Hi all,
I have recently updated my Nexus 5 to Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and now nfc no longer works since updating. I have made sure that nfc service has been turned on, and I have made sure that the nfc reader is connected properly as well. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm using a Nexus S I9020A with Cyanogenmod 9 v1.1 with the Google Apps v10 package. I have Android beam enabled, but have no one with another Nexus to try it with, but yesterday I tried it with my friends BlackBerry curve that has an NFC chip in it and the Blackberry worked to transfer smart tags to another blackberry of the same kind, but when I touched my Nexus to it, nothing happened.
Does Android Beam only work with other Android devices running ICS?
Also, I noticed the Tags app from Gingerbread is installed but I can't find it anywhere.
I think its for ambroid based only s there is no open standard for nfc yet every phone is having out now...
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
does it only ICS have Android Beam ...?
besides , i have not yet encountered any other phones with NFC ...
I had the same problems between 2 Nexus Ss. Saw the following somewhere else on XDA which cured it:
Go to Manage Apps, All, Nfc service.
Clear data and cache. Force stop.
Turn phone off and on
NFC appears to be broken on my new Nexus 5. Is anyone else experiencing the following:
If I turn NFC on in the settings (ticking the NFC box), the NFC setting greys out every 4 seconds, staying greyed for about half a second, as though the phone were repeatedly trying to turn on NFC but is failing.
NFC does not work at all and ignores tags and other NFC phones.
I am hoping this is a firmware glitch (baseband version M8974A-1.0.25.0.17, Build KRT16M) and not a hardware defect. Can anyone confirm whether they have this problem too?

My NFC is working fine. The NFC box was already checked with a blue tick when I went to the menu, and then I successfully sent beams back and forth between my N5 and S3 (which is currently running CM 10.1).
My N5 baseband and build are exactly the same as yours.
I think its best to get a replacement. It seems like its defected for whatever reason.

I've requested an RMA this morning. Google apparently have not heard of this problem so it would seem to be an isolated problem.
Hey guys I'm running CM11 on my at&t G2 and I cannot send data using NFC to my Nexus 7; however, I am able to turn NFC and Android Beam on, but nothing beams! Is this a problem with AOSP or is it something else? I would just like for someone else who's running CM11 on their G2 (d800) to confirm whether it works or not. That would be great! Thank you!
Hey guys,
today I received my Mi Band 1S and wanted to pair it with my G930F, but then this error from above occures. Any ideas what I can do? I restarted bluetooth several times, but it did not work.
Some time ago I also had a problem with pairing a Jambox Mini. I was paired but the Jawbone app said, that there is no Jawbone device conneted.
Any ideas how I can connect my Mi Band to the S7?
Thank you!!
I've never had luck pairing my MiBand to any phone. I typically just do it through the Mi app and it works like a champ. Mine ( Mi Band 1S ) is currently paired to my SM-G930F via the app, doesn't show up under bluetooth devices, but, the app works perfectly, and my band syncs and gets all the notifications perfectly.
its like fitbit, it pairs thru the app
Thanks! Problem solved...
How did you get it solved? Same problem with my S6. Cant pair even thru app.
I have the same problem with Samsung S6. It pairs only thru Mi Fit app
But if you can't pair your MI1s with phone Bluetooth you can't use Smart Lock...
wait for an update for the app
app update?
How can it help?
The problem is we can't pair the MIband as a bluetooth device for it to work with smart unlock.
I think it's some samsung stock-rom issue.
Anyone solved this problem without changing rom?....

I've got the same pb... seems like because of Android 6.
I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and since I got the Marshmallow Rom, I can't pair with the Bluetooth yet!
I tried on a Galaxy A7 (SM-A700F, not rooted!), with Android 5, the pairing is instantly effective. I tried to upgrade through OTA, and since it's now on Marshmallow, the pairing fails. Smartlock is OK and approved... and still no pairing.
But on my Note 2, rooted, and on CM13 (Android 6), the pairing works perfectly.
Don't know where the pb is... Guess it's because of Samsung?!?
Any solutions?
Thanks a lot
V.

Hi all,
The Mi-Fit has got a recent update and still no pairing... damned!
I have note 4 with 6.0.1 stock rom and am facing the same issue. Literally tried every solution over the Internet and am really frustrated now. Can't use my band as a trusted device now, which is important as I hand having to unlock my phone again and again, but for security sake can't do without it:/

I wonder if this is a Samsung problem.
Hello guys !
I bought Mi Note 10 like 2 - 3 weeks ago and I have an issue with WiFi. So often I have to turn off and turn on wifi to make it work but the connection is excellent so I don't get it. I have checked also at work and was similar but maybe because so many people was using same network. Another thing is can't install updates on google play and sometimes install the apps.
On my EE internet there is no issue at all.
I'm thinking that I have Note 10 with broken wifi and Will have replace it somehow ? Or maybe make full reset or whatever.
Does anybody have this issue as well and is there anything that I can do ?
