The announced SnapDragon is the dual core version if I'm not wrong.
It's just a dream concept
But many websites are confirming it..!!!

I am afraid he is right.
New WP7 reminds me of crappy iPhone interface.
Instead of getting more features and opportunities they're copying Apple style.
Hopefully with WP7.3 we will get copy and paste and with 7.4 maybe multiasking.
I will go for Android when I will change my HD2.

The first item on the list says "1.5 GB Qualcomm Snapdragon.."
ZOMG!!11!! A PHONE PROCESSOR WITH A GIG AND A HALF OF COMPUTING POWER
..what? Does that make sense to you? No. Use your head next time, man
phone processors are at 1 ghz and so far maximum processing power is 1.3 ghz overclocked so its not out of the realm of possibility

I think the point was it says GB not ghz
Edit: Also if it was an official "document" or whatever it would say "Windows Phone Series 7" or whatever the official name is, not "Windows Mobile 7"
Those specs are obviously fake...1200x800 is not a supported resolution.
I think it's a fake ... but I hope so much that is true!
If the HD3 will keep the promises .. for me it will be the first PDA without the physical keyboard!
PS: Just this HD3 can make me leave my Touch Pro 2!
Seems like a rumor for now...but it could show up in the Fall.
I'm sure there will be a successor to the HD2 running Windows Phone 7 Series, but I think they will choose a different name than HD3 considering it's a completely new OS. And it will definitely have a screen res of 800x480, no higher.

It's possible that the forthcoming HTC Obsession will actually be a merger between the HD and Diamond product lines - in other words that there won't be a direct successor to the HD2 at all.
And yes, the "HD3 specs" posted earlier are a very obvious fake. We now know that WP7S doesn't support resolutions higher than 800x480; we also know that no WP7S device will be able to use a removable memory card. I really wish people would stop creating threads about these "specs" - there must have been nearly a dozen different threads about them, now. They don't get any less fake for being posted multiple times.
Well have been using HD2 for a while & was just curious, so just started this thread..!!!
Hope we get WM7 or Android sooner on HD2..!!!

800x4800 ? Wow, that's one hell of a resolution
Since when is processor speed measured in GB? And wow they gone really far for 1 generation. from DVD qualitity to 1080p.
Also everybody is talking about HD3. Where is TP3? I want to see some new HTC models with HW KB.
Also i wish that HTC would make some tegra models instead of qualcomm. Maybe then they will provide better drivers.
I need a phone Like this;
Look like EVO 4G
HTC Plz bulid it,make it,....
•Support communications standards 3G,(Alltel)
•Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon, 1 GHz
•Capacitive 4.0 inch screen with technology pinch-to-zoom and tactile feedback (Super Amoled or Amoled [16 Million colours])
•Android 2.2
•HTC Sense to Friend Stream
•Microphone on keyboard for speak to write!
•Visual Voicemail
•5 megapixel camera with auto focus, dual LED flash
•Additional camera 1.3 megapixels
•Recording HD-video (720p)
•Reproduction of images, presentations and videos in HD-quality (720p) via HDMI
•3.5 mm audio connector
•FM radio
•Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR support
•Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g
•Digital compass, accelerometer, proximity sensor, light sensor, GPS
•Battery: 1500 mAh Lithium-ion
•Memory: 1 GB non-volatile memory (ROM), 1 GB of memory (RAM)
no new idea
So by posting some spec here do you think HTC will design it?

Yeah, online forums aren't really a direct route to give ideas to the engeneers, maybe if you knew the top people at HTC and talked to them for a while and gained influence, then mayyybeee this will come out, but not like this. This is like asking a T-Mobile rep at a Corperate store to make a special unlimited everything plan for 30 bucks. Its not going to happen. . . .

