If I remember right, that has something to do with a bad partition and you need the correct pit file for our phone, along with the full tar.

What I did
Installed Clockwork through the play store and then clicked on the option to flash it.
I was running a rooted verizon's touchwiz for 4.3 jelly bean on samsung galaxy s3. Someone should probably write that guy and be like hey it doesn't work for your software and firmware versions ... because it checked it and said it was all good. Yeah I'm a noob but it's been 4 months since the last post saying it can't be done and I figured people would have updated their software to work with the nonsense that samsung decided to shove down our throats.
I've followed a few threads now on trying to fix my phone
The one I found most helpful in terms of directions was
ID: 1840030 is the one in particular that I thought would be the most helpful
I download all these packages (and man are they slow to download)
VRALEC fails to flash in odin 3.07 and some of the pictures don't match up (I've tried flashing everything just for the fun of it and it just fails)... Phone still turns on though. I can't find any other versions of odin even on thread titled [27.08.2013 LATEST] Odin 3.09, Odin 1.85 | All versions! | Samsung ROM Flashing Tools.
I'm just an idiot that can't seem to find links but there weren't any there (probably because of the "Mod Edit link removed")

If thats true then u Brick ur fone. But u stated that it powers on. So u can get into DL Mode and Odin the correct file wich would be ML1
Flashing ML1 tar file will lock ur bootloader(WONT BE ABLE TO UNLOCK IT) and unroot it

Directions ID is a bad one (sorry about that). Best I can do is this one here: showthread.php?t=1840030
second:
Brick means that it doesn't turn on. I never said I bricked it.
Things I've done since OP
I found another version of Odin inside one of the zip packages I downloaded. This one at least looks like the pictures that were posted in the thread.
I attempted to reflash VRALEC boot twice and both failed.
What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for an image that will work or
I was trying to backup the stock image and I'm worried I don't even have that now.

Like the other poster I'm still not real sure what you are trying to do but that said sammobile is a good place to find ROMs if you rather not snag files from here. Always check md5 hashes as sometimes downloads can be bad. If your downloaded file is even a little bit corrupted, it will fail to flash potentially creating all sorts of bad things.
Judging from what you've posted from the ODIN MODE data you've tripped KNOX already and AFAIK that cannot be reversed and voided any warranty. Could be wrong as I've not kept up with newer workarounds as I've not needed to do so.
I would suggest taking a deep breath and start to slowly read. Good luck.

Hi,
I bought a bricked Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 and managed to flash stock firmware and booted correctly except for a strange Watermark on screen which showed device specs. Then I tried flashing German Kitkat version thru ODIN which failed, now the device is stuck on Galaxy Note 10.1 screen even though I have tried flashing ODIN many times and it has shown PASS but doesn't go beyond that. It can't even go get into recovery (only can get to ODIN mode). Please help me as i can't go beyond that even though i have searched a lot google, no one seems to have gotten any solution.
34 views but no suggestion!!! It seems mighty developers never bought this phone to suggest something. It's strange ODIN can flash and shows success (firmware or any recovery) but nothing seems to install and make it boot. Pl someone got some idea?

Have you tried flashing a custom rom?.
Just realised you said it wouldn't go into recovery.
Try flashing from another pc
Which version of ODIN are you using?.
No haven't tried custom ROM but probably this device was never rooted but can give that a try. Yes it won't go into recovery at all. I will give try from another PC. I have tried ODIN v. 1.85 and v3.09.

I think it might be a driver issue with your pc if it won't work with v1.85.
Trying reinstalling the Samsung drivers on your pc.
I flashed stock firmware before with the same PC and it worked and I have tried to use same ODIN and same stock firmware which worked before. Even now ODIN says PASS, infact there is no failure at all but device itself is stuck on "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" splash screen. I have tried restarting PC, using different USB ports but ODIN always says PASS without problem but device condition is same. I think may be i should change firmware/ stock recovery even though previously the same worked. I am at a loss, don't know what to do?
P.S: Edit: as i was writing these comments I thought of trying out same german kitkat version which earlier broke my device and this time it succeeded and at least device has come out of that splash screen though it is still stuck samsung animation screen. so i will try more and will update. any suggestions are welcome. thanks
ok, now it's possible to get into stock recovery at least, although it shows "E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)" and " Applied the CSC-code : unknown". What to do now? kindly advise
Finally managed to ODIN a stock firmware to work correctly and device is able to boot but show "Broadband: Unknown". Thanks for your help

Can you check your IMEI if its available in setting/device? If its not your EFS is missing or corrupt.

