Is there a way to create or make a (one) folder unwritable on the internal storage which stops the system writing to it?

i have on my internal storage folder called "_install" and "sdconfig.txt" what allow me to automaticly install cabs from internal storage during customizing (after hard reset).
i want to edit cab to change installation dir to Internal storage using WinCE CAB Manager.
i have created in "default Intall dir":
/Internal Storage/Program Files/app.name
but after customizing i have new folder on device memory called Internal storage.
Real 4gb internal storage is now called "Internal storage 2"
what to do to change installation dir to Internal storage?
you should just need a backslash ("\program......")
^ what he said. Also, to restore the name of your 4GB Internal Storage, just delete the Internal Storage folder on your device and reboot.
I'm having a hard time making sense of the file system. I have directories which contain copies of the same pictures, music and app data. How do I tell what needs to be kept for app functionality and which is the copy?
There's an /external_sd/ directory that contains much of the same data as /sdcard/. They both point to -> sdcard0 so I'm guessing this is just some sort of junction? I also have a directory called /storage/ which contains the sub-directories /sdcard0/ and /sdcard1/
I'm trying to clear up space and just organize things better since I just switched to this phone recently and took my sd card with me.
sdcard0 is your internal SD, and sdcard1 is your external.
My suggest would be to plug your phone into your computer, then pull everything off of the external SD and format the external using your PC. Unplug the phone from the computer, then plug it back in. The directories that auto-generate are the ones your system needs. Go through the old card folders and move the ones you want back on. ezmode
Can anyone tell me a way to move my obb files from internal storage to SD card.(rooted phone)
I'm using marshmallow 6.0.1
I think from 5.0 lollipop moving files in external sd android/data folder is not possible. Files created by apps, mostly received from wifi sharing are stored inside android/data/<app folder> by few apps. These files cannot be directly moved to any root directory of external sd. When moving it's copying and deleting those files, like moving to another drive even thought it's the same drive .
This makes a particular problem when the external sd storage is low. For an example in order to move a 2GB file from external_sd/android/data/<app folder> to external_sd/Movies system required additional 2GB, it copies the file and then deletes the source file. So moving is not possible if the free space is below 2GB .
Internal sd android/data folder doesn't have this issue, moving files is direct and quick(without copying and deleting).
I'm guessing it's because of the owner permissions of the android/data folders and root folders . Is there any workaround to make files move without copy-moving from external_sd/android/data folder to external_sd/<any folder other than android> without root .
Hi,
I have an SD Card, which I formatted for use as internal storage. Now I'd like to copy some music files to my phone.
I do not want to copy the files to the phone's internal memory. What location should I paste my files through USB so that it actually goes to the external SD Card and not the internal phone memory ?
Bump!