Don't you think the developers who know how to develop AOSP already know? They are WAY ahead of you. If you checked the dev forum instead of being lazy you would see that there is already an alpha of CyanogenMod 14.1 which is built from sourcecode.
The problem is not MTK sources, it's Redmi Note 4 sources. Drivers for the camera and the fingerprint reader and stuff like that.
Sorry if you think I'm being rude, but this is borderline a troll/spam thread. You get people half excited from the title then share a repo link that any child could find in Google.
Please leave the development to the developers.

And yet you decided to try your luck and get another MTK device?
Most of us are aware that getting an MTK device means no AOSP. We get them because they have a high price-to-performance ratio.
Personally I am glad to move away from the Xperia series; it had every AOSP fork under the sun being made for it but they were ALL buggy. It's just torture. If you really want that kind of developer stuff, you should get a Google device.

It may be faster, but it's not better overall. SD 625 is based on newer architecture (14nm) which makes it cooler in load and offer your phone much better battery life. If you don't do serious gaming, the difference in speed is not even noticable (Also SD 650 is gonna throttling much sooner because of higher temperatures, which is point where SD 625 can match it's performance). And about ROMs... You can't be serious! RN3 Pro is year older than RN4X, which is still new device. Of course more people have it therefore more people develop for it. Give it some time, and RN4X gonna excede RN3Pro (even now there is developement for all ROM's I'm interested in and a lot more). Also 625 is newer than 650 so it's gonna be supported longer.

"Better" is subjective. For starters, my X20 Note 4 does not overheat (in fact this is the first I've ever heard about thermal issues on this thing). Secondly, battery life is a non-issue for me - I get ~5 hours SoT which is more than enough to last me a whole day, even two or three if I don't get to charge one night for whatever reason.
The SD is actually probably the same in gaming sine the MTK GPU is underpowered, but in the CPU department the Helio X20 beats the pants off of the SD. You say the speed is not noticeable yet you just admitted you don't even have a Note 4 MTK variant so how do you know? The numbers speak for themselves - the Geekbench score is just too big for it to not be noticeable when under load.
ROM's are a moot point, they don't interest me - only an idiot (or, I suppose, a former fan who regrets their purchase) buys a Xiaomi device and gets rid of MIUI. You can get a Nexus or last-gen Xperia device or whatever for cheaper if you want that crap.
Anyway, you said you don't even have an MTK device, yet you're in here criticizing it, that's like a perfect example of trolling. I'm unsubbing, not gonna waste my time on this anymore.
Personally, I got the Note 4 at the time (right near launch) because I needed a new phone RIGHT NOW, I wasn't going to wait ~6 months for a device that's the same price and only a little bit better - if I waited six months I could of saved more and gotten a high end device. But the SD variant only has two things going for it - better battery life, and support for non-MIUI ROM's - two things that I and many others don't need.
You Said it all Dan..but many users think they know better...

OK let me get this straight. The culprit here is xiaomi and not mediatek for not releasing sources? Is there any chance xiaomi will release sources? How come snapdragon note 4 has so many roms? Neither note 4 has official source from Xiaomi. Difference is that Snapdragon devices can be made to boot from CAF source from Qualcomm due to sheer experience, and the same has not been accomplished with Mediatek's Helio X20 source. That and xda has a massssssssuve preference towards Qualcomm anyways due to repeat positive experiences, so most developers spend the time on Qualcomm devices.

Do you not know that the combo of cpu, camera, soc, on the redmi note 4 is simillar to a lot of other androids lol. And those other androids have their sources released. You know where jm going with this. Redmi note 4 snapdragon having a lot of custom roms is in no way a big thanks to the redmi note ⁴ community itself. Get real.
personally I dislike miui as it has no support for advanced USB OTG features such as gamepad compatibility or being used as a usb keyboard/touchpad mouse for your pc . though at least the MTK chipset on this phone supports 10bit h265 and vp9 which makes it good for long trips. provided most of your trip isn't in direct sunlight.