Thanks a lot for the link. I will go through it deeply and try it out and will come back.
Just some food for thought! Since i bought this device bricked and never knew which firmware it came with and tried different firmwares randomly until i found one that could work only with "Factory Mode". My question;
1. Could it be that I flashed a wrong firmware causing this thing to go Factory Mode?
2. Or must it be corrupt EFS folder?
I am asking because now i rooted my device, it is showing one EFS folder and when i tried to flash Philz recovery over TWRP it gave me error that " This package is for 'c).p4noterf.n8000.GT-N8000' devices; this is a 'p4notewifi'.
E:Unable to mount '/efs'.
Any suggestions? Please
I think this efs folder is generated automatically by the android when it can't find one because when i checked it was an empty folder, nothing inside. so may the issue is of broken efs system folder. Can't create my own IMEI since i have the box and IMEI is written on it.
Does this device use SIM to make calls or just for data download? Couldn't figure out! Is there a simple way to get rid of the "Factory Mode"? may be i don't need all that SIM functionality after all but certainly want to get rid of that "Factory Mode".
Can I try this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39523753&postcount=4
Any suggestions, kindly do suggest if i should do whatever is described in the above post or the ones suggested before written below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111485
Please advise which method should i try. Awaiting eagerly for input
Is it possible to use following tool to repair EFS?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ol-updated-09-06-14-efs-professional-t1308546
Please suggest me something if someone out there know something?
Finally fixed it by using the thread shown above but i have a fake IMEI but factory mode is no longer there and everything is working normally. Is it possible to change IMEI to my own by using methods i have seen on net including youtube? please advise

Mine is wifi+3G version, its called GT-N8000. Mine was bricked before and I flashed it using ODIN (its available everywhere almost) and stock firmware (you need to use the one installed on it from factory, you can find download link from sammobile site but be careful download the one that is specific for you model no.). Then describe your problem may be i can help you.
Hello everyone.
First of all, the questions I have :
Where can I find Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 stock rom file for ODIN?
Which recovery should be used with it?
Boxes I should tick when installing it?
Problem I'm facing :
Tab kept booting over and over and it shows start screen, so I decided to install a custom ROM.
check SlimROM forums and downloaded the 6.0.5.1 recovery and the Slim-p3100-4.4.4.build.9.1-UNOFFICIAL-20150205-2140 ROM
Flashed Recovery via ODIN, then when I tried Wipe Data/Factory Reset, tab just kept restarting as if I never tried Wiping anything.
Read all of the posts on : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/help/soft-bricked-tab-gt-p3100-t3016879
Conclusion : Before I decide whether the device is bai-bai, I should flash a Stock ROM with Pit files and re-parti (I think)
Problem : Can't find the Stock ROM file and Pit file for days now..only ones I found are outdated and links dead.
(some info on which boxes to check in ODIN and ODIN version would be helpful too, noob over here)
Tab used to run ICS.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!
Have you checked sammobile?
Only place to find it will be Samobile, tab has no active development and is ancient with "end of life " issues.
Go to Samobile find firmware, click download, go fishing and come home 12 hrs later and maybe it will be downloaded completely.
If you're lucky flash with Odin and if it works leave it alone.

So I found the PIT file and the stock ROM tar file (Thanks for the tip by the way) and it still didn't work.
It's as if I hadn't done a thing in the first place!!
Stock ROM same as it is, nothing changed AT ALL..all that happened after is that Custom Recovery was removed.
So I entered Normal Recovery and Factory Reset, on doing so, it reset the Stock ROM. I rooted the tab this time and still haven't done anything else.
Tab started rebooting on its own again and soon wont stop rebooting.
All I found on the forums was that the only solution is the Stock Tar + PIT file, but that didn't have any effect at all..
Anyone could tell me how to proceed to install a custom ROM just to get rid of this faulty damn Stock one?
Thanks in advance!
Your help is really appreciated!!
Maybe you need tar.md5 file of a custom rom
Your best bet is to read through this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3016879 you may find something to guide you.

