Photos and YouTube videos slow on WiFi - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having this issue with any WiFi network.
It could also be on ANY network...
But every time I'm on my 150Mbps WiFi, and I load up either Google Play, YouTube, or Instagram - it takes FOREVER to download pictures of apps, videos, etc, etc.
I feel like when I turn WiFi off, and try again, it loads perfectly.
I turn my WiFi back on, and it is extremely slow.
This is on any WiFi network.
It takes literally ages to load Google Play app images. It also takes minutes to download one app...
I looked it up, and someone had the same issue with S5. They turned Airplane mode ON, and then WiFi ON, and the speeds were fast again.
I tried this, and it worked!
I turn Airplane Mode OFF, with WiFi still on, and it is slow. It takes a minute to load one Instagram picture. Hmm.
App updates are now very fast. Picture load VERY quickly.
Any ideas on a permanent solution?

HTC HD2 (Android) - Data Locks

Hello all.
I've been searching and searching for a solution to my issue. But I haven't found anything related to it. The problem I'm running into is that the data on my phone locks up and refuses to release if I use the data a lot on my phone. A lot meaning generally surfing the web, watching videos (via YouTube/Netflix), browsing the Market, using Google Maps, etc. Not that it won't lock when I'm using Gmail, or updating weather, or checking Gas prices, which it does. But they usually don't use data like the previously listed apps do.
The down arrow next to the H lights up and stays lit, a solid green. When data works, both the Up and Down arrows light up. And I notice that once it's just the Down arrow, data stops working. My phone slows down to an impossible crawl. Everything basically stops responding. Now if I'm quick enough on the draw and I notice that it's about to do it, and I enable Airplane mode, it cuts all of my connections. Then I disable Airplane mode and I can use the data again for a bit. But because of this problem, I have to restart my phone once a day (at least).
Data works fine (when it doesn't lock), and is really fast. Don't have a problem with that.
I'm currently running:
MDJ eVo Sense rEVOlution 2.3 (Froyo)
Baseband: 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
Kernel: 2.6.32.15r7.7-g187ebc6
on T-Mobile US Network
Everything else on this build works brilliantly. This one snag makes this otherwise amazing phone, extremely frustrating. I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks!

GPS & Cell/Data Connection Issue

I have a reoccurring issue of losing cellular signal whenever I run applications that use a constant GPS and data connection. For example, I use Glympse almost daily, and I find that after 10-15 minutes Glympse reports "no data connection" and my 4G LTE symbol is replaced with the no signal (circle w/line through it) symbol. I cant get phone calls, texts, data, nothing. This seems to happen with any app that uses GPS and data like Glympse, Google Maps/NAV, Navigon, etc. If I use an app that just uses data (Pandora, Sirius, etc) with no GPS the connection is solid and I have no issues. I am able to get the connection back by turning on airplane mode then turning it off again. If I just leave it, the connection never comes back, until I turn on airplane mode or reboot.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Hoping that a fix or ICS comes out in the next couple months that will resolve this. Between this and the screen issues I am thinking about taking it back when the Note is released and seeing if they will let me swap it out.

Wifi takes a couple seconds to "initialize" when I unlock

When I need to look something up and unlock my phone, it takes a couple seconds to actually connect to the internet even though it says it's fully connected on wifi. When I open chrome or google now it'll take a couple tries to actually get results. Autofill won't populate, voice searches don't work, hangout texts won't come through. I'm on 5.1 cataclysm and elementalx but this has been an issue before 5.1 and it's on multiple networks. It's only a couple seconds, but it's consistent. I have all those sleep wifi smart wifi things disabled.

S6 wifi issues

Hello everyone!
I've recently bought my s6 after killing my old s5 with salt water on a Mediterranean trip (after taking it apart I found out the previous owner had the screen replaced, probably didn't do a very good job of putting the seals back together), and I was hoping that the notifications issue was gone on the s6. Here's what happens: when I get up in the morning I usually start my phone routine by reading the news, maybe watching some videos on YouTube, check on my games, and so on. The WiFi is on all the time when I'm at home. The first time I unlock the screen I only see the default email app notifications, 2 or 3 new emails. Once the screen is unlocked, other notifications show up, like the Gmail app, WhatsApp, tapatalk, and so on. It does this 80 to 90% of the time, maybe once or twice a month I see all my notifications the first time I press the power button to unlock my screen. Going on, half an hour to one hour after reading my newspapers feeds and watching videos, playing my games, there is a noticeable lag whenever I try opening a new Internet tab, or a new YouTube video, or anything that requires the Internet connection. After this lagginess starts, usually within a few minutes my phone behaves like it's not connected to the Internet anymore. The WiFi signal is strong, it stays connected to the router, but I can't use the Internet, it just shows that it's loading whatever it is I've asked it to load at the moment (YouTube video, internet tabs and so on) and remains like that until I disconnect from the WiFi and reconnect. I have to do that for the Internet connection to work again. I've noticed that while on mobile data it doesn't exhibit this issue as much, maybe just the occasional WhatsApp notifications halt, other than that it seems to be working ok.
Before you answer you must know that I'm not using the"do not disturb" mode at all, the router is brand new and it gets a reset every few days . I experience this issue both at my place and at my girlfriend's place, we have different router manufacturers.
I used to get the same problem with the old s5 as well. At first I thought the router was the issue, got a new one, the issue is still there. I also did the wipe cache partition, factory settings reset, different Google account, all with the same end result.
Sorry for the layman terms, I was trying to present the facts as I experience them in hope that the more technologicaly educated of you will know where or why the issue happens.
If you have any ideas or advice that I haven't tried, please share and thank you for reading.

WIFI got crazy

Hi all,
For the past few days, my Galaxy s6 WIFI got crazy.
When I switch it on, it scan for networks, find some and the network it knows and connect to it.
but than, it keep scanning all the time.
meaning, all other networks are gone and I can see only the network that it connected to, after 2-3 sec it start to scan again while still connected.
showing 2-3 networks around, and than stop scanning and all of the networks are gone again (except the one it connected to), and after 2-3 sec, all over again.
In addition, if I try to switch it off, it looks like I can't - it keeps start and stop scanning all the time in a loop. like on and off, on and off - and in addition its killing my battery.
The only thing I managed to do is, when I clicked to switch it off, a sec before it got crazy there was a line there so I clicked on it and turned off the option of
letting apps to search for WIFI automatically.
This solve the switch off and on issue - so when I switch to off, its stays off.
I don't know how to get back to this screen (of letting or not to apps to search for WIFI) tough.
The first problem that it keeps scanning when on even if connected to a network - still can't find a solution for it.
I found someone with the same issue on a local forum, he did a factory reset and couldn't located the problem.
Can someone advise?
Thanks.
