i was playing around with my galaxy s6 and saw that you could edit the builds.prop file, in hopes that i could fix the ram issue.
unfortunately that didnt work out and now my phone is stuck in the stock bootloader without adb enabled.. any chance you guys can help? pls? <3
Flash your stock ROM via Odin
You won't lose any data or photos etc
It will restore file system and fix your problem

Hi all, needing some help here...
I unlocked my bootloader as I wanted to flash a new ROM using the "fastboot oem unlock" thing. It unlocked and I now get the wee padlock at boot. I have an i9023.
However, my Wi-Fi no longer worked so I installed Clockwork with fastboot and then flashed the stock 2.3.6 full ROM for i9023 from the OTA thread. Wi-Fi still doesn't work, constantly switching between "Scanning" and "Disconnected".
Please help, what else can I do?
I've tried the stock ROM and CM7, both still no luck. Please help! I really need this working!
EDIT: I've managed to fix it by locking the bootloader again...thankfully you can do that on a Nexus! Very odd though...

Yes, this may be the wrong thread. Yes I know I am a noob and I apologized.
But I seriously think I effed up my phone and I really need someone to help me fix it. I was trying to root it via this youtube vid:
How to Root Samsung Galaxy S 4G Gingerbread 2.3.6 Part 1
But now it's stuck in an infnite static boot loop and sometimes won't even turn on. Is there any possible way to fix this or at least get it back to it's original software
Please help!!!
can u get into download mode?
Yes I can. Is there a kill disc program or something I can download to completely reinstall my original android software? At this poinnt I just want it back to where it was
You will hv to download ur phone's firmware an use odin to restore it to factory defaults, just google search ur phone's firmware ul find it an use odin ul be good
hey i tried that and i have SU and CWM app. is that considered rooted?

1. Get odin
2. Google search your phones factory firmware
3. Google search how to Factory Reset from boot cause im to lazy to go that far. its all over this forum.
and for the dude above me. just cause you have superuser on you phone does not mean it is rooted. have you used applications like setCPU, if so does it allow root access. if not you do not have a rooted phone. superoneclick. use it. its geat
Yeah, Odin is your best bet to go. Make sure you get the correct firmware. Whatever you do do some research on the stock Galaxy S 4G Gingerbread firmware if you make a mistake loading the wrong files and letting odin to go to work you will dead brick the phone. There will be a still chance on recovering it but you will need a person that can do that and there are some here, they will charge you like $30 for it at least. Good luck
If you have those on your phone then you are rooted

Hello Linuxnubee,
Thanks for the reply. One more question. Did you have it rooted before sending it back or before flashing anything? If so how did you remove root?
Thanks again!

Yeah that's good one too!! I want to know that also if possible...
Yes i had root but was able to flash original firmware back to it so it said official thankfully sammy didnt notice it was rooted but when i took it back to shop they knew lol but as it under warrenty and i pointed out hardware showing them that it didnt happen every boot only most of them they sent it off and it came back.
unfortunately they put jellybean on it even though it had ics which is what i said to put back on it.
I have been looking for something similar to what is going on with my phone and I found nothing. I have been rooted for awhile (so I could use all my apps with MW) but decided to flash CM 11 and get all the bloatware off. I followed a youtube tutorial to flash a custom recovery but I seem to have been unsuccessful in unlocking my bootloader first and so I get the following error.
System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn your phone off and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help.
Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you get to download mode? If so you can try to re flash stock ROM.

That's exactly what I had to do, problem I had though was Odin would fail as soon as I clicked start. Then for no damn reason my (still without a successful Odin run) my phone boots up like nothing was wrong. But I shot myself in the foot cause towelroot isn't working. Boooo....at least I have a working phone. Thanks for responding.
please bear with me!
i had by mistake wiped internal storage on my phone along-with system, cache, etc and then it showed me that no os installed...i switched off me phone...went into bootloader and went into recovery...its showing me teamwin screen and then it automatically reboots and im stuck on the bootloop (not exactly bootloop but it gets stuck on the screen where googe is written followed by a unlocked icon, before the animation starts)...theres no way that i know off to get into my recovery... im connecting my phone to my pc but its not reading my device...soooooo i think my phone is bricked and i would like some help.
i have read a few threads but they were about soft bricking where ppl did have access to their recovery...not me...also searched on google...came across a site which told me that if recovery is not accessible pls contact xda for more help...so pls help me
U sound like you're flapping for nothing and just haven't been reading the right threads. U don't want recovery. You want to be in the bootloader. Then look for @rootSU 's thread on fastboot

If you can get into the bootloader, you can flash a factory image and return to stock.

Have you tried flashing Recovery through Fastboot? If you are not able to then I guess, the only choice you have is to try to use an factory image as the previous post mentions.
