I use windows 10, I have the kies drivers and am using the phone's original cable
any ideas ?

Try running odin as an administrator. Right click on odin and run as administrator

By any chance are you getting error 43 device descriptor errors? I had that happening to me yesterday after trying to flash using odin, the problem persisted even on another laptop running win8.1 but suddenly fixed itself

Ok look my friend now un connected ur phone from pc then un install samsung kies & drivers then reboot ur pc & now re install samsung kies with drivers now connect ur phone to pc & open odin then try it ok

Well I have had those problems too and they have always fixed themselves somehow.
Try different USB ports or even another PC. Make sure you use the newest version of Odin and make sure you run it as administrator. Try to reinstall your phones drivers otherwise.

@roydok
I already tried that, same problem. thank u man
@godutch
I didn't get that error
@thereassaad
I will try reinstalling the drivers, hope it works. thanx
@ Faspaiso
I tried another port, but i only have one laptop so i can't try another
but i will reinstall the drivers and see
thank u
i will be back

Also try a different USB cable. This was the culprit 1st time I flashed.

i tried everything suggested but same problem
but i found a website gives drivers for each phone in name, i downloaded the galaxy s6 drivers and it worked fine
i wanted everything to be erased but the update didn't delete anything!
is there a way to make erase everything by using odin ?

I would use recovery for wiping partitions on my phone, not ODIN.
Otherwise, could you post a link to the website with the drivers that worked for you?

@crazyshin -
What ROM were you running before attempting your first ODIN flash?
What ODIN package are you attempting to install (provide link if possible)?

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Try a more recent firmware. In general you can't go back to older firmware on Samsung devices. You're issue is not a missing pit file. For further help ask here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320430

Solution
I know now the problem and the solution.
The problem: The flash memory on the mainboard is defect. This was the answer of Samsung Support Office.
The solution: The mainboard have to be replaced.
I am now in Turkey and here there is no N8020, but just a bad version (N8005) !!!
So, Samsung could not repair it for me. But I found everything I need for the repair on ifixit, also the board, BĀ“but I could not collect the money for that, so maybe I wait or sell it. Here in turkey no one want to buy it because the phones here have to be registered and this costs much of money. hmm

Looking for help with my bricked Note 5 Sprint

https://forum.xda-developers.com/not...3#post65243282
This is a post I made previously about a year ago. Yesterday I picked the phone back up and tried to figure things out again. A year ago I never really got anywhere. I have never flashed anything or used Odin.
This is how far I got yesterday and I am looking for some advice. I tried flashing a stock ROM via Odin because the guy who commented said I should try that. So yesterday I did.
This is the site I followed.
https://devs-lab.com/how-to-unbrick-...xy-note-5.html
I downloaded Odin3 v3.10.0. I then downloaded Samsung Keys to install the usb driver but it wouldn't even detect the phone. That didn't work so I went here to get the drivers installed.http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...y-note5-sprint
I then downloaded the stock Rom the website had on it that matched the Product name SM-n920P that comes up when the phone is in download mode.
http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyNote...T2BPC3_SPR.zip
After that finally downloaded I extracted the Rom to the desktop. I opened Odid clicked on AP like the website said and clicked Start. I then received a Nand Write Start error and nothing happens.
Here is a picture of what Odin looks like when I tried to do it.

Thank you for your help and if I sound like a moron I am sorry I am not very experience when it comes to this.
- When you add the tar.md5 file don't remove the .md5, it will verify the file integrity and may take a few minutes to do so.
- You must be in download mode to use Odin. When you attach the phone, one of the squares should light up telling you which com port is attached.
- You might be blocked from flashing older firmware, PC3 is rather old. Try a newer firmware. All firmwares are available in my repository:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/byye3kocz6nn4/Stock_Roms_Note_5
Files are zipped. Unzip and place the tar.md5 in AP.

I forgot to mention I did have the phone in download mode when I previously attempted to download that file on Odin.
I think I just added the file I didn't know the .md5 got removed. Should I add it a different way to make sure it isn't removed.
Which firmware in the repository should I use? They all look like the same thing to me. Except for the one at the end that says full wipe.
Should I just download one of the newer firmwares on that list and put the phone into download mode and give it another go? If so which file and how?
Again thank you for your help and I apologize if you have already told me something and I just didn't understand.
Don't mess with file extension.
They aren't listed chronologically but alphabetically, pd is newer than pc3 and so on. Try pd2 first maybe.
Alright thanks bro I appreciate all your help and understanding. I will try the 2nd one like you said. It says it will take 2 hours to download so I can use it on Odin and give it a try. I will post an update later crossing my fingers this works.

try a different cable, try the cable in a different usb port or try it on another computer too if that doesn't work.
You could also try taking it to the sprint store and having them flash it for you. I think they might charge a fee for that, so ask first.

