I bought a Samsung galaxy s6 canadian model g920w8 and it got blacklisted after some use. Its unlocked so I was wondering if someone internationally can use it? I know it won't work in the united states but what about internationally?
how did you know if blacklisted ?
You can't call.
Yes it will work internationally, provided the SIM is not of a carrier who checks for blacklisted IMEI numbers.

Can someone please help me with me new galaxy 3s? I just bought it from USA and i want to use it on Greece but it is locked on verizon.... What should i do?
That's an 800MHz/1900MHz CDMA phone. If Greece is like the rest of Europe and uses GSM, the phone doesn't have the radios to work there, so you can't use it. (The SIM is for data, not voice, but you need the basic connection to the network for it to work, and a CDMA phone won't connect to a GSM network.)
You should sell the phone to someone in the US (who wants a Verizon phone - it can't be "unlocked" for other carriers) and buy the GSM version of the phone.

New Verizon phones have worldwide roaming ability (including the S3) so it should work on any GSM carrier outside the US.

It is a sch i535rwb 4g phone. How can i check if it has a worldwide roaming phone? Also what should i do so that i can use it in Greece?
You need the SGH T999 (The GSM variant of the SGSIII) The Verizon variant should NOT work in Greece on a Greek carrier.

Are you sure for that? If i am not wrong this is an US version too, whats the diference and i can use sgh t999 in Greece?
I used to think it was native but apparently not. You can still enable worldwide roaming though.
Here's the thread, you need to do some hackery

You can just root it and and flash the synergy mod rom and it will work on any carrier
Does it actually have a SIM card slot or just a built in one?
If you're looking to use it primarily in your area I'd look for a different phone - sell or trade this one. I've heard the GSM can be used but that it's pretty terrible and certainly not what you'd want for a primary phone.

I have been searching for an answer and have not gotten a clear and definitive answer. Does the T-Mobile Note Edge variant work on all AT&T LTE networks without issue after being unlocked? According to tbr Samsung website both models have the same bands with the t-mobile Edge have 2 additional bands
I have the att model but would really like to be part of the dev community. I have a week and a half to return my att model. I would buy the t-mobile model if it works completely on the networks. Anyone out there using a t-mobile Edge on ATT. Thanks

Think I can help answer a few Qs.
Am using a Straight Talk sim (ATT) in my T-Mo Note Edge. Getting 8-15+ mb/s down...2-4 mb/s up (more than enough for me). Followed rooting method posted by TekHD. Did not see unlock procedure for T-Mo Edge.
T-Mo does hold your unlock hostage for 2+ months or $100 (didn't see this stated and argued). Unlocked through a reputable unlocker through fleabay (~$24 I think - Tmo also recommended...go figure).
Hope this helps.
Wish someone can release a qualcomm kernel w OC/UV/governors and thermal control soon...

Yes, Using one right now. You do not need to unlock it at all it will work right out of the box with an AT&T sim as will all T-Mobile Phones.. This has been a thing for years. There might be some obscure T-Mobile phones without perfect LTE Band or Data support. Every major model will work perfect with absolutely no unlock don't waste your money. I actually called T-Mobile before throwing my gophone sim into the Note Edge T-Mobile variant and cautiously asked if they will blacklist the imei of a phone that is using an AT&T sim. The T-Mobile representative kindly, calmly, and with conviction said that no you will not have your device blacklisted, and that all T-Mobile phones should work out of the box on AT&T. Enjoy not paying for an unlock code! I'll upload pictures of my note edge running AT&T data services via an AT&T gophone sim if you don't believe me. It actually put the APN information in for me automatically too! Meaning I did not have to enter in carrier specific AT&T APN, the software on the Note Edge T-Mo variant picked up the different carrier and entered the APN settings automatically. Woot woot

strange. I have my att sim in a SM-N915T on 6.0.1 N915TUVS2DPG2 and it says network locked.
I'm interested in the possibility of using an unlocked international S6 variant on Verizon's network in hopes of obtaining root. Does anyone know if this is possible? I spoke to a verizon rep on the line about this and I was told that "Theoretically, it should work fine. Verizon cannot offer support for non-verizon variants."
Can anyone with some more knowledge on this shed some light on this matter? Can the international model be activated on Verizon and rooted? If so, which S6 international model can be used?

I'm pretty sure the international version doesn't support CDMA, which is used by Verizon for 2G and 3G network. So you won't be able to call or text (data should still work though). The Verizon S6 (G920V) actually comes with a Qualcomm modem to support CDMA, as opposed to Samsung's own Shannon.

Any ideas about the Sprint Variant then? It's been rooted and is CDMA.

The Sprint variant (G920P) should be compatible with Verizon as it comes with the Qualcomm modem.

I am currently using my sprint S6 on the Verizon Network.
Current issues:
PRL needs to be updated because it is preferring to use the sprint network over Verizon. This makes it so that my fastest speeds are 1Mb/s. not to mention sprint network here blows with reception.
If anyone could help me with what PRL would be the correct one to use. Also I haven't flashed the PRL before and I am reluctant to start pressing buttons in the CDMA Dev Tool.
Help would be appreciated.
Dear all
I used to have the original samsung gear with 3g, very cool watch and the new one looks amazing. However, I know the 3g version has an embedded e sim, can this be activated and used stand alone in the uk? Does anyone know?
Regards
Andy
Definitely would work if activated in States and used in Europe but roaming charges would be a killer. I don't know of any European provider supporting esim. Tried mine in Poland (Tmobile version) and it worked.

T-Mobile in Poland was able to activate your USA-purchased Gear S2 3G? Which USA carrier model do you own? Or is it from a different country?

Tmobile USA version
I live in the USA and use TMobile mvno(mint mobile) but don't want to deal with switching to international rom to flash custom ROMs. What model number do I need to buy?
I use t-mobile MVNO (Mint) in the USA and I have model GM1917. Not rooted and have absolutely no issues with Mint mobile.

GM1917 is the North America unlocked.
It's what I use with dual SIM on Verizon and T-Mobile.
No issues.
Also using the unlocked GM1917 on T-Mobile, I've rooted it, and it's an excellent device!
