on X PLay as it did on Droid turbo.

I bought the same charger. I won't say that it heats. Ya sometimes it does feel a bit warm when I plug in at really critical level of battery like 5% or so. Else all good and worth the money.

[INFO] Charger Specs & Screen Quality Variation with new lot of Moto G 4 Plus

01: Today one of my friend received his Moto G4 Plus (32/3) with a USB charger (Charger + USB cable)
Got much difference in output detail (refer snap of both)
I think this is due to our gov regulations (BIS) implementation over all OEM chargers/Batteries.
If charger interchanged with ( USB charger for old phone & vice-versa) than for sure it will affect performance / life of battery wrt given config.

02: Another difference noted was on screen quality.
All new phones except lot of 18th May phone have dull screen (refer snaps)
Old lot phone (ordered on 18th May have more brighter & yellowish type of screen, but all new lot phone have dull color screen)
Might be this is due to vendor change, but with quality degrade of screen.
Big difference in power output!
screen quality variation added.
This is a big reveal bro. I was wondering why most of the reviewers were calling it a great screen even though i felt that it was a little dull n yellowish. Now i know why! Got lucky on the charger front though..

As par my understanding each OEM do this (Cost reduction in price to increase profit margin) of product once its getting successful in market.
But this time its height of Quality ignorance. Was shocked to see quality difference at Screen even on visual level.

Have a look at the images. The new devices with detachable usb cables are made in India and are manufactured by Flextronics Technology India and the manufacturing date is 6/2016. Whereas the old devices are made in China by Motorola Mobile technologies manufacturing date 5/2016.
Mandatory BIS certification may be one of reason why they adopted Indian manufacturer. China supplier may not have certified till date..

I don't think overheating while charging was that much of a bother as it is a tradeoff for quick charging. It is the overheating during the gaming and camera usage that is the problem. They did not need to change the charger...

USB-A to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Cables

The Note 7 (Snapdragon) is one of the very first phones to support USB 3.1 (aka USB 3.1/gen 2) and is thus the first to be technically Type C compliant. This is NOT the same as the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, LG G5 or HTC 10. Cables you've used for these products are not the same as what we're looking for in regards to the Note 7.
Here you will find links to cables that meet the correct specifications for a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type A to Type C connector
***The American Snapdragon Note 7 is USB 3.1 and comes with a cable that supports USB 3.1 @ 10Gbps with a 3A output for charging.

The snapdragon variant note 7 has 3.1 I believe.
There is no such thing as USB C 3.1, it's one or the other. USB 3.1 or USB C, they run at the same speeds but have different connections.

I went ahead and bought this five pack from Aukey (never had a problem with them) for $25.

I'm not specifically sure which ones these are without a link to them but from looking up Aukey on Amazon, they do not appear to have any USB-C 3.1 cables yet.
Sorry I'm still a new user so I can't post links. It looks like the 5 pack is sold out . They have a 3 pack of 3 foot cables available for $17.

No problem. These are indeed USB 3.0 instead of 3.1. Very nice looking cables, though.
I have 3 of these. They work great on my N6P. amazon

I split the URL cuz I can't post links yet.
Have you seen these?

I'm glad you noticed that, damn I thought they were 3.1. It was still a good deal though so no harm, guess I might have to find me a 3.1 cable just for my pc, so I can get the fastest transfer speed from my SSD. I like to put new movies on my phone everyday so I'm not bored at work
If you end up finding a good one let me know.

This one only supports 2.4A charging. N6P is not the same as our beloved Note 7 which supports 3A for charging

Reading reviews, this one fails the Check-r App check. This means it is not compliant. Stay away from this one.

Don't worry, mate. We will find them together!
I'm thinking that after the Note 7 has been around a little bit that we'll start seeing the right cables from some of the more popular manufacturers.

