As we all know the sound quality of the headset came with the moto g3 is very bad so i used other headset for listing music but after every 1-2 min the voice dialer pop-ups as show in the below screen shots and also song skips automatically... i tried to find out solution but that didnt worked plzz help me...
Sorry, dude, I've never use the headsets that come with the phone !
But, can I ask if the same problem appears when you're using the original phone? Check if the p2 connectors are the same between the one you're using right now and the one that came with the G3.

P2 connectors means? The headphone jack?
Yeah, sorry about that! The P2 connector is the one used on the headphone jack . Try to spot any differences between them (some have 2 or 3 solid lines in the middle).

yeah did... in original headset it works just fine... only appears when using that another headset
Wow, that's a whole other ballgame... So the problem seems to be if your headset, maybe some faulty wiring since it also has 3 strips like the original...
So, I'd try with a third headset and see if the problem also occurs!
Best of luck!

My vox it's three months old, from one week I started to notice a very disturbing behavior. People are able to hear me but I can''t hear them. It seems like the internal speaker is flawed. If I use the miniUSB head phones it works fine and If I turn on the conference speaker it works too. Otherwise it just doesn''t work anymore. I have soldered directly speaker's wires on the board but the problem it's the same. What can I do?
Please, nobody can help me? I have tried also to add reg key wm6SoundFixRegistryImport but the problem it's the same. I'm sure that other people have this problem.
this seems like a hardware problem which you can get serviced by sending your phone to htc.
No, I can't because I haven't warranty. I'm sure that isn't a hardware problem because I can hear a little rustle.
i m facing exactly same problem as well. spearkerphone works fine but earphone do not worki.. if u find any solution then let me know too...
THe problem it's the speaker, I tried another from a motorala and it work! Where Can I find htc parts?
can u guide me how to open the htc phone to reach earphone speaker u mentioned?

So I just dropped $100 on a set of Klipsch Image S4i headset after reading all the positive reviews and to my disappointment the mic does not work with the G2 at all. Tried them with my buddys 3gs and they work flawlessly.
I knew there would probably be some compatability issues with the controls but I didn't expect the mic to not work at all. Is this true for any headsets that are "made for Iphone?"
It should still work... that's strange. Send it back and get the regular S4's without the mic, and save $25. I have them and they are the best headphones I've ever had.
Do the controls work? Also, are you using the stock ROM? When you say the mic doesn't work, are you talking about using it in a call? Be more specific... it SHOULD be able to work as mics on those things are generally universal.
Headphones works excellent. Some controls work (vol +/- and 3 clicks to reverse track don't work). But mic don't work at all. Not for calls, voice search, or any other application that accept voice input.
My G2 is on factory ROM. Totally unmodified, not even rooted. (don't have a reason to yet)
After some research I have came to the conclusion that iPhones are just made weird. Something about using a different stripe of the jack for ground then standard. I'm just wondering if anyone else ever had this problem before.
I'm thinking about getting the Klipsch Image S4M because I need a headset, lost the factory ones, and don't like using bluetooth. Also I have a wonderful set of sennheiser CX400-II headphones already.
I had the same issue with a pair of $100 Scosche headphones I got. The mic worked perfectly on my dads blackberry, but didn't seem to work on my G2.
However after much fiddling I found if you plug the headphones in just so the mic will work, but its very hard to find that sweet spot.
So I just use them as headphones and unplug them for phone calls, I shouldn't be talking on the phone while riding my motorcycle anyway

may I ask which model scosche do you own?
I wonder if there's any way to write something for the G2 so it can recognize input frmo the S4i. It's weird since it works on the incredible.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I thought I got them from newegg but couldn't find the order. They have a three button control on them and come with like 6 different ear inserts.

That's odd. I was hoping to have no other problem except some of the buttons being non-functional. It's a shame that I have to get rid of this headset

Sorry....wrong thread....nothing to see here! Please move along people!
OP, try to exchange them for the S4a. Those are supposed to be compatible with Android.
Well, since I woke up this old thread anyway....you could try the Headset Button Controller Trial application from the Android Market. This might give you the functionality you are looking for, and if you like it, you can buy the full app for like $3.
Hi.
Today i recieved my earphones which i ordered from Samsung and i noticed that when i press the button they go a lotva lot louder than the maximum volume.
Is there any solution to this problem
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I think i wasn't clear enough.
I ordered these:
h--p://www.samsung.com/nl/consumer/mobile-phone/mobile-phones/mobile-phone-accessories/EHS60ENNBECSTD/index.idx?pagetype=acc_detail&subsubtype=music
They go a lot louder and clearer when i press and hold the button that normally let you awnser a phonecall when you have the earphones plugged in.
It's worser when i use the fm-radio but this effect also applies on mp3's
Sorry if i wasn't clear enough, i hope someone knows what to do about this.