Alright I tried them all again with a new cord and a different port. When my cousin gave me the phone I don't think the contract was left in a good standing. Would providing them with the phone show up under his name and possibly make them not want to do it? Also any idea on how much they may charge if you had to guess? I'm really strapped for cash right now and am trying to fix this phone for my dad because his phone is messing up and we can't afford another phone. Do you think I should try to flash some different ones off the list you provided and give it a shot? I was hoping to fix it at home because I'm not sure what Sprint will say when I go up there. Here are the retries. Thanks again for all the help, sorry it keeps being such a hassle.

I don't know what Sprint charges, it used to be $35. They may not look at it if there is no active account for it anyway.
Maybe check with some local cell third party phone shops and ask what they would charge to flash the factory image back to the phone.
I suggest you to change usb cable, reinstall drivers on pc, use a different usb port, if still same try on a different computer. It looks like phone isn't in download mode in logs from odin

I think it's been in download mode it says downloading and do not turn off target. Do you think maybe I have a bad version of Odin or installed the wrong drivers. Do these drivers look correct for this phone?
I downloaded the drivers here because the phone wouldn't pick up on Keis or smartswitch to do it.

Yes version ver. 1.5.45.00 looks fine.
Uninstall kies & smartswitch if they are installed and also the Samsung driver suite. Reboot and just install the drivers alone. They may be conflicting.
Don't forget to change usb port from pc that you are using now with another one and see if any changes

Ok I finally got it guys. I tried it ob my other computer and everything worked like a charm! The note is working great and lets me into it. Thank you so much for all you're help. I couldn't of done it alone. I just have one more question now. My dad is on AT&T is there a way I can unlock the phone to use the Sprint Note 5 on AT&T for my dad? I have the old sim card that my cousin left in it. It is a AT&T card for some reason not sure why. I thought about calling Sprint and asking them to do it but I don't have an account with them. Any more suggestions on what should do now to get the phone to work for my Dad on AT&T?:fingers-crossed:
Here is the script of the phone from Odin on my laptop.

Dang I just tried to open the phone and it still has a Finger Print Lock. How can I get rid of this and gain access to the phone?

There's a tool for that but it is difficult to use.
You should verify the phone has a clean esn, you can google that.
You wont be able to activate the phone on any U.S. carrier if the meid has been blacklisted anyway.

I got into the phone last night the FRP was already off. I guess when my cousin had it a year ago it had been turned off. So I hard reset the phone and it worked. Right now all you can do is use it on wifi. I'm gonna get the ESN checked and make sure it is clean then hopefully I can take it to Sprint and they will unlock it so I can use it at attached.

S6 Stuck at Logo Screen, flashed new ROM twice with no change

Hello,
A bit of back story first - yesterday, my mother's Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) suddenly rebooted to the device's logo screen ( the "Samsung Galaxy S6....powered by android" one) and it's been stuck there since. There had been no "tinkering" so to say with the device; debugging was disabled, the bootloader had not been tampered with at all, and all the updates were done through the official android route. The last major update was around a month ago, to Nougat from MM, after which I cleared the cache. The latest update was about 10 days ago, a minor Nougat one, but the cache had not been wiped.
Now down to business. The phone does not turn off at all. Holding the power button and the volume down just reboots it to the same screen. That being such, I cannot access recovery mode. I can however access Download Mode which makes be believe that all hope is not lost.
Using Odin, I attempted to flash a stock ROM, which for this model was Android v5.1.1, and now I understand why that wouldn't work. At this point instead of the logo screen, it showed a blue screen saying something along the lines of "An error has occurred while updating your phone, please use Smart Switch emergency recovery". I had tried to connect to smart switch before but it wouldn't recognize the device. I was saving initialization as a last resort.
I then flashed the most recent MM ROM for this model (which I found on sammmobile) using Odin, having read it was possible to still downgrade, and believing that perhaps Nougat was causing this problem. And it was successful, except the phone now returned to the logo screen. Again, with the same problems as before. And I still couldn't wipe the data and cache because I still couldn't access recovery mode.
Finally I connected the phone to Smart Switch and chose to initialize it. After going through all the steps, and downloading the files, it said it was successful but the phone is still stuck at the damn logo screen. I can still access download mode for what it's worth but I haven't a clue now as to what I should do next.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3803841&d=1467715462
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: PHN
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run this Odin (even if you have another one);
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3804544&d=1467772303
When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin, connect your phone to your PC in download mode and click "Start" on Odin.
If this method doesn't fix you issue, you have to replace the motherboard then.
no luck

thank you so much for your answer but it does not seem to have worked. I did everything as instructed but I'm not quite sure as to why this is happening exactly. This is the log from Odin, maybe it'll help:

It appears to have loaded successfully but it is still stuck at the logo screen. Could you please explain why this not working would mean I would have to replace the motherboard? Thank you once again
(also I'm running Odin with only "Auto Reboot" and "F.Reset Time" ticked, don't know if that will help)

Odin log says that there's no problem.
The produce I've wrote above is the last think you can do on new Samsung devices.

Do you have any idea what could have caused this issue? Would changing the motherboard be guaranteed to fix this and if so, how?

Replacing motherboard will not help You unless You have a way to program EFS and IMEI information to it.