Qi charging combo for my Google Pixel XL? (Wireless charging)

I have been trying to get wireless charging working on my new Google Pixel. It seems the following combo is a bust...
Fone Salesman UniQi (receiver) - Thin Qi Wireless Charging Receiver for USB Type C phones such as Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, 5X, HTC 10, LG G5, G5 SE, OnePlus 2, 3 (Type-C, USB-C)
http://a.co/cIeimkt
Yootech T500PB (pad) - Wireless Charger,Yootech Qi Wireless Charging Pad for Galaxy S7,Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6,Note 5 ,S6 Edge+,S6 Edge, Nexus 4/5/6 and All Qi-Enabled Devices
http://a.co/8tTHQvg
Samsung EP-PG920IBUGUS (pad) - Samsung EP-PG920IBUGUS Wireless Charging Pad with 2A Wall Charger- Black Sapphire
http://a.co/5PH84Nf
Kroma 5825856 (pad) - Wireless Charger, Kroma Wireless Charging Pad for Galaxy S7,Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6,Note 5 ,S6 Edge+,S6 Edge, Nexus 4/5/6 and All Qi-Enabled Devices
http://a.co/7zBruMl
I have tried the UniQi receiver with all three charging pads listed above with very little success. It does show on my phone that it is charging but the phone never increases in stored charge. For example, went to bed last night with phone at 22% and woke up to a 1% battery life.
Any ideas what combo of Qi receiver and Qi wireless charger that will work with the new Google Pixel XL?
Supposedly this one works according to the Amazon reviews. Very interested in this as well as I plan on getting an XL soon.

Actually, looking at that Amazon listing (I checked it out before too) it shows the following reviews (both critical and not). The thing that concerns me is the ones that are not critical mostly just talk about how they are happy to have wireless charging. Those reviews never go into detail on it actually working or not like the critical reviews do...
1.0 out of 5 stars - Doesn't charge, only maintains battery level.
By: JayZeeon - December 1, 2016
Does not charge my Pixel XL with either of the charging pads I own. It does show charging on my phone when I place it on the charging pad, but the battery level maintains it's level (doesn't decrease or increase), so it is trickling in a charge, just not enough to increase the battery charge over time.

5.0 out of 5 stars - I'm so happy to have found this solution for my Pixel XL!
By: Sojourneron - November 30, 2016
Color: Type-C|Verified Purchase
Only had this for a couple days now, but it's been solid so far. I've been diggin' my new Pixel XL, except for the fact that it doesn't have wireless charging. I have wireless charging pads in so many places because my phones have had them for years now. It sucked having to go back to plugs, even if they do offer rapid charging (this wireless solution does not). I'm so happy to have found this solution!

5.0 out of 5 stars - Works better than expected

Charged fairly quickly considering it is not charging under 'fast-charge'. Tucked behind a thing hard snap on case to my Pixel XL and is hardly noticeable.

Where the hell is the "Like" button on these damn forums!
This "good" icon does not do the thumb up justice.
:good:
The thing that caught my attention is the questions. One asked if it covered fingerprint scanner and the answer was yes, partially. This seems like a non-starter for me if it covers scanner.

Yea, that's not a big deal at all. By default the design has a long power ribbon. You can bend/fold the ribbon to make it the size you need it to be with no issues.
In my case the one I bought from fonesalesman (which so far has been a BAD experience) was sized almost perfect for my XL. After putting on my back shell case only a tiny little bit (the size was so tiny it was about the thickness of a credit card) was exposed (nothing actually covered the scanner at all).
Interesting Development on this charging pad... As of a couple weeks ago it no longer charges my Pixel XL if it is powered on. It will charge it if I turn off the phone. My USB charging doc has a Amp meter on it & while the phone is on I have to adjust very carefully where I place the phone to get .5 A to show. No Charging icon will appear. Without much care of placement it will show around .3A. While off both figures will double to around .6A & 1.0A. I have another pad on order just in case it is the issue, but has anyone else suddenly seen an issue with their Qi solution?