Maybe they're faulty? They look identical to the one that came with my SGS(besides the rubber cover things being white, mine are black), and I don't have that problem.
In fact, when not in a phone call, that button acts as a play/pause button.

The ones which came with my phone didn't have any buttons.
But my sony ericson earphones act the same and the ones i got with my htc legend do it also.
They work fine on my laptop btw.
Must be software related, i just updated to jpu but nothing has changed yet. Is there a setting that i'm missing or something?
Had the same problem. Found out I didn't plug the earphone jack the whole way. Gave it a hard push.. Solved everything

I had the same problem with some headphones designed for the iPhone, So I tapped the Mic button down and since then there fine
You got headphones for iphone. Return them. You notice the exact problem if you plug in the head phones from sgs into a iphone. It's due to samsung using the nokias headset pin layout
Written using grafitti on a Palm VII with 8 megs of ram and overclocked to 32mhz!
Does the tab have the same pin lay-out? Cause i was looking at the samsung p1000 earphones which are designed for the galaxy tab.

I have the same headphones and I wanted to use them with several other phones I bought since my Samsung Galaxy. Roddie1154's answer helped me find a solution: the jack was plugged too deep - I pulled it out for 1 mm and the sound is good also without pressing the button. Now the button works as pause button and it still works with modern phones.
I know many years have passed since original post, but the thread helped me, so I give my solution to the world!
That's caused by inversion of polarity!
I've myself faced this issue very often, and spent a lot of time visiting numerous shops and trying out various earphones; I finally found a couple of compatible ones - one from Nokia, and other from Micromax (EPA065) .
Earphones with mic use TRRS connector, and there are two variants (standards) - OMTP (older) and CTIA (newer). I am guessing that Galaxy S needs earphones that follow the OMTP standard, and thus most of the newer earphones are not compatible. I've observed that most of the earphones that have black rings on the jack (instead of white or gray) work better.
Check out the following links:

If you use a headset/earbuds with an in-line mic to handle calls, I would appreciate it if you could confirm one thing for me.
During a call, do you hear your own voice (and surrounding noise) through your own headset?
I've never had a smartphone send the audio picked up by my own mic straight back to my own ears during calls. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal behavior for this device or if I have a problem.
u can try turning on microphone noise suppression... i bet its the other side using hands free where his/her mic picks up the loudspeaker and sends it back to you... did happen to me a couple of times and was fixed by the other side switching back to earpiece/headset instead of handsfree loudspeaker.. anyways if the problem still exists try upgrading/downgrading F/W .. if that didnt help simply take it back using the warranty
o and might wanna try a different headset if yours could be the culprit

Hi Mazroui, thanks for the response. I'm certain it's my own mic and not the other end. Here's how I tested - Bring up dialer, dial any number, hit call. As soon as I hit call, I can hear all the noise coming in from my own mic into my ears, no one is even on the other end of the line yet as the phone is still ringing. If I rub my finger across the in-line mic of my headset, all the rustling noise is sent right back to myself.
I wish I could say it was the other person on the other end of the line, but I'm definitely hearing the noise from my own mic during calls for some reason.
So I take it your phone doesn't do this?

wow.. definitely not... im using my dead lg g2 headset with 2 in ear plugs.. did u test with a different headset ? im guessing yours is a mono headset like my old blackberry phone 1 ear style... i remember it did that a lot.. although was very clear and loud but simply too irritating

Yeah, I tested with 4 or 5 different headsets, all stereo. A basic Panasonic set, Apple EarPods, Bose QC20 (Android version), Bose QC25, and I even have the Sony Active Noise Cancelling earbuds which only function with the Xperia devices, and even those send the audio from the mics back into my ears.
Each of these headsets work perfectly fine in other devices I have such as Google Nexus 5, Motorola Moto X 2014, iPhone 5S, and others.

phone isn't supposed to do such a thing and with that many headsets tested u can prove it to the service center and ask for a replacement with no questions asked

Yeah, I did a check to make sure the phone was waterproof using the service menu to test the phone pressure. It's never been in any water at all, closest it has ever been is on the bathroom sink while I'm taking a shower.
Yeah, I'm going to have to go down the warranty route I think.
wish u all the best
Thank you sir!
Hi,
As the thread title says, my Z3's top (earpiece) speaker has a buzzing/crackling (similar to sound through a fm radio) sound when any sound is played through it. It also sounds a little quieter than the bottom one.
Anyone faced a similar issue? My phone is under warranty - will it be able to be fixed or is it a software issue?

I've done some reading online...turns out its a very common issue. It's happening to people even with new replacements out of the factory. Oh well...it's bearable.

Yeah...it almost always happens with me but sometimes during calls it goes away...strange issue.
Been through 8 Z3s for various reasons and only one had this issue. So get a replacement as its not normal.