I was able to rescue mine with heimdall and the heimdall frontend.

try using a pit file with odin. im thinking it wouldnt have an error if you had the pit file.
to answer your question "what have i done?" it would seem, you changed things you didnt understand and didnt realize the consequences, resulting in a big @SS mess
dont do that
Like I said odin won't work because of unexpected partition layout.
I'm fully aware of the consequences however I will be the recipient
Of a Samsung galaxy note 4 next week so I was just experimenting
And I will definitely not be rooting that

ill just assume you dont know what a pit file is, and ill move on. good luck!
No need to assume, I'll be honest I've no idea what a pit file is or how to use one
Etc etc, however I'd be interested to learn if you can give me the basics, everybody has to start somewhere and the only way to progress is if people share the knowledge,
So what do you know that can help me??

go to your devices forum where the return to stock post is, and see if there is a pit file for whatever version you have. if not, try a search for pit over your general and q&a forums. im sure you will find some, just need to match them to the stock files.
on odin, there is a pit box, check it and link your pit file.
I'd just like to let you know I have managed to sort my phone out
I got a clockwork mod ,and now I'm using something called CyanogenMod
I'm not quite sure how I have managed to achieve this but I have my WiFi connected
to my phone again, Odin is installed and working with no unexpected partition layout
Problems, however my SD card won't mount and I can't seem to get Google playstore
But for now its a small price to pay considering where I was this afternoon. I think I've done well
Hello, and i did something wrong there.
So now the status of the S6 is it boots, only no network, phone, bluetooth, imei , baseband.
I spend this entire day figuring this thing out. And ive read as soons as the baseband is borked you have to flash a stock rom.
Now that does make sense to me, so i starte looking.
I have the interational version of the s6 "sm-g920F". looking for firmware with many bearing the same number as i need and then some.
Ive tried the ones that sound familliar, and closest. so i got some from UK Vodaphone/.
G920FXXU1AOCV_G920FPHN1AOCN_G920FXXU1AOCW_HOME.tar
G920FXXS3DPEO_G920FOLB3DPDG_G920FXXU3DPDA_HOME.tar
Usinh odin ( Odin-3.10.6-CP-BL-Enabled) to flash it fails everytime, withe a message on screen .
" sw rev. check fail. device: 5. Binary 1 "
My understanding those two numders should be the same, and that is the main reason it will not work.,
I see the problem, but i do not know how to fix this.
flashing
i installed recouvery twrp, adn it cant flash any rom no issues there.
odin , can flash twrp if needed, also no errors there,.
could someone shed some light on this issue.
google is your friend.. i do understand. but i got way to many solutions for one different problem. it seems everyone knows how to fix it. but it usually wont work..
\
thank you
Restore efs backup via twrp
Yeah your EFS partition got damaged somehow. If you're lucky and made a backup of EFS you can restore it, if not, well, you're basically screwed.

"If you have already back up your phone with TWRP"
I have the same problem but I got it solved by myself and you can do it too.
" sw rev. check fail. device: 5. Binary 1 " is because you can't go back to earlier versions of Android and it is not problem it a Samsung's way
You see it sboot.bin problem and you can just skip that and use TWRP
OR You can use latest 7.0 nougat with Odin 3.10
After you have wipe everything with 1. wipe option wipe data write YES
And 2 wipe option other wipe option wipe one by one all partitions
First you can try to flash stock rom like 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 or "6.0.1 maybe" without shoot.bin you can use 7z zip program and Tar Tool
To do that
Then try everything like nand erase all T flash if you have pit file in it you can use pit file and Re Partition but not " lock phone to flash it "
Then maybe "I did" you can see SYSTEM STATUS: Official
But that doesn't matter
To the end you will see Custom on DOWNLOAD MODE
You need your original EFS Folder If you have back up your phone
Did you?
---------- Post added at 05:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 AM ----------
I got another idea maybe you can try to find your phones Original Firmware like mine is from DBT Germany but I'm from Greenland
You can maybe track down your phones Original Firmware name somewhere in your phones files copy all your files with TWRP And research it
If find it you can try to Download Original stock Firmware
And try to restore EFS folder
First you have to copy all files just in case backup
Then delete efs folder maybe it can reset it
Then install stock Firmware maybe it can be fixed like that I don't know
I just have copy my EFS folder from TWRP BACKUP but it has password problem but I use 7z zip program to extract files
It is very tricky to copy files there are 2 type of files you have to copy the right file from EFS folder
---------- Post added at 05:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:37 AM ----------
I have deleted my EFS Folder before adding copy's from my EFS Folder