I see they will get 960fps super slow motion to Mate 10. Will this GPU Turbo fix crazy artifacts in Super slow motion in P20 Pro?
Will we see motion interpolation on Android someday? Like Asus nexus player from 2014 have it or its to soon to ask yet?
Oneplus 7 pro 90hz screen is epic but without true Video player King like MX its not complete.
I too own a 7t pro. 90hz display. Want interpolation badly. Meanwhile, try mov. Currently only mpv supports it.
I'd posted this ~3-4 years back on the dev wishlist , never got a response

Will we see motion interpolation on Android someday? Like Asus nexus player from 2014 have it or its to soon to ask yet?
Oneplus 7 pro 90hz screen is epic but without true Video player King like MX its not complete.

I too own a 7t pro. 90hz display. Want interpolation badly. Meanwhile, try mov. Currently only mpv supports it.

We regret to inform you that motion interpolation is not in our priory list at the moment as it heavily relies on the SW technologies and may not be efficient on mobile devices. However, we will continue to monitor the user feedback and review our decision again if there are more requests on this.
Thank You.
It will be cool with the new ai chips and software in this regard.
Mediatek did it back in 2015 but it was a hardware level feature..

Hope someday it becomes reality for all..(dozens of threads on xda in different sub forums + reddit too all asking for this in the past)

Thanks for the information. We would like to clarify that this's something built into the device. As mentioned in the article, the system will automatically interpolate the frames at rendering time and will work with all apps, including MX. However, third-party apps have no controls over this.
Using SW based motion interpolation may fry your CPU when complex algorithms are used to interpolate the frames. Also, it can lead to stuttering instead of an improved video experience. So, there is very little we can improve this at the moment. However, we will continue to explore the possibilities and support it if it found viable in the future.

Thank you. Tried it and it looks like frame merging, madvr on PC can do it, honestly too blooming hard to watch. Also I cant change ratio of screen or audio track, unusable for me. But idea is nice.

Yeah but 4 years back I think we don’t have enough power right now HW is much stronger I can play 4K via CPU rawpower. We only need someone who can implement it via gpu like other dudes made it with PCs (mirilis splash player, dmitrirender, AMD fluid motion). Sadly not our dudes
Hope someone implement it they can bite a good chunk from a market no one have this feature. I will pay for it on both platforms Android and iOS.

I think hardware acceleration support would be required for this feature as even powerful desktop cpus run hot as **** when using software interpolation & still give dropped frames in most cases.
Gpu assisted solutions like madvr help a lot but still make the gpu's run damn hot!
Mediatek users are lucky to have this because they have 60/120fps interpolation completely hardware accelerated

Unless other companies offer such acceleration or development then I'd agree with Mx player's official reply - that it's near impossible to get this feature while keeping it consistent in performance for all.
(Or maybe some genius does come up with a novel motion estimation / motion compensation algorithm optimised for powerful soc's of today! :fingers-crossed:)

Madvr dont use any interpolation, its only doing frame merging. And nice tonemaping for HDR but honestly any pixel shader can do it with much less power consumption, try potplayer with hdr shader it will give almost the same result.
Dmitrirender only can use right now gpu accelerated frame interpolation, and damn, he can play movies so smooth without any lag at all and my cpu and gpu loading at only 25-30% with 4K HDR content. Have no idea how he achieved it 4 years ago while Nvidia represent same technology only half a year ago and only with RTX. Sadly he wont or cant port it to mobile gpu. So yeah we need a genius again.
Meditek did it.
Mediatek did it with clearmotion on redmi note 2.
Long time ago.
It was a great experience.
No overheating or framedrop.
Hope snapdragon adopt something like that to all future SOC.
SVP Team made it recently if someone interested in, its going closed test right now for Android devices. Working great with 865+ snapdragon it can do [email protected] but for 4K interpolation there are no cpu horsepower yet.

Its time to rejoice bro.
Ask about beta test on SVP developer forum, working great for 1080p as I can tell you. Or have a patience it will come soon.
