Hi all,
I wanted to create a dedicated thread to what have been scatteredly reported by other users in various generic threads when unlocking the Kyocera Brigadier. Mine is rooted (4.4.2, software version 1.102VZ, Kernel 3.4.0-g42c25d8, Build #KOTH49H) with a T-Mobile plan. The original carrier for the device was Verizon. I applied that trick to unlock APN settings. It worked pretty well (I've used kingroot instead of debloater). The Data (4G LTE) is now blazing fast and I can receive call and text messages. However, I can't make outgoing call/text. Below are some details:
Outgoing call: The phone application continuously indicates "CALLING..." but it is stuck there. If this is the first call after a reboot I also have the message "Error while searching for network". Then, I try to tap the "End Call" button but that do not close the phone app. The only way to unfreeze the app is to wait for an incoming call. About 1 restart out of 10 gives the error message "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Outgoing text message: I systematically get the Error "Cause Code 0"
A factory reset do not solve the issue.
I would be very gratefull if a pro could help.
Not getting a lot of help on this, eh? I have the same problem with mine, I wish I had done more research before I bought the phone. I guess all I can do now is put the paperweight back in the box until either someone makes a rom for it or i figure out how to do it.
is your 4g lte is t-mobile's or else? what band is t-mobile's 4g?
did you try 3g or global and tested call/sms?
im outside usa my local sim is working on 3g out/coming calls and sms are fine but no 4g yet....
i hope someone will help you
I am on the Rogers network in Ontario, Canada. Wireless internet works perfectly, I get 4g, and can receive calls and texts, but I am unable to send either. Rogers was no help, they said it was a software issue. Downloading different phone and texting apps did nothing. The bloody wireless companies locking phones down is a complete pain in the ass.

I just flashed up the new Energy ROM. I keep getting a pop up that says "Device in registering on a voice service only network. Data services are currently unavailable." The internet seems to be working fine. I know i am in a 1X only service area but everything was fine on the stock ROM. Why am i getting this pop up and how can i fix it?
Anyone help with a solution for the "voice service only" popup ???
I am getting the same pop up on the mighty rom and i am also in the 1x area. Data is working fine also but this error is annoying.
Device is registering on a voice only network error message
Device is registering on a voice only network. This is extremely annoying. This error message will pop up in no more than 5 seconds after you click OK. This happens on flashed roms of the Touch Pro 2. I am on Verizon.

I've been looking for a possible fix to this issue as well and can't find anything. I also contacted htc support hoping there might be a way to disable the message alert but they say it's verizon's network that sends out the message? I guess this makes sense considering it doesn't happen with the Verizon stock ROM! I was hoping a registry hack might do the trick, but if it's a message from the network then there's not much you can do to stop it unless verizon was to issue a specific carrier cab to address it. . .
did you program your phone with *228 after your last flash??

I have a Photon Q 4G LTE bought from Freedompop, running the Freedompop ROM. Receiving calls works. However, initiating calls gets me a
"The number or code you have dialed is incorrect, please check the number or code ...
Message 7 Switch 426".
The outgoing call does connect, if its answered while the message is playing there is
no voice in either direction until the message is over, and then its only from destination
to phone. If its answered after the message is done, voice works in both directions.
The message is quite long since its repeated in Spanish. Results are the same, wifi or
LTE.
Freedompop tech support could not diagnose this and had me send the phone back.
The replacement has the identical problem, and could actually be the same phone
(I didn't record the serial number, so I'm not sure). I have uppated the PRL and Profile
with no change, and the Freedompop App is also the latest.
Any idea whats wrong, or how to work around it?
Hi guys, i have two G860p and tried to unlock them for using in New Zealand
Both of them running android 5.0 and i used the idoneapps to unlock it
For the FIRST one, the phone got signal, can send text, use 3G data, make phone call BUT ONLY UNABLE TO RECEIVE phone call. There is always an error of "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" when other people call me. I did factory reset and used the another unlock method - bring back to 4.4.4 and unlock by SU.apk (http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...sim-unlocking-sprint-galaxy-s5-g900p-t3085624) but it still has the same issue. After that i dialed ##72786## to bring the phone back to original setting to find another solution. One day after that, i realize that i didn't enable the GCF after unlock the phone and tried to do it immediately with the hope that it will solve my issue. Unfortunately, the issue still happen and i also have a new trouble with handset free activation.
Interestingly, for the second one, i just need to enable GCF after using the idone apps and it works perfectly. In fact, it has no issue with receiving phone call like the first one.
So, anybody understand what happen with my first phone after dial ##72786##, how can i get rid of handset free activation and unlock my phone like the second one. In fact, i have tried to flash the orginal room, factory reset, etc, but the handset free activation still appear and unable to receiving phone call after unlock as well.
oh, another information is my first phone has clean ESN and is not blacklisted
Problems Handling Phone Calls (Call Waiting, 3 way, etc.) Verizon S5 on AT&T Network
recently bought a used Verizon Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V). It came with the lollipop OS. My service provider is H2O wireless (on the AT&T Network. From the outset, I had problems with phone calls, text messaging.
1. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to dial (Like to enter numbers for automated systems).
*I solved this one by going to:
settings>applications>call>
Scroll down to DTMF tones and change setting to long.
2. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to click over to calls on call waiting. When I do try to click over, I still hear the original call for a few seconds and then both calls drop and I get an error message that says "no sim or invalid sim". If I don't answer the call, both calls drop and I get the same message. The same thing happens if a try to make a 3 way call.
3. If someone calls me and I try to call them back, the call redirects to turn it into an international call and the call doesn't go through.
*I solved this using an app called prefixer
4. If I try to text message someone who called me, I get an error message back saying the phone number is invalid.
I figured I would have to root my phone to be able to make some custom changes. I first had to downgrade to kitkat (android 4.4.2) and root it and then upgrade with root using some very helpful posts and resources found on this site (thanks). When I downgraded, problems 1 and 2 went away (for number 1, I had to change my network mode, but that solution didn't work when I went back to lollipop). After upgrading beack to lollipop, all of these problems were there, though I was able to resolve 2 of them, the other 2 are problematic.
I think theres a problem with the way the phone is handling the AT&T network signal since they have a different type of network from verizon but i don't know.
I'm will in try to install a custom ROM, change settings in service mode, etc. I just haven't come accross any info to point me towards the right instructions. Alternatively, I may trade or sell this phone ant get an AT&T based phone. What do you suggest?
Hi I'm having no luck dealing with net 10, and I'm hoping I can get some assistance from you fellas here at xda . About a week ago my phone stopped making calls, when I try to dial out it says server unavailable. I can make texts when I send them it says sending forever but the text still goes through. I can receive texts , cannot receive calls and my internet works perfect. Net 10 is thoroughly convinced that I have a defective phone and after they have provisioned it 10 times nothing has changed . They had me factory reet, then after that failed has informed me I have a faulty device. So I bought another one and what do you know see problem .
Besides the fact that these people I don't think know anything about what they are talking about I am going nuts.
Here's what I have tried and some info I think may help
I have turned off volte and enhanced calling . Nothing happens .
My phone is the tcl lx
Net 10 Verizon sim
In phone info everything is right but voice network type says unknown
I have never seen this before but in shortcut maker I had 6 separate operator plugins activities. After whiping phone 2 remain the first just crashed second pops up a box saying switching to lte for better voice quility
Thanks I can provide any info if it will help
